Hey there Cats...

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Like Cris said we are in Homestead, FL visiting Doris' parents for the holiday. We traveled down yesterday and traffic was just terrible, it took us 6 hours to get here! Anyway, ate to much as usual and now we are getting ready to watch the movie Sicko. I have been wanting to see that for a while now.

Barb, we will keep your mom in our prayers. Like Cris said we had to go through that with her mom, we know how hard it is.

CONGRATS BOBBIE!!! So Jim I guess the second cruise is out with a daughter getting married. If you are desperate NCL is running some dirt cheap specials for Jan.-Mar. on 5 night sailings from Miami.

Yes, all cruise lines have followed Carnival's lead...they were the first to implement the fuel surcharge on all their brands and then the luxury lines followed and now Royal and NCL. NCL is slightly higher than all others $7 instead of $5 and they are charging for 4-5th passenger in same cabin $3, crazy! If gas falls below $70 per barrel and stays that way for 30 days they say they are going to eliminate the surcharge. We shall see. I have never seen the cruise lines implement a charge and then take it away.

Cris and I have been busy filling orders before the holiday so it has been a little crazy, very little time to post. But you all are always in our thoughts! We both have a free cruise coming to us from Princess for our Commodore Graduation and the other day they offerd a 21 day south pacific for free! Now the air to get there is about $1000, NOT! But can you imagine they offer us these as our free cruise! Pretty awesome. Doris and I have a few we are holding out for to see if they are offered, we will see.

Well I shall leave you all in your turkey slumber and hope to post again soon. Doris says hi to all.

Chat soon cats :wave

Hi guys - I am safely at my parents after a ton of traffic and rain showers pretty much the whole way down.

Dee - I am in a turkey coma too. My mom made a wonderful turkey, yet she keeps going on and on abou how it wasn't that great. My dad and I thought it was just fine!

We're headed out to shop tomorrow, but we're no going out super early. We were thinking of getting at the mall around 7:30. We don't really see anything in the ads worth getting out super early for!

Ok - I better get back to socializing now. I really just want a nap. Thank you turkey.....

Hi All,
Well the kids spent the day at Hopes and all had dinner. I took my friend that had surgery and his wife to dinner. They were so happy to be out of the house, it was raining when we left, but when we finished dinner the sun was shinning and turned out to be a nice day. We had a really nice dinner.
Ok everyone Bobbie is engaged and I am happy for her... she is old enough to make up her own mind on what to do in life...no matter who she is engaged to Dad will think that he is not good enough for her. I can`t complain he has a good job and works hard. BTW Bobbie has a ring but no date.
O Girls,
Glad you are posting!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you all. It is this time of year we give thanks for all we have. I give thanks for ALL the Big Cats. I think of everyone as my extended family.
As for black friday I will be sleeping.

Hi Cats - Jim, you stayed home on Black Friday? That's no fun.

We were at JCP a little after 8, then shopped the mall before dining at the Cheesecake Factory. After that we shopped some more. Tomorrow we are headed out again and then on Sunday we are going to the Casino. Monday I head home, and oh yeah, pass the outlet malls. Greg seems to be surviving at home without me.

Hope everyone is doing well....Sheree

Hi Cats!!! Cris and Julie here posting Live from Cris-Dee's!!! lol

Julie is hanging with me at the store today as Dee has the day off coming home from homestead.

I think Julie and I have you all beat for shopping on Black Friday, of course i see that George has not posted yet but we shall see.

Julie and I went to her mom's in Port St. Lucie with my friend Deb and my sister, her whole family was there and we had a fabulous dinner and lots of fun with the nieces and nephew. We got home about 9:00 pm on Thursday night and went to bed around midnight. We got up at 4:00 am and was at WALMART at 4:15 am, yes you heard it right 4:15 am at WALMART. They were selling a 32" Poloroid LCD HDTV for $448.00 and a Sony Cybershot Digital Camera for $79.99. I had ventured to KMArt on Thanksgiving day for the TV they were selling which was a 32" for $419.00 but when I got there 5 minutes after the doors opened at 7:00 am they had no more, the lady in front of me said they only had two. I tell you this because we did not really expect to be able to get the TV and Camera at Walmart but were hoping to. We got in the store and there was a long line of people surrounding the TV's that were on a pallet shrink wrapped in the middle of the isle, Julie made her way into the crowd and found a spot just next to the pallet and made friends with a group that had been there since 2:00am. Walmart was going to cut the shrink wrap at exactly 5am. Julie stayed there hoping to get the TV when they did the cut and I went to electronics and found another isle where the camera's were. I made friends with 3 girls in front of the pallet who had made a cut themselves so when 5 am rolled around they were guaranteed to get it. Well, at 5am exactly the shrink wrap was cut and the girl in front of me handed me my camera and I desperatly tried to make my way through the enormous crowd that had gathered, as I was making my way toward where Julie was, I saw her battered and bruised with a giant smile and TV in her cart!!!!!!!! We got everything we wanted with no black eyes!!! lolololololo

It truly was bedlam when we made are way to one another and looked around at the nuts in the store garbbing eveything in sight.

