Quack. Has anyone ever had artichoke mashed potatoes? They were a side option for dinner last night, boy where they good. (sorry cruise ships).

Shuffling off to Buffalo today to finish daughterdo list and for my Aunts Birthday lunch. Ladies only, so Warren is stuck home with his todo list. Might be a tad cold to plant the annuals.

jk-have a great time in NYC.
snowblower-keep Alaska intact for us please.

As far as Mals joke goes, no comment :lol

Have a ducky day everyone.

Good afternoon all-been searching the internet all morning hunting air fare for the Jewel cruise in Feb. Finally pinned it down at a very good price. Paw says we get Boat stuff everyday now(mostly from Princess) Had a great swim yesterday. Paw thinks all the ladies must be duckies they way they waddle. Looking to sun the feathers this afternoon. Quack Quack all and a special one for Suer.

Suer - no, I have never heard of artichoke mashed potatoes. I do put spinach in my mashed potatoes sometimes though, and that is very good. :)

Good morning, Duck Crew,

Looks like a lot of interesting things going on. Now let me get this straight - Suer is going to prepare artichoke mashed potatoes for us??!!?? Sounds yummy.

I'm on coyote alert. One was spotted by my next-door neighbors in their yard this morning. One lunge could kill Pucci, God forbid. :(

We might hit 100o tomorrow. YUCK!

Have a great day, Duckies! <img src=http://www.guy-sports.com/fun_pictures/animations/dog_dakota_take_a_bath_md_clr.gif>

I had Amish mashed potatoes for the first time this week. Linda used real potatoes(of course), sour cream, cream cheese, chives, and butter. She also fixed spaghetti pizza, which is actually a casserole of hamburger a little spaghetti, and spaghetti sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. She had also fixed corn that she had frozen from her garden last year, a fresh spinach salad, green beans with bacon, and angel food cake with fresh strawberries (from her garden) topped by whipped cream from yes, her cows. Having Amish friends is NICE! She and Earnest also have 5 kids, a 5,000 square foot house, more flowers than I have ever seen anywhere else, goats, and a pond with DUCKS! She said the ducks don't belong to her, but come and go as they wish. QUACK!!!!

Good morning, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs! If today's prediction holds up, it would be a fine time for a dip in the pool - only I don't have one. :lol

Sis - have a great time at the christening.

Jacquie - those dishes sound YUMMMMMMMY. Must admit I've never heard of any of them, but they certainly sound tempting. Perhaps some of your neighbor's DUCKS will allow you to adopt them? :grin

Mal - LOVE your cartoon. It's a keeper.

Corky - glad you had a good day yesterday, and I wish you the same for today. Actually, the average date for triple digit temperatures here is May 1st, so we're late this year. BTW, its not yet 9:30am here, and already 89 degrees. :(

Maw - I guess we both can use pools now, but it sounds like you're getting in some nice "dipping" during the week with the girls. I've been doing aquatherapy at PT, so I guess I am in a pool of sorts... Hope you and Paw have a great day. Pucci and I aren't planning any outdoor activities, except to take the little rascal "out" to do his business.

Good day, all DDDs from central Joisey where it's 61 degrees and fixin' to rain any second!

We just got home from the Christening. Our little Garycin Marie was the only baby and she was wide awake.....and very well behaved, too! We'll be heading to the party shortly!

Sis, please keep your high temperatures out there.

Mal, go to your room! :dizzy :dizzy :dizzy

Shipmaven - I had no idea it got so hot so early out there. Right now it is 76 degrees and falling. ::eek:

Corky - we've reached 100 degrees as early as March. Not too often, fortunately. Of course, the joke is always "it's a dry heat". But you really have to experience 100+ degrees with 5% humidity versus 80 degrees and 80% humidity. It IS more bearable. You just learn to moderate your outdoor activities. However...you may have noticed that I gravitate to COOL weather cruising! :grin

I like Cool weather cruising more and more as well. What is funny is that I am thinking about maybe retiring where it is cooler. I just can't take the heat for long periods of time anymore. Sure, to go on a cruise or go to Florida to the beach, is one thing. But to actually live in the heat anymore, I can't do it and I'd just stay inside the house, and what is the point? :)

Corky - for those of us in the West, we feel San Diego has the ideal climate. Usually temperate year 'round. The major drawbacks, as I see them, are the cost of living and the possibility of earthquakes and wildfires (which the locals seem to shrug off).

Good morning Duckies and Happy Monday to everyone. We had a busy weekend. Got lots of planting done and mulching....still got more to do but I feel like we got a lot accomplished.

All this talk about hot weather and swimming makes me wish summer would get here. Yesterday was to cool and damp to sit out on the screen porch. Today is suppose to be sunny and 70 but rain moving in again tomorrow. Guess my new plantings will like it. We lived in the desert in CA (Barstow) and I really enjoyed the time there. It amazed me how it could be in the 90s and when you got out of the pool you were actually cool....it was very strange, LOL. And I actually missed the long rainy cool days when we lived there...the kind that you just want to curl up with a good book and afghan. A bad weather day out there was the windy days...you'd get sand blasted, LOL.

Well, hope everyone had a good weekend and are ready to start a new week! QUACK QUACK
