Michelle- do you think we get a better price booking in advance or waiting til a few months out from cruise (last minute sort of)? When you book in advance , you can still watch price of your cruise so if it does drop you can request the ta to adjust it to new lower price but if price never drops for your cruise and cat. booked then you are stuck paying what you pay- what do you think is the best way to go?

Tamra, good question! I would think that if you want a balcony cabin then booking in advance may be the way to go since they are a premium for Hawaii like Alaska. I dunno'. I do understand what you are saying about mentioning another cruise before you take the one you have already booked!!! Us women can dream can't we? LOL!!

Yes, Michelle, we can dream all day long about another cruise- when i even begin to mention another one , Brad just shakes his head and says No no no absolutely not going there this soon! I hope we can decide before we go on next cruise as i would want to book while on mariner to get that 100 onboard credit for the next one if we are doing rci in 06! that would buy several foo foo drinks- lol

Hi everyone...

We would be interested in the Hawaii in '06. I have been looking haven't found too much yet, but it sounds like Tamra has some prices. What have you found? What does airfare look like? I would probably bring my mom on this one too.

Yes..the temp has finally gone up here. We are at 75 today!! Yippeee....we actually opened the kiddie pool today.

We have been in major mission trip mode her. Working on the meals and such. Looks like I will be cooking for around 100 again this year.

Michelle how close are you to Blairsville?

Jodi- I have not looked at airfare because we usually have swa tickets to use but don't know if they go to hawaii or not- either way we may only have to pay from lax or somewhere in califormia to hawaii if swa does not fly there- its different from each city anyway as far as price checking goes on airfare- cruise prices - are pretty high on those that i saw- if i remember correctly? 1200 ish for inside rooms per person plus tax and port? may be way off base but is just what comes to mind off top of my head - will double check- but if you want to look - i think we have norwegian 's aloha and norwegians america something as choices for 7 day cruises- check it out jodi and let us know if you find out different- thanks
i would but don't have time right now to do it-

Southwest does not go to Hawaii - yet. However, don't be surprised if that changes in the future. The 737-800 can make that flight.

Southwest code shares with American Trans Air (ATA) and they fly to Hawaii. You can price it out on the Southwest website.

Thanks Cruizer and Ali for you input- helpful info- will look into that
Michelle- from what i can tell, our choices for a 7 day are norwegian pride of aloha and pride of america- did you see anything on those? tried to look but site took so long to upload the info that i had to go and did not get back to it yet
will look again today if i have time
wonder what the best time of year to do hawaii is- may not be an off season for hawaii?

Hi everyone.
Its been awhile since my last post. It sounds like everyone has vacations planned. I really want to go on the cruise in October with Brad and Tamra - is anyone else planning on cruising on the Mariner? Dave wants to go to Vegas in October since its been a few years - but I am hoping to talk him into the cruise. (Keep you fingers crossed for me) We just got back from our vacation in the Outer Banks - the house we rented was beautiful and we were 100 yards from the ocean.

I know I can get Dave to cruise again next year (and hopefully this year) but he will not fly to Hawaii - he doesn't like flying. We will probably cruise the Western Caribbean. Maybe 07 we can cruise with everyone again.

Have a great Sunday.

Hi Cheryl- hope you can talk Dave into this cruise--- it will be awesome- my fingers have been crossed that some of our island hopper group would join us on the Mariner- know that we will cruise again together - had too much fun with you all not to do it again!!!
Hope all is well with everyone- the boards have been slow this weekend- Brad and Taylor are away at a baseball tourney- Brittany wanted to spend the weekend with a girl friend since she is going to Michigan for 10 days and running out of summer to spend time with friends from her old school- i stayed here to feed the animals- good thing too as when i woke up yesterday, 2 of the horses were out nibbling the grass by my bedroom window - no telling where they would be by tonight when we were to get home- yikes---
chat with you all later
tamra
michelle- any posters on your roll call for alaska yet? hope you have some great people to meet up with before the cruise by cruise time- know you will have a great time either way-

Good Sunday afternoon to all. Rainy day here in Atlanta so Stan and I have been LAZY all day!!!!! Cheryl, good to see your post. Hope all is well with ya'll in Michigan. Tamra, not one person has posted to any thread I started for our Alaska cruise. Not even one person. It's kinda' sad. So, if anyone wants, feel free to post a comment on my Princess Roll Call thread......I would be thrilled to see somebody else at least post something!!!! LOL!!!!! Anyway, even if we do not have anyone from any boards to chit chat with......I still know that we are going to have the trip of a life time. We are really starting to get excited with only 2 months to go. Wished we could join you guys on the Mariner but it ain't gonna' happen.....unless we win the lottery soon. If that happens you guys will be the first to know!!!!!!!! Check back in later. Miss ya'll.

Jodi, forgot to mention that Blairsville is about an hour north from us. We would love to ride up on the motorcycle and see you guys when you are there. What dates will you be there? Where are ya'll staying? There is a wonderful lake there called Lake Nottley. LOVE IT!!!! So beautiful. We might even think about brining up the boat instead of riding the bike up. Give me details and maybe we can hook up. Would love to see you and Alfio!!!!! Tamra, I responded to your pm's. Thanks for the info. Well, Stan and I are now under 2 months til Alaksa and still have no one cruising with us!! Can you believe it. Melissa, where are you? How is Eric? Miss everyone............check back later.
