Now with no men around for the week, we can exchange recipes, discuss the latest fashions, review summer TV shows and turn this into a real GIRLIE thread!!!:)D

Yep, you can have my amenity, PH. BB, I honestly don't care about the amenity........it was jsut something to bitch about.....kinda like you and the Grill and PH about the heat:D

We haven't left yet.....everyone except Matthew, Patti and Joseph are ready to go. Matthew is on his way over from Watsonville. We were supposed to leave here at 8:30......Matthew won't be here until 9:30.

Love the idea of GIRLIE colors, PH! Once we're sure San has hit the road, I have a great easy recipe for you for raspberry sherbet with a Kahlua chocolate sauce. Plus it's low fat!!!;)

Sorry I couldn't stop and chat earlier, but I was crazy busy today. Just checked to see how was around $400 for non stop on Jet Blue. Prices were even less if you wanted connecting flights. We'll have to see.

Have to leave soon to play cribbage in our summer league. Most of the past years we've come in in first place, but this year we are just doing terrible......must be the cards, couldn't be the players:D

Our weather turned nice today, still cool but sunny. Tomorrow is supposed to be the same, and then after that, another stretch of cool, rainy weather. I feel bad because Bill will be in New Hampshire (on Golden Pond) and if the weather is good he'll have a better time. They fish in whatever weather, but it's much more fun in the sun!

Have to make final payment next week for our transatlantic, but we've gotten very good military discounts recently, so it won't be too bad.

Well, I don't have any recipes to share, but I'm hoping the font is pink. We'll see!

Not a bad deal on the airfare...................saw Bookit has $69 hotel deals good till midnight...wish I could take advantage...........

Grilled steak for dinner..............sauteed 'shrooms and onions..........and had a sweet potato..............cooked too much so that will be my dinner tomorrow too.....

Well, I hear the angels bowling so I better go................

We got that awful storm last night too. It rained so hard, you couldn't even see our dock!::eek: We got at least 4 inches of rain within about an hour. Add to that all the lightening and thunder. It made for a really nasty evening. It rained here until after 11. Bet we'll end up with the same again today. That's the one downside of living in Florida, isn't it, PH?

Got a meeting to go to tonight. Other than that, it should be a relatively quiet day around here.[/size]

Home from the gym................with all this effort,I wish I would see more results.............its so depressing at times.............oh well.......

Need to get to Publix later...............no laying out by the pool today....I went tanning and I need to cool down..............

Just sending Bert off to Albertson's. They have a coupon for buy 1 get 1 london broil! What a deal!!!!

Thats what i like about Winn Dixe......not only have they cleaned up their act big time around here,but they have BOGO deals all the time,inc meats..............

Went outside a bit to spray the weeds...............thought I would pass out from the heat................btw-anymore thought on the FR??

Ok, went to Publix..........came home.........washed the fruit and veggies.........ate dinner(got 1/4 rotissiere chix) then made a salad with leftover chicken and steak on it for Dennis.................even made him Jello.............

Had our afternoon storm(mini hurricane ) roll thru here about 30 mins ago......................now I bet its REALLY humid out.................oh well, this heat beats living anywhere up north in the winter.................

Good morning! Another hot one headed our way. Gal said on the news last night that the heat index will be around 105!::eek: Should be able to cook an egg on the sidewalk with that kind of heat!

Went to our Neighborhood Watch meeting last night. It was a discussion on DUI. Deputy brought goggles that simulate various stages of intoxication. He had some volunteers walk a straight line wearing the different pairs. It was too funny whatching people stumble all over. It really was a fun meeting for a change.

Not much going on today except the same old same old - laundry, cooking and cleaning up. Hoping to go to the Grill for happy hour, if the weather cooperates.

Sorry.............we went out this morning.....came home around 1.no sooner walked in and we had a power outage...............power just came back on..........I got real bored......read,slept and that was about it..........had a wicked storm pass thru..............

So did you volunteer to do that last night?????? That must had been very interesting........

Got a new phone.......nothing fancy...dont need to check my emails, get GPS,the weather,etc...........I just need it to talk,text and take pics.................We have Alltel which is being taken over by Verizon.............told me if I wanted a Verizon phone(tons of choices),we would have to change all our phones to Verizon phones and start our 2 yr contract over again...........didnt want to do that since one phone is just a month to month thing(its the phone Dennis uses to access the internet for his computer while in the truck........so I had about 5 Alltel phones to pick from...........got one that was just like my old one,only newer......I downloaded the ring tone....Bob Marley's One Love........

Sounds like you had a busy day up your way.

We had a "severe" storm come through. Really wasn't a biggy with only 2 loud claps of thunder. That was around 3:30. It's still raining. Bummer, as that was the end of going to happy hour. Sooo had to break out a glass of wine and have happy hour for one!;)
We just finished dinner. I made goulosh (not sure that's how you spell it) with noodles and honey carrots. I know we ate too much, but in about an hour, I might have to send Bert out for custard. This is so bad having the place right outside our gate!!! LOL

Time to see if there's anything on TV tonight. I'm giving that NBC show the Listener at 10 a try. It looks interesting.

Good morning! Beautiful morning outside. It's not too hot yet and the humidity isn't too bad. This is nice for a change.

Bert's off to get his hearing aids fixed. This is going to be fun! He probably won't have them for at least a week. I'm going to have to yell at him in order to be heard. Plus the TV will be blasting. Ugh! I need to see if we have any ear plugs around here!!:cool::lol

Dinner was so good last night and the best part is that there are leftovers!

So what are you up to today, PH? Dennis working this weekend?
