PONANT Wins Two prestigious awards based on stellar consumer reviews
PONANT, the leader in expedition cruising, has been named Best Small Ship Line in the South Pacific by Cruise Critic, ® the world’s premier cruise review site and largest online cruise community with more than 350,000 reviews.
Adding to the excitement, PONANT has also been recognized by Travel + Leisure magazine in its annual World’s Best Awards and is listed among the best for 2018 in two categories: Midsize-Ship Ocean Cruise Lines and Small-Ship Ocean Cruise Lines.
“We are honored to be so highly rated by our passengers who are the critics who count the most. These achievements underscore our commitment to providing the best service possible on ships that represent the most innovative technology with itineraries that fulfil the dreams and expectations of our passengers,” noted Navin Sawhney, Chief Executive Officer, Americas. “We are inspired by this recognition to set the bar higher and higher.”
In addition to these most recent accolades, PONANT was also named the World’s Best Small Cruise Ship as part of the 2018 Conde Nast Traveler Gold List awards.
Cruisers’ Choice Destination Awards
The third annual Cruisers’ Choice Destination Awards recognize the world’s most popular cruise destinations, based entirely on consumer ratings submitted to Cruise Critic. This year, for the first time, the awards also highlight the best cruise lines to visit each region. PONANT, known for its small vessels that can explore where larger ships can’t venture, has been designated Best Small Ship Line in the South Pacific.
The 2018 awards cite cruise lines that stand in 18 regions across the globe, each receiving ratings from travelers who sailed in that region over the past year and then shared their experiences on Cruise Critic.
Adam Coulter, UK Managing Editor, Cruise Critic said “Our data analysis shows that destination continues to be a top consideration for holiday makers looking to cruise, regardless of whether they are new to cruise or seasoned cruise travelers. This year, we’ve also included awards for the best lines that visit these top-rated destinations, to enable holidaymakers to connect quickly to standout experiences available in the incredible places they’re looking to explore.”
