Just did a quick check-in before heading out the door, and this was, of course, not the news I was hoping to hear. My thoughts and prayers continue for a quick recovery, and I hope the pain subsides soon. HUGS!!!

Mary Ann, I am so sorry to read that you had problems this time and that it did not go as well as the first eye. Look at it this way......at least it didn't happen with the FIRST one ;) ..... sorry, just trying to find a bright spot here. I know a drug reaction can be terribly frightening....having been there. I hope that the pain in your eye subsides quickly and that you get great vision results. HUGS!

Good morning, Friends. Just returned from my post-op examination - 20-20 vision in the eye operated on yesterday.

The problem yesterday wasn't with the surgery - it was with the anesthesia cocktail pre-op that caused a severely adverse reaction. The Anesthesiologist reversed it, thank goodness. I didn't feel well at all yesterday afterwards - achy eye, headache, nauseous feeling, but all seems well today. I'm not supposed to work until tomorrow - hopefully, no one will :hammer: me for the extra day.

I now must get accustomed to not wearing glasses...and feeling like a raccoon until I find just the right make up to hide those dark circles!

:thankyou::thankyou: for all your concern.

I should have added that the eye pain, headache and nausea subsided after I fell asleep on the recliner yesterday afternoon. Pucci lay motionless on my lap while I slept, but only after he positioned my one hand to his satisfaction as a pillow under his chin - bless his little heart.

Hooray for Pucci! That's it. Make sure you are confy, and then relax.

I'm glad you are better today. How's the blurred vision in the eye that was done last week?

Mary Ann, I have a cat that does that with my hand, while I'm sleeping in my bed. I'll suddenly wake up, and his little head is nestled in the palm of the hand I'm wanting to move! No rolling over for me.

I'm glad you are feeling better, and that the effects of the anesthesia they gave you is gone. NOT a fun feeling.

When my mom died, I went to the small town she lived in for the duties related, and services. When I left the church, I was crying, and missed my step off the 18" curbs (for flooding) and hit the road face down. Two black eyes and a few stitches. I did the ice/heat treatment for a few days, then went to work with lots of concealing makeup on my face. I got lots of compliments on my new eye makeup! LOL!

I'm so glad that you are feeling better and that they surgery itself was a great success. As I said before, I know how bad a drug reaction can feel, so I'm glad they handled that quickly. Having to reverse it probably cause some of the extra pain issues and overall yucky feeling.

Glad all is well now!!!! Boots #7 makes a wonderful eye treatment.....fades, moisturizes. AND it's not an arm and a leg.........sold at Target. It's a British product and has beat all of the $$$$$$ that I have tried from my dermatologist!!!

Hugs to Pucci for taking such good care of you.

Again, thank you. I've stayed away from the computer as much as possible today, but my eyes do feel strained by the end of the day.

Glo - OUCH. That fall had to have hurt. I'd prefer a less drastic way to find suitable makeup. Mgram - I like your suggestion. I'm very familiar with Boots - a most respected name in the U.K. I'll check out my local Target in a week or so.

Charles - Pucci's comfort always comes first in this home! :boogie:

Joanne and Mark - thank you so much. Have a great trip!

Glad to hear that things are better. Nice Pucci for taking good care of you.
I know that feeling I have a cat that thinks she needs to sleep on me, makes it hard to move because I don't want to disturb her.

Glad to hear the eyes are doing well. For makeup with great covereage I find Bare Escentials to be awesome. Stop in a store sometime and have them work their brush on you, amazing at what that make up can hide. I seen them make over a girl with some severe skin problems one day in the store. They did half of her face and it was fabulous at what that make up hid.

For big gun hiding Derma Blend works very well. My daughter has a skin discoloration on her legs. She was very self concious of it in her junior high days and that is what she would use.
