Angeline wanted to take the two dogs on the road trip part of our journey, so they put them in a kennel in YVR. They were good dogs and we enjoyed having them with us.....they got to stay in some nice rooms and saw some wonderful country.....they're pretty damn lucky dogs.

Booked 2 Celebrity cruises and one RCI at $100 deposit each person [$600]. Shipboard credit for CEL has increased since our last cruise on them.

I'm sorry that dennis doesn't have very good routes this time. Sounds like difficult hours too.

Yea, we'll see how this new schedule goes.....in the meantime,he has feelers out with other companies.....

OK, here's the deal.......I booked Mariner because John and Angelia want to do a trial cruise with their then 6 month old little boy.....Joseph calls him Smart Foot, and they want Nancy along as moral support. I may end up cancelling it if something better than the Mexican Riviera comes along.

BTW, I was already on Mariner in November 2003.....right after your "dead beat" voyage:D.....just call me "Tony, who always has to pay his own way, McKenna"

Oh yeah, the dogs are dual citizens and have their own passports, so no problem with the border crossing.

What a chatty bunch you've been while I was away from the computer! Sounds like you had a fantastic trip, San. Bert loved doing the zipline too, only he did it in Jamaica.

We had a fun day in Ocala yesterday. Went to Laurie's first for lunch and then they showed us the house they're trying to buy. Keep your fingers crossed - It's a short sale ... UGH! Those are such a pain. After the house showing, we went to Justin's gymnastic class which lasted for 3 hours!::eek: That little squirt is really getting good. I just hope he keeps it up once they move to Texas in August. It would be a shame if he gave it up now. After that we all went to Cody's for dinner. We had never been there before. I wasn't too impressed with the food - lukewarm ribs, ran out of baked potatoes and mixed veggies, and had to wait almost half an hour for rolls. Server was real sweet though and it was still happy hour, so I guess it wasn't all bad.

PH - Dennis' new schedule stinks! I remember what a pain it was trying to keep the kids and dog quiet when Bert had to sleep during the day. It's no fun.

Time to get into "here comes more company" mode. J&J will be here tomorrow and are staying until Sunday, so I won't get any chance to get on the computer. Speaking of the computer, we're having trouble too. The main switch on the power center/surge thingie broke. Only was we can boot up the computer right now is if Bert gets the wires to short out. Not a good thing! I think Gary is coming over tonight to see what can be done or to bring over a new one.

BB-I could had told you Codys sucks BIG TIME..............First time,we ate there,they screwed everything up.........so much so, they gave us a free meal for the next time...........went and that was it...........too many other places like that......................

didnt know Missy and family were moving,,..........bet you'll miss them.............Texas is so far away.............and hope Laurie and family get the house they want.......are they renting now??

Well, I'm glad to hear that.

Michael Gordon McKenna [Smart Foot as Joseph calls him] is due on December 10. Don't know much else about him yet....he's just a bulge to me.

Yeah, what the h8ll's up with Texas, BB? I think short sales, or foreclosures are a good way to go, even if it is a lot more work and waiting......lots of bargains out there right now. If I was younger, I'd buy up a couple and sit on them for 5 or 10 years.

PH - I knew I had heard bad things about Cody's, but that's where Laurie wanted to go. Either there or Tony Sushi. They finally decided on Cody's as on Tuesdays kids eat free. I definitely was not impressed.

Laurie owns her own house. She's owned it since before she got married. It's a tiny house that was perfect for 1 person. Now they've outgrown it and it's time for a bigger place.

I'm absolutely sick over Missy moving to Texas, but what can I do? Jimmy is working there now and they need to be together as a family. Missy has been like a single parent for the past about 6 months. That's not good. Missy is driving to Texas today and tomorrow and will be there for a week. Then she's leaving the boys there for 2 weeks and will drive home alone. I don't like that! In 2 weeks she'll have to do it all over again. As it stands now in the beginning of August Jimmy will take vacation and come back for them to pack everything for the move. Knowing how they tend to change their minds about things, I don't see this as a great career move for Missy, but I have to keep my mouth shut at times. NO COMMENTS FROM YOU ON THAT LAST SENTENCE, SAN! I see you here.:wave

Thats alot of driving for Missy.....Hope she has a safe trip............there and back.....then there and back again.......hahaha

Hope Laurie gets that much needed bigger house soon............short sales are so inaptly named(wait is that a word??),,,,,,,,,,,,,they take a LONG time to get..........but I wish them the very best.............were they able to sell their current home yet??

Just found a snake swimming in my pool..................scooped it out and threw next door..............hope he doesnt come back............

They were not saying much about the pregnancy for quite a while because on July 4 last year, Angelia lost a baby and they didn't want to jinx it.

I wasn't thinking that, BB.......uhhhhhh, that's a lie, but I'm hoping it makes you feel better.

Tony, I remember you & Nancy, Marcia & Carl, John & Angelia, Pat & Bert, and me and Bill being on the Mariner quite a while ago......someone switched the table numbers, right? Probably right after the pre-inaugurals.....I think it was a sailing added when the ship was early.......November, I think. John told me the sex of the baby yesterday.....congratulations on the new addition.

Talk with you later, have to figure out dinner.

Just waiting on Dennis to get home(by 8)..........then he'll eat..go to bed for a few hours.........and be in jacksonville first thing in the morning.......debating whether to take him or just let him have the car,,,,,,,,,,,I really hate being stranded without a car..just in case.........but not sure I want to go out around 1am.........we'll see...............with this schedule,we really need another vehicle.......

Morning! Now I know what woke me up around 3:30 this morning ... San's wake up yell! Not so loud, buddy. Some of us want to sleep later than that!=sleep

Figured I'd check in now while I have a chance. I'm getting a haircut at 11:30 and still have a few things to do before J&J get here around 6.

By the way, I found out Missy does not have to drive to Texas again in 2 weeks. The boys will be flying home instead. That makes me feel better. Missy called last night and was just about out of Florida. She was stopping for the night and planned an early start today. She'll call later to let me know she arrived.

Best get going or some things are never going to get done today. Be back later ... hopefully!

Morning...........

Thanks for the wakeup call,San,but you were 2 hours too early......the alarm went off at 2:30.............I was too tired to go,so now I am stranded at home........which is not such a bad thing at times.............................he should be home by dinner..............maybe I'll actually get some stuff done around here...........

Have a nice visit with J and J,BB...........I know you will..................great news Missy doesnt have to drive back again in 2 weeks.........

Marcia-time for a check in from you to let us know how you and Carl are doing...........

Rita-any plans for the 4th??
