My turn to check in. Had a fun day with ALL the crew here. Good thing I made enough salads yesterday. After everyone left we headed over to the Grill. A friend offered to buy Bert a beer in honor of the day. Only problem was that I paid for our pitcher of beer and they paid for theirs. What's wrong with that picture?

Sounds like you both had a nice day. So what's the problem with taking Fluffy shopping with you, PH? Not sure which is worse - shopping with Fluffy or no hablo ingles! Both are very annoying!

Time to figure out what I'm watching on TV tonight. Deadliest Catch is on, so I guess I'll help them catch some crabs. Other than that, I have no idea what I'm going to do.

Ok, tell me you used to take Shamrock to department stores with you????????? I dont think dogs need to be going shopping......not like they need any clothes....hahah

Take Shamrock to a department store? Do you thing I live in the Villages or Solivita? We leave our animals at home where they belong. Wouldn't want to confuse the little darlings. But then again, O'town now has a lot of restaurants where you can bring your dog. Thanks, but no thanks!

The worst of the beer buying is that I had to pay for ours. Bert left and came home. He stuck me with the bill and over half a pitcher of beer. I finally quit and left enough for at least 3 more glasses. Just too hot to drink that much beer.

It's still 90 out there. Wonder if I can convince Bert to get us an Italian ice at Rita's.

Checking in for the last time this evening. Had a wonderful dinner at Cameron's on the Green, a restuarant at a local golf course. Both kids, their spouses, kids and Jamie's dad came along with us, and everyone was happy with their food and desserts. Baby was good, once she got a piece of bread to chew on! She's getting to the stage where she doesn't want to sit still, so sitting in the high chair can be problematic.

Bill got gift certificates from the kids, so he's happy.

I was looking for a small laptop, but the smallest one that is a MAC was $1500. We don't need another laptop that badly! I was also looking at the Blackberry's, but the cost for each phone on a monthly basis was another $30 per phone over our current bill..........I could justify it as a business expense, but it's still a lot of money. Besides, we'd have to change our cell phone plan to another more expensive plan, so I guess that's out.....he got sugar free chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries from me instead of more expensive toys......I think I got the best of that deal! When they have everything, what do you buy them?

Pat, I got your e-mail.......what can I say? Some folks just don't GET IT!!!!!

Last check in for me for the evening. Sounds like Bill got treated real well this Father's Day. What did Bert get from his kids? Not a d*mn thing beyond a card! I am so pi$$ed at them all. For all he does and has done for him, not a one of them gave him anything . I just don't get it.

He loves certain kinds of candy, so I gave him Skittles, Good & Plenty, Ike & Mike, Gummy Worms and a few others. When he saw it, he told me that was the last thing he needed. I reminded him that he gave me chocolates for Mother's Day, so it was turn around fair play. Best part is that he's already eaten some of it! LOL

Time to call it a night. See ya tomorrow

Good morning, ladies! I hope your day is off to a good start.

Bert's out already to find out why the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light is on. He got the oil changed recently at Wally World and I bet they didn't reset the oil thingie. I hope that's all there is to it, as I really don't want to spend any more money on this car.

Yippy! I don't have to cook today. We still have salads and chicken left from yesterday. With all the girls on diets, they didn't eat nearly as much as I thought they would.

Boy, it's hot already ... 85 and barely 9 o'clock! I see another scorcher of a day.

That was fun. They did meet up with Nav. and Monty......

Good morning ladies,

Another wet and windy day here in NE. Supposed to stay like this until at least Wednesday.

Have to head for the office soon. At least working isn't so bad when the weather is yucky like this. I hate it on sunny days.......I'd rather be outside.

BB, lucky you have so many leftovers. I brought half of last night's dinner home, so that will be my lunch, but will have to cook tonight. Of course, after not cooking since Wednesday, I really have no complaints (but I just like to whine....I like to wine even more!).

Can't believe we beat PH on here this morning. Are you still sleeping?

nope,not sleeping.even though I did sleep till 9...............fixed some tea and got sidetracked watching Army Wives cuz I slept thru it last night.........

No leftover food for me...........darn it all............

Hope the car checks out ok,BB.but tell me why do you bring a CADDY to WallyWorld?? Its just not fitting for such a luxurious car.......hahaha

Sorry about your yucky weather,Rita.,,,,,,,,,I just couldnt believe the horiible weather at the US Open .............talk about rain!! Holy cow!

Ok,sun is down and its cooling off..yea,right........

