Glo, our guide a couple weeks ago told us the prego ladies have a nurse-midwife that makes deliveries and high risk pregnancies will relocate a few weeks before delivery to Juneau. Also they had nurse-PAs at the clinics.

Well, I am certainly glad to hear that they have those services. It was so weird to hear that, we were talking about it on the bus and afterwards, how strange it was. Why would she tell us that? To make it excursion seem more memorable? What a ding dong....

A lot of those young people who do those tours come up just for the season from the lower 48 as a fun job....in this case I guess she wasn't really briefed as well as she should have been.

Perhaps Snowblower dropped a few too many blue ducks there when he passed through? :dizzy

Quack-Quack DDD's!!! We are headed out of here in a few hours for our two week vacation in Florida. You all take care, have fun, and I will check in when I can - we'll be home on the 28th. I will try to post a picture every now and then if I can get it all worked out with my work laptop that I am taking. We'll see. I have faith that it works as our It Dept is tops! :lol

Mama Duck - you have my cell phone #, so please call if needed. :)

Happy Quacking everyone!!

Have a great trip, Corky. If still in time, please check your PM's.

And to the rest of the Duck Crew, have a QUACKINGLY great weekend!

Please note that our cable company will be doing major work in our area Monday and/or Tuesday, so I may be without cable service either or both of those two days. :(

Good afternoon, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs, from central Joisey where it's a partly sunny 84 degrees. I thought this was September! ::eek:

Mal is in Stamford, CT for work. He drove up this morning, and will be home this evening.

I've been racking up FF miles all day....my fingers are getting tired of typing! :)

Hope everyone has a nice & safe day! :thumb :thumb

Good evening Quackers! What a day. Awake VERY early, about an hour earlier than I get up for work. Picked up my friend who does animal rescue and we took Kiefer and two of her dogs for a loooooong walk on the bay shore. I asked her how many dogs and cats she's placed over the years, and she said in 30 years she's found forever homes for about 7,000 dogs, cats, goats, pigs, tortoises... you name it, she's found a home for it. And she's one of those unsung angels considering she does it out of her own pocket!

Happy Quackers to all !!!

Just finished the wurk week and am now off 'till next Friday. Well, we are having an emergency exercise this week, but since it's going to occur when I'm off; I'm willing to bet that they won't even call me in (as they are supposed to). Will be doing some paper wurk over the next couple days to finish getting the Emergency Operations Center manuals up-to-date before Thursday. But, at least I can do that while relaxing in the home office.

Only wurking a half week next weekend, as I'm heading back down to Alabama on Sunday. Will be taking a one week class to finish getting my Hazmat Technician certification (you know, the guys in the moon-suits, i.e. - the body bag with a window).

Week after that, we're off to Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Good morning D, D, and D's! ! ! :grin We are back and trying to catch up. Glo, as for Skagway, on our tour they told us they have no "fulltime" doctor. They did leave out status the EMT's and such, but did show us the "state of the art" medical center. It was partly sunny and VERY windy while we were there. Three of the four port of calls had reasonably warm, dry days. Only Juneau was rainy and cool.

Mom wants to sell her property so she can take another cruise or three. I think I created another Cruise Addict. :lol :lol

Have a great day everyone!
