Woo Hoo! Delta has finally opened the books for next July.

Once we decide our exact dates, I'll book them. So far, first/business class seating doesn't seem to be a problem. :boogie:

Audrey - in your search, are you checking Virgin America? I understand from California friends that they have great fares. Another that they use frequently is Alaska Airlines.

Mama Duck, what do you think about the air prices from Holland America? Are they that much better?

Jacquie - so far, no one has requested air so I can't say if HAL's fares are "much better" or not. They're $719.00 + $41.30 air tax per person round trip from your gateway.

The least expensive round-trip I'm finding elsewhere (quick search) between your gateway and Seattle is $490.00 per person round trip plus taxes. Don't know if this is a "puddle-jumper" fare or not.

Most fares I've seen from BOS are ~$500 pp with a connection. Alaska Airlines is ~$650 pp non-stop. Waiting for JetBlue to open bookings for July and will decide from there. Thoughts on Alaska Airlines?

Alaska Airlines is showing $167.50 per person, including taxes, between LAX and SEA.

Judi, having been to Seattle a few times on business, these are my picks: take the Under Ground Tour, eat lunch at the Space Needle, visit Pioneer Square, go to the Seattle Aquarium, take a ferry ride to Bremerton (not Bainbridge), and rent a car and see the sights. A good place to start for info is Seattle Underground Travel .

Since the question of airline fares comes up regularly, my first step when asked by a Client to check fares for them is to go to www.kayak.com . You can specify to include fares from Priceline.com, Travelocity, Expedia, etc., etc. Then enter the airports and other pertinent flight/date information. Don't forget to check airline websites as well.

Gasoline prices are on an upward trend as well, which means there's a good chance air fares may climb as well. Since I can't read a crystal ball for the future, my suggestion - if you find a fare that you can live with, grab it.

Our best deal was on Priceline with American from Tulsa to Seattle, and Continental from Seattle to Tulsa. It was about $100 cheaper using a different airline to come home, and the afternoon American flights involved two stops. We'll be in on the 11th around 10:00 am, so hopefully we'll be able to do a bit of sightseeing that afternoon. QUACK QUACK QUACK

I check out Air Canada. Montreal to Vancouver to Seattle is about $830.00. Sounds reasonable . I will book it after my cruise in Jan.
