Quack Quack we are getting closer and closer . Have the hair appt over . Three appointments next week and we will be ready to head to KC and the plane. Think suitcases are going to gather well and we will make it in the 26 inch and a carry on.. Just reading and resting as much as I can. Only problem is my cruise appetite has already set in it is see food and eat it. I am just dreaming o some of Cutie's lemoncello so smoother and tang.. Paw is starting on his countdown list of things to do arund to be gone for 2 weeks, mow find on and off lights etc. This cooking of meat for Billy 3 has turned in to more of a job than he thought but should be done tonight.
Quack Quack looking forward to seeing you in SF Going to have to post more long ways still to my guess,

Hey CC, Us non-ducks and non-dits want to make sure the stuff you made is acceptable to these folks. (let's call it quality assurance)

So, how about you bring samples of what you brewed to the Open House this Saturday or Sunday so that us QA people can make sure it's acceptable!

:)

EXCELLENT suggestion, Charles! :thumb

Yes - I booked Jewell Gardens in Skagway (not many Americans book this, but I loved it), and also the Duck tour in Ketchikan. Then, of course, there's my private highlights tour of Victoria which I hope you and Claire will be joining.

Q!uack Quack I am at my day 11 and getting more excited everyday. Have enough to keep me busy next week. May have to hit the library one time as only have one book left on tble. Have very little to do to finish suitcases and we have have out good with the ones we selectedf9decided to buy if we need anything else or hit the laundry.)

We have no plans for Ketchican but hope to get out and scooter around the area hit some shops etc.
In jueneau we have booked Captain Larry 's 9:00 tour as he could handle the scooters. and hope to be able to scooter around the area also Would love to drop by bar for a few cold ones just have to watch out for SUI. (Scooter under Infulence.) Skagway we hope to b e able to go up town and look around lst trip we found some neat shops up there have done the train twice. and definilty recommend it. Looking forwared to joining the excursion planned by Mary Ann in Victoria. In SF will hit the Giridillas for Hot fudge Sundae and will try for some pier 39 excursion-would kinda like to eat my way from stand to stand(doubt Paw will be that adventurous) mainly just getting together with other addicts in the lobby or a near by bar.

Thank goodness we are almost there. Charging scooter so we can see lots of things and ride. If Jan makes it she will end up on scooter part of time. Good for me to walk more.

Quack Quack todays song in my head is "North to Alaska" think I have it on DVD of that wil get on player today. See you in Duck Pond.

HOWDY! ! ! ! Again! Thought I'd quack in from North Pole. Had a time catching up this morning. I will have to find my list of entrants in the guessing contest and see where everyone is at. I will work on that this weekend.

Maw, I know you were jesting about SUI, but you do need to know that you can get arrested in Alaska for DUI on a scooter. On a horse, bicycle, lawnmower etc. They treat all 'vehicles' the same in Alaska. I knew a guy that was arrested for DUI while OFF the road on a snowmachine. Seemed kind of silly to me at the time.

Anywho . . . .a little over a week to go and we will be winging our way to meet the flock in San Francisco. WOOT! ! ! ! [small]cough . . .cough. . .[/small] I mean QUACK ! ! ! QUACK ! ! ! QUACK! ! !

Good morning, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs, from central Joisey where it's a mostly cloudy 81 degrees. Mal is off today, but since they're calling for bad thunderstorms this afternoon, he drove me in....I'm petrified of lightning.

I keep saying I'm going to get organized, but I haven't even started yet. I have a feeling I'm going to be like my "Sis" and pack the night before we leave....which just happens to be next Saturday...YEAH!!!!!

Because we're flying first/business class (love those affinity credit cards), we're allowed 3 checked bags, each under 70 pounds. Without thinking, we volunteered to take a bag for my Sister and my Niece. When I called the limo service, they said we'd have to have a van with that many pieces of luggage...and the price would be more than $130 more each way. Needless to say, we backed out of taking their luggage with us. We offered to pay for their luggage charges because it would still be way under $130.

Hope everyone has a nice & safe day! :thumb :thumb

San Francisco Fact: Mission Dolores is the oldest building in San Francisco, built in 1791. Two major earthquakes couldn't topple it, but tiny powderpost beetles almost did in 2000, chewing their way to international fame before they were stopped.

How do you spell STRESS? X(

One of my security guards from the casino has been my house sitter for years when we go on cruises. He's extremely trustworthy, my animals know and love him, and Kiefer adores him (and the 3 hour walks every day!). Wednesday he let me know he had been in the ER on Tuesday night with "flu-like symptoms." ::eek: I hope it's not the swine flu and that he recovers quickly... like within 11 days! Just in case, I'm trying to get my "ducks in a row" and find other care lined up. I don't know that I can find someone to stay here, which would be ideal. One of the girls at work is 18, extremely reliable and dependable, smart, and I would totally trust her in my house. But she's 18, and doesn't have that life experience yet (but she does have to learn it somewhere) and will "think about it and let me know on Monday when she sees me." DD said she'll come over every day to take care of the birds and the cat box, but that leaves Kiefer, who can't live in the back yard for the whole 10 days, or in the house the whole time. And he really needs to be around people during that time, he's so used to spending time with She Who Will Remain Nameless who tells him constantly that he's the best doggie in the world. So I just sent a friend an email to see if she could take him, but she just moved and rescued another dog, so I don't know if she could have 3, even for 10 days. Or if she has the room for 3 dogs! sigh...The last thing I want to do is put him in boarding for 10 days. He would do ok, he's very mellow and could handle it, I am the one who would have problems! :(
