MERRY CHRISTMAS TO MY EXTENDED FAMILY! Celebrating the birth of Jesus. May you all have a wonderful day.

Thanks for all the great treasures of Christmas Videos!
Very festive.

We had a fun time with family last night. Way too much food.
Everyone helped clean up and put things away which was so welcomed. Nice feeling getting up to a clean kitchen and dining room!

Today we go to Jill’s and have leftovers from our dinner and added items Jill will be making!

Merry Christmas to each and every one of you good people.

No new snow! Yippee. Ha ha.

I was reminded yesterday of why I dislike all TV channels that you have to pay extra for.

There was no NFL football to watch on Christmas, unless you were signed up with Netflix. Is that the way it's going to be now? Pay us extra or no football, which used to be broadcast for free.

I'm so sick of this greed by all these new streaming channels. How long before the Free channels start charging for shows?

Looks like everyone might want to buy at least one more ticket for the next Mega-Millions, since nobody won the BILLION dollars on Christmas eve. I think the next drawing is on Friday.

Hopefully a calmer day for all of you today.

And for goodness sakes, don't you dare start taking down your Christmas decorations. :)

Good Boxing Day morning.
So, are all of you up and out to the Boxing Day sales? Lu-Ann and I remember those days. We would go and sit at one of the coffee shops in the mall and simply people watch. After we had scored half price Hallmark ornaments and half price Hickory Farms stuff for New Year’s Eve.
Now then, we do sincerely hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas Day.
I’m surprised that The NFL doesn’t have their own steaming channel that carries all of the games, live and on demand replays Dave. We watched both games here yesterday. They were on one of our free networks, CTV.
I have to admit to paying $79.00CDN per year for my Formula 1 streaming channel. I have always been an F1 fan, long before it became “popular” here in North America. The only televised race used to be Monaco on ABC’s Wide World of Sports. Even as a young fella I used to hustle to the local book shop that got British racing magazines “only” 10 days after they were published to read about the daring F1 drivers and their races.

Time to take Ava down to The Navy Yard for a walk. We’ll likely grab a bite to eat at either Caffeine & Co or Bucket List Coffee here in town. Seeing as we’ll be on the road a week from today we’ve used up as much food as we can. I see us eating out a little more over the next week. Shades of our Pat and Bert.
Back in a bit.
Have a fantastic day everyone.

Well, “a bit” must have passed ‘cause I’m back.
colder than it looked at The River this morning. The lady’s wear shop in town had a Boxing Day sale. I walked Ava and fed the squirrels. Lu-Ann looked in the shop but came out empty handed. Bucket List was closed and Caffeine & Co was going crazy so we just headed back home. I’m guessing turkey sandwiches for lunch…

That turkey stll hanging around Lee. It should be gone pretty soon. It sounds like it is pretty much like our beef.
My son in law used to watch foot ball all Thanksgiving and Christmas. Dave. we won't start collecting the Christmas items until after New Years Day,
Do any of you remember the day after Christmas, all the stores were closed for inventory, now there open for returns. I used to go down town Wheeling the day after Christmas and it was a ghost town, all the stores were closed, now inventory is all done on computers. It's 47 F the last time I looked and is probably higher now. The glaciers don't stand a chance, glad we went to Glacier National Park about 6 years ago.
I need a cup of coffee, join me any one?

Just dropping by to say HOWDY Wrabbits.

Slow day here in Macomb, MI. 43F and overcast outside. I'll take that any day.

Lee: Time to eat a lot of soup and bread for your meals. Sandwiches too. To can always
freeze any leftover bread.

Got all our gifts put away and boxes back in the basement.
I need to start filling up the desk calendar that Art buys us every year.
We have appointments for 2025 waiting to get logged in. Crazy isn't it.

Lunch here was leftovers and dinner is going to be SELF-SERVE because I'm not hungry and neither is Art.... right now. I think some of those Pigs in a Blanket re-heated will be my dinner/snack.

Sounds like everyone survived 2024 Christmas. It actually wasn't as hectic as year past. Thanks goodness. We'll be staying home for New Years Eve this year. Whew..... works for me. I need to remember to change the sheets and pillow cases, etc before ringing in the New Year next week.

Bert D. (Pat's hubby) got a new big TV for the family room from his family. He was on Facebook and looked not only surprised, but happy too. He said he'll be able to read the Closed Captions now. The old TV was flashing on and off. I bet PAT is looking down and happy for him.

You all behave. I'm off to see if I can find a FREE MOVIE on the TV to watch. I'm going to try and find a good old Clark Gable movie. I used to watch those when I was little with my Grandmother. Ha Ha.

Two words for you Kathie. THANK YOU.
Bert looks great. If you’re in touch with him let him know we think about him often.

Can't say I remember inventories being carried out at stores on the day after Christmas, Mike. But like you said, nowadays that day is used for returns. As far as returns, on the news yesterday they said that there is a higher return rate for things people purchased on their computers. So actually going into a store and checking out an item in person is best.

