Ho Ho Ho everyone!!!!

Sheree, We had our cookie decorating and exchange party yesterday. I had made chocolate coconut chip, reg choclate chip, peanut butter w/hershey kiss, spice and wedding cookie for my exchange. Then I made 200 sugar cut out cookies so everyone could decorate them. We had so much fun. Everyone brought their own creation of cookie dough which we baked here and we had lots of decorating stuff and icing colors and everyone got so creative. I made a snowman that looked like he belonged in a halloweeen horror show..lol But at the end, i gave everyone boxes and they all left with a box of all of our creations. I am exhausted today as i have been baking all week and of course i made a few savory snacks. I made two cheese balls that were a huge hit. I made one that is just cream cheese, pineappe and onion. I know it sounds bad and everyone was like I don't think thats going to be good but after one bite, the whole ball gone. If you want the recipe let me know. I also made Paula Deen's cheese ball she made on Oprah and it was delicious.

I still have some shopping to do for xmas for Julie's family but after that I am done.

Jim, Good thing you like working on cars, seems to be alot of work there....lol

Regina, Publix is great for baked goods, my sister can attest to that....she is not from the cookers or bakers!!!!! lol

Everyone else, have a fab day!!!!!!

Cris - please share the Paula Dean cheeseball recipe. I've heard people mention that but I don't know what it is. Sounds like you are all set for cookies. I know that Greg is working on my cookie supply, so hopefully they will still be around when Christmas rolls around!

Hope everything else is good with everyone! :) Sheree

Hi All,
Sheree,
I posted another pic so everyone won`t get mixed up...the bus on the far left is bobbies (blue and gold) Steves bus is the yellow and primer colored bus and my bus is the red and white bus (not red and white anymore it is all sanded and primed for paint). I orderd all new rubber seals for the windows and doors when I get ready to paint all the windows come out.
I hope everyone is doing well :)

Hi everyone,

Sheree, here is the cheese ball recipe from Paula Deen. I did not make the bacon myself i bought real bacon bits and it worked great.

INGREDIENTS
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup milk
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup (1 ounce) blue cheese, crumbled
1/4 cup finely minced green onions (white part only)
1 jar diced pimento, drained
3/4 cup pecans, divided (Of course, any nut will do!)
10 slices of bacon, cooked, drained, finely crumbled and divided
Salt and pepper
1/4 cup minced parsley
1 Tbsp. poppy seeds

Place cream cheese in mixer bowl. Attach bowl and flat beater to mixer. Turn to Speed Two and mix 1 minute. Stop and scrape bowl. Turn to Speed Two and gradually add milk, mixing until well blended about 1 minute. Stop and scrape bowl. Add cheeses, onions, pimientos, half of the bacon and half the pecans. Turn to Speed 4 and beat until well blended, about another minute. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer mixture to a large piece of plastic wrap. Form into a ball and wrap tightly.

Repeat with the remaining mixture. Refrigerate (or freeze) at least 2 hours.

Combine the remaining bacon and remaining pecans, parsley and poppy seeds in a pie plate. Then, remove the plastic wrap and roll the cheese ball lightly in the bacon/nut mixture until evenly coated. Wrap it back up in plastic wrap and refrigerate again until ready to use.

Enjoy!!!!!

Oh - yummy! (Any men checking this thread will think "oh no, now they're exchanging recipes!" Well, post and I am sure we won't have to do that!) Thanks Cris.

Hope everyone else is doing well and preparing for Christmas.

Good evening all,

Crazy thing happened this evening. A family we met on the Carnival Pride called us this evening and wanted to know if we had any plans on cruisingout of LA this year. We told them we had booked th Vision of the Seas the last week in May. It looks like they may be coming along. Arrielle and her friend Stephanie were inseperable the entire cruise. The good thing about tat is Arrielle will not be hanging on us the entire cruise. Peace...quiet...what a novel concept!

It's snowing! And better yet, I am totally done with my shopping. I am headed upstairs to finish wrapping in just a few minutes.

Go Browns!

Good morning all,

Anne just went out to finish her remaining shopping and Arrielle and I are spending quality time together....aaarrrrgggghhhhh! She doesn't like football either. Hopefully Anne will have a heart and come back to get her :)

Weather has been on the coll side here as well, currently low 50's. All the ski resorts are open already (very early for here)...so much for global warming ;)

Snowing again here....think of me when you see the snow in the clips from the Browns/Bills game! I am supposed to be going to my niece's baby shower but I am hoping that my sister in law calls soon and cancels it because of the weather. Greg's mom doesn't need to be out in the slippery weather, and either does my niece...and I'd rather curl up on the sofa and watch the football game with my hubby.

Is everyone doinng okay down there in Florida? I saw the severe weather on the news this morning. Is everyone far enough away from where the tornadoes touched down? I didn't recognize the county name during the news report so I hope it's a bit away from you all and my brother, too.

Merry Christmas Cats,
Hope you have a blessed Christmas. Sorry I haven't taken time to write. We finally finished Mom's room. It was hard work, but well worth the time to remove the furniture, remove the carpet, and have tile installed. Mother is not coughing at night now. The doctor ordered a hospital bed. Not really sure which is helping the most, but we do try to make her as comfortable as possible.

We completed our Christmas shopping today. I am surprised about not having much holiday traffic here.

I asked my sister to have Christmas this year. I haven't had the time, or have I felt like doing the work for it. Greg is worried she won't have the food cooked on time. LoL

God bless you all.

Merry Christmas Big Cats!

Barb - good to see your post. I am glad that your mom is doing better with the tile floors and re-vamped room. I am sure it makes you feel so much better to be able to make her more comfortable.

We had a nice "Christmas" with Greg's family yesterday. As usual, his parents spent way to much money on us. I am loaded up with gift cards and the real Christmas hasn't hit yet! My mom and dad got in yesterday afternoon. We are having a nice Christmas Eve dinner tonight, then opening presents before Greg has to leave for the firestation at 7:30. I was feeling sorry for him having to work 36 hours straight at the holiday, but then he told me about the prime rib dinner they have planned at the station tomorrow and suddenly I didn't feel as bad for him!

Well, I'll check in later, but just in case, I don't get a chance, I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and let you know that you all mean a lot to Greg and me. We wish you nothing but the best of blessings this Christmas, and know that you have friends in the cold, soon to be snow covered Cleveland-area who are thinking of you and are being slightly jealous of your more moderate temperatures, even though I know you may want our snow for just one day! (We're supposed to get just enough snow to cover the ground - nothing much though!)