The only thing we did not leave with which seems to have been quite a hot commodity was a Turkey. Since we had dinner at her moms we had no leftover turkey so i decided I would make one. So we went to the grocery side and there was no turkey in sight. We left the store at 5:30 and made our way to Sams figuring we could get a turkey there since they were opening at 5am, again much to our digust NO TURKEY!!! If I had known it was so hard to get a turkey the day after thanksgiving I would have set up a truck along side the road loaded with turkey's!! histercal.

Well thats our story of black friday, I look forward to seeing if George and Anne ventured out.

Have a fabulous weekend, we will check back next week.

Hi Cats,
We had a wonderful, intimate Thanksgiving feast. We had too much food left over. Greg will be eating leftovers for a while. Goody, no cooking for me!

The doctor ordered a hospital bed for Mother. We are trying to tile her room before it arrives. I am hoping not having carpet in her room will help her breathe better. All the common areas in the house are tiled.

On Black Friday, Mom and I went to Kohls around 8:00 and bought some presents for the children. We shopped most of the day. (I pushed Mom around in the wheelchair). The best prices we found were at Kohls.

Cris and Julie,
Congratulations on the bargains!

Jim,
That was very nice of you to take your friends out to dinner. You are such a great guy!

Regina,
We're waiting for your shopping report.

Sheree,
Are you almost finished shopping? Never! LoL

Hi guys - just a quick hello from my house now - I am finally home! The drive home was rough. There was a lot of fog. I wasn't expecting that. I knew it was going to rain but I had no idea that I'd run into fog in every city I passed through. You couldn't even see the tall buildings in Columbus, though I was keeping my eyes on the road anyway. So, it's good to be home and I've got some laundry started.

I had a nice visit with my parents. I didn't win anything at the casino yesterday. I've got a little bit of my shopping done (sorry to let you down, Barb!) and I've got so much more to do! I'm usually almost done by now.

Tell Julie how proud I am of her! Now that's shopping! I am afraid George might've been trampled on Black Friday....I can't believe we haven't heard from him. GEORGE??

And Tommy, how about those Browns? Regina, did you go out and brave the shopping crowds?

Cris and Dee - glad you are able to post again. I know you must be busy little elves getting those bags out for the holidays, but be sure to check in once in a while! I am very happy that it sounds like the holiday business is booming for you. I can't wait to use my Christmas flamingo bag!

Ok - hi everyone else - Jim, Randy, Marg, and Dan...hope all is well!

Hi guys - since no one is posting, I'm going to guess that everyone is busy with the holidays? I know that we've got a bunch of stuff going in December so I know we are going to get busier too. I don't even know when I am going to get my baking done, and my brother in Florida is going to go nuts if I don't get them done in time to ship to him.

Oh well, off to my last day of work this week. :)o

Hey guys, where the heck is george, do you think he is burried under a pile of boxes from anne's shopping spree...lol

Sheree, we are having a cookie baking at my house next weekend. I am making lots and lots of sugar cookies for decorating and I am making 4 other kinds as well. Everyone is bringing cookie dough so there will be no shortage of cookies, I am thinking I should have an oxygen tank on hand for the diabetic seizure we are going to have...lo.ololo

Jim, are you driving a vw bug now? I am very confused between the jeep and vw talk. help me please!!!!

Julie and I are celebrating our 11th anniversary tomorrow, it seems hard to believe 11 years has passed, I still don't believe I will have lived 42 years soon....But Julie has a surprise for me, we are going somewhere Tuesday night, i think it's a play, I am very excited, I will let you know Wednesday.

Well thats about it folks, getting ready to eat lunch. Have a fabulous weekend...

Cris,
I will see if I can explain this to you. Bubba is driving the jeep until he gets his truck fixed. The jeep is all fixed and driving well. I bought a VW BUS not a bug and I am fixing it up. I have it almost sanded down and most of it is primered. I am going to paint it and drive it for now. Than I an thinking of selling it...but I know that I will love driving it and won`t want to sell it :)
I hope yall are doing good
