A representative from Royal Caribbean Group verified that the 1,004-foot vessel Celebrity Edge was blown away from the dock during a 'sudden gust of wind.'
'Our Captain skillfully navigated the ship back to the pier where travelers and crew members boarded to continue the planned itinerary,' the representative noted.
The U.S. Coast Guard Sector Southeast Alaska reported that it is probing the event, which transpired as nearly 60 mph winds swept through the region.
