Good morning, Duckies and DITs! Sorry so many of you are having "fine weather for ducks". We're in for another sunny day. Thankfully, the prediction for 100* temps has been pushed back another few days.

Good morning fellow duckies....

Wow, it seems a lot of folks are viewing this post, over 6,000 views!!! Sure is a lot of interest in this cruise...

Hey Suer, I've been watching the show on PBS about the Adirondacks. It's such beautiful country, and so many great lodges there! I really enjoyed the history of the area, amazing. I'm not sure if you are anywhere near that area, but I envy you, if you are...

Have to get back to work planting flowers now, today we have sun. Tomorrow starts some rainy days for us....

reggae depending on where in the Adirondaks we are anywhere from 4-7/8 hours away. I have only been there once and that was to work. We ate at a restaurant that had the best French Onion soup and prime rib we ever had. (sorry cruise ships). Cripes I am closer to AC :lol

Come on up for a visit and we will meet you half way.

Howdy to all the DDDs. I've managed to get out from under the ton of work that accumulated while my computer was being replaced. Now all I have to do is figure out how to use this puppy!!!

It's so much faster than the old one. Just wait and see, now they'll expect me to do twice as much work! ::eek:

Woo-hoo for Snowblower!! And I am jealous because I am itching to get back to Alaskaland!! You all have fun!! :)

Judy - congrats on your new puter. Speed is wonderful and yes, they will expect more work. Sorry!! :lol

I am so busy at work right now that I feel like someone has stapled one of my feet to the floor so I just go in circles. :D I really don't feel like I am accomplishing much, it just keeps piling up. ::eek: But I know there is always light at the end of the tunnel, so I will just persevere and get over it. Ha!!

Happy Thursday night DDD's!!!

And thanks MD for my awesome Duck card!! =hug

Good evening Duckies! Just checking in for a quick hello.

Mike, hope you and Deb have a wonderful cruise! Steve and I will toast you from New York this weekend! :)

We have both kids home now and as stated above Steve and I are off to New York this weekend for a couple of days. He
has a conference and I have some shopping and site seeing to do! :D My first time there and boy am I excited! He got tickets to Jersey Boys for me for Mothers Day for our last night in New York. A Broadway show, shopping, museums - ahhhh! I will be on a "Duck Hunt" in NYC.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend a great next week! If Steve brings his laptop, I will try and check in from New
York.

I agree, being Alaska deprived is a horrible thing! We missed last summer, and don't get to go back until the Duck cruise. Jk, enjoy NYC. we certainly did last fall when we did the Canada-New England cruise.

A duck walks into a pub and orders a pint of lager and a ham sandwich. The landlord looks at him and says, "But you're a duck!"
"Your eyes work", replies the duck, wryly.

"And you talk!" exclaims the landlord.

"And your ears", says the duck,
"Now can I have my beer and my sandwich please?".

"Certainly", says the landlord, "sorry about that... it's just we don't get many ducks in this pub. What are you doing round this way?".

"I'm working on the building site across the road", explains the duck.

The landlord watches, astounded, as the duck drinks his beer, eats his sandwich and leaves.

The duck visits regularly for 2 weeks. Then one day the circus comes to town.

The owner of the circus comes into the pub and the landlord says to him,
"You're with the circus aren't you?, I know this duck that would be just brilliant in your circus - he talks, drinks beer and everything!".

"Sounds marvellous", says the owner, "get him to give me a call".

So the next day when the duck comes into the pub the landlord says,
"Hey Mr. Duck, I reckon I can line you up with a top job, paying really good money!".

"Yeah?", says the duck, "Sounds great, where is it?".

"At the circus", says the landlord.

"The circus?", the duck enquires, a bit bemused.

"That's right", replies the landlord.

"What, the place with the big tent?. Big canvas roof, hole in the middle, loads of animals?", asks the duck.

"That's right!", says the landlord.

The duck looks confused. "Why would they want a plasterer"? =quickgetaway

Good morning to all Ducks, Ducklings and DITs from rainly central Joisey. DD and DGD are supposed to be going camping this weekend, but it's liable to be called off is this keeps up. As DD said, sleeping in the rain is one thing, but having to erect the tents is a real mess! :(

Mal, I'm going to hide the laptop from you! :nono :nono

Janice, hope you have a great time in the city. Although Mal can take it or leave it, Colleen, Meghan and I love it. Meghan has been going to Broadway shows since she was 4 or 5!!!

Unfortunately, the weather doesn't look so hot, so you might want to pack an umbrella.

Hope everyone has a nice & safe day! :thumb :thumb

Good morning, Duck Crew!

Janice - hope you and Steve enjoy your trip to my old home town. I actually sometimes miss New York, which I didn't in the past. Have a WONDERFUL time...and leave the duck hunting for somewhere else. ;)

Mal - what can I say? :dizzy But I love your duck picture. :lol

Maw - your DIT training sounds great. Keep up the good work.

Sis - I hope Colleen and Meghan have enough sense to come in out of the rain, even though that sounds like fine weather for ducks.

We actually had a few drops of rain yesterday - first since February.

Have a great day, everyone.
