We took the Kids out to dinner tonight. We always do this before a vacation, so even though the Girls are going with us, I decided it wasn't fair to Skeeter to skip the dinner! :) :) :)

If anyone sees a thirteen-year-old beauty attempting to jump overboard because she's embarrassed by her Grandparents, please stop her.

For that matter, if any sees a blankety-blank year old red haired beauty attempting to jump overboard because she's embarrassed by her Parents, please stop her, too!

Kids and grandkids are ALWAYS embarrassed by their parents. It's just the way of things. Kids just CAN'T believe that their parents were ever young and enjoyed doing all the things that they do. Anyone born before color TV's is a dinosaur! That is why my personalized license plates read UST2BKL, cause my DD just can't believe I ever was!

Yes, Meghan is afraid, very afraid...me, well after so many years with Mal (aka Poppi's) antics, I'm a bit used to it (and tend to enable ssshhh :angel )

Anyway, the real reason for my post...would anyone doing the Winchester Mystery House tour PM me the details of the tour you are doing? I'd love to go and have talked Meghan into it (ssshhh again, I have her convinced I am just interested in the craziness of the house, but more than one have said it's haunted, and that's sooo up my alley!)

Thanks!

You will love your tour. It's a lot of fun. In 2003 we did a Friday the 13th Nighttime flashlight tour of the Winchester Mystery House. It was great fun. We had done the tour several times before but always during the day. One time we did the tour with my FIL who owned a historically certified haunted house in PA. At the end of the tour, the guide invited anyone who had questions to stay and she would answer them. No one stayed but us. My FIL looked around and said, "This very room has spirits in it." The guide was surprised, and told him he was correct, that no one else had ever picked up on that. My very favorite room in the house is the store room of all the things Mrs. Winchester purchased and never used. I soooo want to be let loose in there!

I remember the day my DD almost died....

She had been watching a movie from the 30's on TV. It was black & white, of course. After the flick was over, she turned to me and asked, "Daddy, what was it like when you were a kid .... before they invented color?

I was telling my grandaughter one time about how it was growing up. When I told her we did not have TV she replied "but grandma, how did you work your VCR?"

Today is great duck weather. RAIN! RAIN! RAIN! all day! I am really going to be quacking at the end of the day.

QUACK! QUACK! QUACK!

Quack Quack--My kids and grandkids are used to their goofy grandpaw(maw is never bad. lol) I think Kim kept her kids away a kong time because she just did not understand his humor.
the otehr day billy 3 was sharing some of his memories with Malissa of what Paw used to do.

By the same right we have been embarassed by them maybe that is why we go to bed so early when kids are cruising with us. I think some of you have seen their antics. I will say that they think we have found the greatest people in the world on cruise addicts and they ask abt you all regualrly.

Quack Quack today is a work day here. Suitcases are nearly packed.

Had a dream last night that we were all on a land cruise, and when I looked out the window, we were in San Jose at the Winchester Mystery House. I must really need this cruise!

Hey CC, Us non-ducks and non-dits want to make sure the stuff you made is acceptable to these folks. (let's call it quality assurance)

So, how about you bring samples of what you brewed to the Open House this Saturday or Sunday so that us QA people can make sure it's acceptable!

:)