Went to the gym around noon........stopped on the way home and got steamed dumplings for lunch............very yummy....

Then I had zippo energy the rest of the day...........I took a 2 hour nap(and forced myself to get up---after all I slept till 9 this morning).............checked my bp and it was 96 over 62............kinda low for me................I THINK between my bp meds and now Im exercising,its going down.......guess I could check with the doc..........but hate to spend the $$$.............but my energy level has been down for about a week now................

Waiting on dennis to get home around 9................he heads back out tomorrow around 2pm.....

Good morning! I've been awake since 5:30 due to the wonderful (?) t'storms that came to visit. Sure is unusual for us to have weather like that during the night. The storms were about 12 hours early! At least the storms ushered in a bit cooler weather. After all, it's only going to be low 90s today!!!

Got a semi busy day ahead getting ready for company tomorrow. Not sure what I'll feed them for lunch, but I'm sure I'll think of something VERY EASY. Not into a big cooking deal, so I figure appetizers will be the order of the day.

Sorry to hear your butt's dragging, PH. The weather that past week can do that too. Who can possibly have any energy when it's 100 outside like it was today? Have fun with Dennis today.

Hi all.........

Been out since 8am............we went to the gym..came home,changed then headed back out..................had to make a return at Belks...................lunch at Outback..........Wally World..............dropped Dennis off at the truck................went to the library then got a mani/pedi.........................Home now and tis BLACK out there...................Dennis just called and said it looks horrible south of him(which would be the Orlando area)...........if only it would cool things off..............

Is your company for just the day or a few days??? Appetizers sound perfect...........

Hey Rita..................hows it going up north?? Sat next to a lady at the nail place and she's flying up there on Sat to see her granddaughter get married..........gonna be at the Plaza she said...........she asked me if I knew anything about Boston and I said,yes,its the capital of MASS!! hahahah............Plus I had been to the USS Constitution............

Quick good morning from me. I still have a few things to get done before our company arrives around noon. They're staying overnight and will go home tomorrow. After all, Dunnellon is sooo far away!:cool: PH will know what I mean!

I think maybe we'll go have dinner at Crabby Bill's. Remember that place, Rita? Now I just have to hope the rains don't move in again at dinner time. Nothing more miserable than being by the water in the rain!

Have a fun day gals, and I probably won't be back until after company leaves tomorrow. See ya ...

Good morning ladies,

Checking in from still damp and drizzly Massachusetts. Weather was supposed to be sunny and warm starting tomorrow, but the weathermen are hedging and saying maybe nice by the weekend, but maybe even scattered showers then. Our son in laws parents are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a party at their house this weekend (it's a surprise, how the kids are going to manage keeping it a surprise when it's at the parents house is something I'll have to see) and they are having 150 people........sure hope the weather is good, because 150 folks in the house (even though the house is huge) makes for a not so nice time! 3 bathrooms in the house, but you'll still have to stand in line, no doubt. I'll try not drinking anything (yeah, bet that'll work out just fine:)-D

Hope your friend has some nice weather PH. The Plaza hotel is very centrally located, right in Copley Square, so she has some wonderful restaurants close by.....hotel is quite old, but nicely maintained.

BB, hope you're enjoying your company. We'll talk with you when they leave. Yes, I do remember Crabby Bill's. We had a great dinner there. We found a similar place in Stuart, name something like Wahoo. We watched the space shuttle launch from there last March.

Time to go make myself useful instead of decorative......see you later.

Just had to wish Tony a very Happy Birthday...........cant let him think we forgot him even though he's away...............hope it was a good one...........

We went to the Villages today.........they have such a nice Ross and TJ Maxx compared to the ones in Ocala..................of course,didnt find anything I HAD to have..................ate lunch at TooJays....................

Now Dennis is snoozing till he heads out................

PH, you are not alone......

I love Toojay's. We have one in Vero and their cheesecake is soooooo good. So is their carrot cake, in fact, I haven't had anything from there that wasn't wonderful!

Been running all day, twice to the office, babysat for a short time, shopping, but didn't seem to get anything done. Heading out to dinner tonight with group of women I worked with at State Street Bank, back when it was fun to work there! We still get together about 4 times a year and talk about how wonderful everyone looks since they left SSB! Even if we are kidding ourselves, it's fun to see them again.

Sun came out for a short time today, and brought the humidity with it. Dark clouds now, but they are promising better weather for the weekend. We'll see.

No carrot cake today for us.....even though it looked wonderful.....we each had a black and white cookie..........
