Mama Duck, there are enough feathers for Frick, Frack, Bruce, AND Alcatraz. We could always tell the captain we were trying to make it snow on the Golden Gate Bridge. Does Alcatraz have any cannons left? We could shoot duck feathers skyward......., uh, maybe we could tell people we are trying to make it snow outside like the inside snow that Princess had in the atriums last Christmas.

Mal shouldn't you wait to get the goat at least another year it could get smelly t your place between now and then.

Mama Duck I like that little duck pond with all the little ducks following you.

Jacquie do all those feathers make you itchie. I loved my old pillows made from the feather beds at my great grandmothers--good chance those feathers were over a 100 years old.

Well that looks harmless enough reggae, perhaps we could get that cute little fellow on board and not have to resort to my plan which was to disguise the Goat and sneak him through security.....

Okay...I have a serious question here....

We are RCI cruisers, and I've only been on two Princess Cruises. Our last cruise was on the Diamond Princess, and I'm wondering how the Sea Princess compares to that ship. I know it's smaller, but would it have the same features? Maybe someone who's been on both those ships would know?

One thing I did like on Princess was that they had this little surprise luncheon out on the pool deck a couple times. One was all seafood (crab legs, sushi, etc.) That was great. I'm wondering if they would do something like that on the Sea Princess too?

I've only been on 3 Princess cruises so far and on the three ship's I've been on there are similar features in that a couple lounges had the same names such as Crooner's Lounge, or the Wheel House; the buffet area seems to always be called Horizon Court; In the atrium one night they do the champaign water fall. Those are just a couple things I've noticed similar.

Alright everyone I figured we might start a ducky song. I will start and the rest of you add on. (use the old McDonald song)

Mama Ducky had a pond e i e i o
And on this pond were mama's duckling's and ducks in training e i e i o
They came from the North, they came from the South, east & West, San Francisco will never be the same e i e i o
With a waddle, waddle there and a waddle, waddle here, quack, quack there quack, quack here, there a waddle,
here a waddle everywhere a quack quack mama ducky had her flock e i e i o
North to Alaska they did cruise raising havoc and ruffling feathers as they go, bringing olives, lemoncello, asti., lots of hugs
and maxine too e i e i ooooo

Who is going to do the next paragraph?

Reggae - that sweet little goat you found is MUCH too nice for the purposes of Frick, Frack and Brucie. The Old Goat in Mal D's note is MUCH more suitable.

Thank you for finding such a cute little rascal, though. We wouldn't want to be accused of animal cruelty.

Snowblower lives and breathes Princess, so if he reads this, perhaps he'll chime in (he's not on the Board too often). I'll make a few general comments, but in no particular order of your questions. Poolside buffets on any cruise ship normally are a function of the itinerary (hot vs cold climate, days in port vs sea days). Perhaps as THIS summer season wears on, we can get a report on activities from anyone sailing Dawn Princess (sistership to Sea Princess) from San Francisco. Having sailed on Sun Princess and Star Princess, the cabin type selection is less on Sea Princess and there will be fewer public venues than on the larger ships - but, IMHO, not in a way that you'll feel you're missing amenities. There really should be little to no difference in public functions (Ducks aside).

You know, Mary Ann, when we were on our last cruise to Alaska, the temps were in the 70's most days (mid-July).

The only time I remember it being a little cool was when we sailed near the glacier.

I think some folks picture us in winter parkas, boots and gloves on this trip. If August is anything like our last cruise, it's a lot like summers in Michigan. Not in the 90's but nice mild temps.

Why even the flowers are all in bloom there in the summer, and that's what makes the Alaska cruise so spectacular....all the breath-taking scenery. (Note to self....bring lots of disk space for camera)

Gram....I'm not much of a song writer, but you have to add a line in there to say something about being careful where you walk, not to step in any goat poop...

I also have heard that Alaska can be warm in the Summer mounts too. One thing for certain it will help with packing, cause I will go with short sleeves for sure!!! Leaving more room in luggage for ummm............QUACK!!!!

In the summer here, I'd wear shorts and t-shirts to work if I could get away with it. It is definitely warm in the summer. Of course that is only 360 miles from the nearest sea shore . . . . . . .
