I've been busy all day getting ready for our trip.....tomorrow we have to pack and take the Cat to jail.....Bunch of other stuff to do also.

Still no call from C&A. Less than a week before we board SR.

Angelia is now the only one in the family that does not have an Amateur Radio License.....Patti, Nancy and Angeline passed their test yesterday. Not sure it's a good idea.....before, us guys had the airwaves to ourselves when going on road trips

Good morning from cloudy and cool New England. I think the Florida belles have sent their rainy weather up to us. Haven't had a warm day since last Sunday (and that wasn't warm enough for the pool). Grass is green and HIGH with all the rain.

Had a pretty quiet weekend except for Friday. We decided to sneak out of town before anyone needed a babysitter, so we visited the Indians and came home with some of their money (or maybe just got back some of ours left with them on previous trips). Whatever, we had a great time.

Bill is leaving for his annual fishing trip on Thursday at 9 a.m. and I'll finally get some ME time.
Can't wait. Was supposed to do some babysitting for the DIL, but she took time off from work. No wonder I love that girl!

Got a note from Marcia about Carl....sending prayers that way and hoping that all will be well soon.

Tony, have a wonderful trip. I think you should call C & A and order either the tote bag or the beach towel. Those are the best amenities they have, and Nancy can use the tote bag for SHOPPING! Seriously, they make good gifts for people, especially the pool towel. Nice and fluffy. We give them to the kids for their pools and they love them. Never can have enough pool towels (especially when the neighborhood kids never bring their own).

Off to the office in a bit, then tonight we have a trade show on Mexican resorts. Maybe we can win a prizeP)

BB, I have a higher license than Nancy, so I outrank her when it comes to radios. The rules specifically say that I am the boss when it comes to radios.....and most other things.

I'll probably call C&A later in the week if I think about it, Rita. The towel and tote seems like a good choice.......I got her the tote last September.

Hi Rita. Glad you stopped by. Nice that the Indians knew it was payback time. Don't blame us for your wet cool weather. We're still getting our share down this way. Well the wet part anyway. It's plenty hot here in Florida. You just need to make another trip this way to warm up. I got the email from Marcia too and am sending lots of prayers and good thoughts up Ohio way.

Decided to wait until today to go to Best Buy. We didn't feel like dealing with the typical weekend crowds there.

Hi gang.................back from the big city.................went to the TSA place for the Twic card........had the pleasure of paying $105 to have them do a background check and then we have to go back to pick it up in a few weeks(2-8).....guess they dont want to take the chance of it being in the mail and getting in the wrong hands.....

Stopped by Busch Gardens to say hi to Lauren.........we didnt stay very long...........it was soooooooooooooooo hot...........

I feel so bad for Carl having to go thru all that............hes sucha sweetheart.............Im glad Marcia is keeping us informed.........

Yeah I'll have things to complain about. Diamond Plus stuff for one. I've never complained about food in the dining room, but if it's deteriorated like I'm hearing.....they're gonna get an earfull on that too. In the past, I have always protected the waiters scores......this time I'll write a really nice letter to the Hotel Manager on him/her....then fill out the survey accurately.

Basically, I'm just in a whiney, grumpy mood and I feel like bitchin'.

You're not getting ready to go into "Royal Champion" mode on me, are you?

PH - Glad you had a good trip to Tampa. I gotta ask - What the heck is a Twic card???? Never heard of that before.
Yes, we got the $100. off the TV. No cash though ... The TV was purchased on the BB credit card, so the $100. was credited back to the card. We were in and out of the store in 5 minutes! Perfect example of why we waited until today to go.
You're right - There isn't a heck of a lot on TV tonight. I must still have one or two Law & Order shows that we haven't watched yet. Time to go check.

Well, we're back from the trade show and I didn't win, BUT BILL did! 3 nights at an all inclusive Riu palace (we have our choice of Jamaica, Mexico, Punta Cana and another one, but I think we'll do the Mexican Riviera one) transfers from the airport to the hotel and back, and a tour for two of Chichen Itza. We've been to Tulum, but not to Chichen Itza, so that's good. We have a year to use it. We'll probably tack on a three or four night stay at our expense, because it's a long way to go for just 3 nights. Maybe one of us will win another 3 night stay at the next trade show, and we can combine the two....that's what we did the last time and it worked out well.

Prices are very good right now for Mexico. 31 days of no swine flu cases, so the outbreak is officially over there. Some of the resorts are offering rooms (all inclusive) for 30-40 per night per person.....you can't afford to stay home for those prices!

I'll have to get in the do nothing mode before we go.......no casinos in Mexico, but most of the resorts have a show every night or entertainment of some kind.

Glad you got your money back, BB. Every little bit helps, and $100 is more than a little bit.

PH, Bill and I have gone to the Tampa Hard Rock about 4 times, and we've had a good time every time. I wish we had signed up for the cards the first visit, but we didn't. At least we would have had some credits by the 4th visit. We've never found it too crowded....there was always a lot of slot machines free.

Tony, just call C & A and pick the da** amenity. Don't let them keep it. It's the principle now!
I took care of the things Nancy ordered. You should be all set.

A TWIC(Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card is so Dennis can get into the ports for pickups/deliveries......(sorry thought I had explained it).......he has to go thru the background check first......its all handled by the TSA..........

Congrats to Bill, Rita...........you guys are so lucky...........have to get airfare on your own???

I do believe you have to order the amenity at least a few days before....that would make sense............I think you just dont want to get one,so you can complain to someone later on,you didnt get anything............(OH,I missed the RC remark..........but no,not going into that mode,thank you very much!!)

Think I'll go watch TV in bed........nite all...........

Rita - Congratulations to Bill on the win. You are both so lucky. The luck of the Irish really stays with you both. Look at poor San - He can't even win a call from C&A!!!

PH - Can you believe this heat and humidity already this morning? I walked outside and it just hit me in the face.
Got an email from the wine place in that mall. They have 3 new wines with a 15% discount on each. One is a honey wine (mead), another is tangelo and I forget what the third is.

Think I'll do a number on the guest bedroom today. We have friends from Dunnellon coming down to stay overnight next week sometime, so I want to make sure the room is all bright & shiny for them. When no one is here, we just keep that door closed, so it can't be too bad.

Other than that, nothing happening around here today.