I've gotta admit Lee, you're the only person I know who is a Formula 1 fan. I see that your Florida trip keeps getting closer and closer. Hey Buddy, pass that coffee pot around a little more.

K2; We put our appointments on a larger wall calendar. I think that if Kathi didn't put all the "stuff" on the calendar I'd never know when anyone's birthday is and how old they are. Thanks so much for posting the picture of Bert and his new TV. I've been wonder how he's doing.

Hope that you are still taking it easy following Christmas, KC. Any plans for you and your sisters for New Year's Eve?

Yesterday sucked big time for me. I went in early to the doctor's to get the catheter removed. BUT once again I couldn't pee. Even though I had drank 90 ounces of water. So mid-afternoon they had to put the catheter back in. They'll be giving me more drugs, and try and remove it again in a couple of weeks.

Talk about painful and depressing. Oh well.......this too shall pass.

There ya go Dave. Although why it’s pouring on the floor of the hutch and not in a cup beats me?
It’s Friday, I think. a coolish, damp, windy Friday. However I don’t need to shovel cool, damp or windy.
I hope that they get your “plumbing“ issues figured out my friend. I suspect that right about now it’s really starting to p!$$ you off. Pun intended.
Back before cell phones I had the pleasure of meeting Sir Jackie Stewart at Watkins Glen in Upstate New York. I was working “security” at the entrance to the pit boxes. That meant checking everyone for proper passes. Including Sir Jackie and his wife Helen. I fondly remember both of them as being top notch people.
Most retailers here won’t accept returns on Boxing Day. Back in the day they were busy enough with their half price sales that used to draw tons of people.
Hopefully by this time a week from today we’ll have had our breakfast and we will be 1/2 hour south of Louisville on our way to Atlanta.

KAREN! Hope your Christmas was Merry and Bright.
Did someone say breakfast? Well, OK.
You all have a great day and I’ll be checking on all of you later to make sure you are.

Happy Friday Night GIF by Super Simple
Yup, just in case you haven’t kept track of what day it is……TODAY IS FRIDAY!

Dave: Really “Piss Poor” that you had to get your pee-pee’r reconnected! Hopefully things will flow on your next visit! (we’re a tough group here and try our best to keep you upbeat). Can you even image what Pat and Tony would have to say about your current situation. They would spare NO MERCY.

Karen: I have tried to watch the re-run of your church services and and it’s not working. All I get is a message saying something like: The live service is coming soon! Somebody needs to look into this. I actually like listening to Rev Lisa.
Hope all is good with you and your sisters.

Mike: How’s it going your way. Has Fay put out a few of those Kifle for you to munch on?
I’m going to have to get on a exercise program if I keep eating the various cookies I made!
Not sure what I will be doing today. NOTHING COMES TO MIND. Ha ha

Later gang.

K2, Fay keeps some kiffles, dollies, and 2 or 3 other cookies on the table. I will eat one of them when I'm having coffee.
This week should go fast for you Lee getting ready to make your trip to Florida. I haven't looked at the weather for next week, I hope it will be nice.
Michael does most of his shopping on the computer Dave, when I need something he generally gets it for me. I miss the days when we would shop the stores in the down town area , picture is wheeling WVa 1948 after the Christmas Parade/whg 11th 1948.PNG then later in t he malls, now most of the malls are closed.
Are you resting for your New Years Eve bash Karen?????

What a great picture of the little dog in corner. Oh, wait. Lu-Ann says the picture is of the beautiful double rainbow. Thank you Kathi for sharing that with us.
What a fantastic photo Mike! I love looking at historical shots like that. Yes, this week already seems to be passing fairly quickly. The long range weather looks cool but dry for the drive. We have a chocolate chip / walnut cookie to share in a bit.
Are you getting rain too Kathie? It looks wet until about 11:00 tomorrow morning.
Karen, please report to the principals’ office. Hope you’re busy doing ”fun” stuff.
Have a dandy evening folks.

WOW... KAREN is in big trouble if she's been asked to go to the Principals Office. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Lee: We have a DRIZZLE going on over here right now.
Temp is 41F and by morning it will be
50F. Go figure.
Don't forget to post or send out a list names and stops for your vacation. We like to follow along. Keep our phone numbers handy if you need to get a hold of anybody. Karen would be the closest once you're in Florida!

Mike: Nice old-time picture of shopping in town. Those were the days.

If it is dry and 50F on Saturday I think we'll take the opportunity to take down the outside Christmas lights. Like Art just said, "they come down much faster than going up"!

We had Soup and Corn Muffins for dinner. Just enough after all the food we've been eating lately.

Mike: This was where I would go with my $1 or $2 dollars to shop for family gifts at
J.L. Hudson on the 12 Floor. Still remember doing that. "
