Wow! Sort of reminds me of the Duck Tour we did on St. Maarten a few years ago. Remember that one, Rita? At least when the trans went on the duck, we still had brakes to roll back down the hill. That was scary enough!

Got caught at the beauty parlor due to heavy rain. I waited about 15 minutes until the rain let up a bit. I went to open my little Samsonite umbrella and the d*mn thing fell apart on me! By the time I got home, there was torrential rain. I had to call Bert on my cell phone to bring out the big golf umbrella. Otherwise I could have kissed away the money I had just spent!

Time to get back to work. Not much more to do except vacuum. Then it's time to start dinner.

Some of those Duks have to be decades old. I wouldn't trust them myself.

Checking in...HIYA Rita!!

No rain here today....it was a miracle!! Dennis got home around 2.......had to cut the grass(hes fanatical about the lawn).......it was kinda hot..............jumped in the pool(which I cleaned while he mowed) to cool off...............

We had dinner then went for ice cream................hes now back to work and headed to Naples,FL............

Wonder if there is anything good on tv tonite???????

Hi,

When I read about the Duck tour I had to laugh thinking about our St. Maarten experience. We went to the Divi Aruba last October, and that's right at the bottom of the hill we were stuck on! Did we get our money back from that tour? I don't think so, but I don't think we asked......I just remember our killing ourselves laughing......but it was hot, hot, hot! Was that the same Mariner trip as the one PH mentioned above, or was that another one? Were J & J with us on the one with San and Marcia? I remember our other dinner companions......he wanted Bert to "adopt" him........Semper Fi.....or some other such nonsense........have you heard from them again?

We're going to Kevin's for the 4th...he always has a big neighborhood cookout and his pool and the pool of the neighbors is open for anyone. Probably not much pool time for the adults, it's still too cold up here, but they are talking about sun and temps in the low 80's for the 4th. Sure hope so, as this rainy weather is very depressing.

PH, sorry you are stuck at home, but sometimes that's not a bad thing. I can usually get stuff done when I'm home alone......no distractions:D

Hope everyone has a good weekend.....just in case I don't get back on.

J & J were aboard Mariner when Marcia and I were.

Going to Watsonville today after breakfast in San Jose with a friend from Xerox......John and I are going to help Matthew install pavers in his backyard. Probably be doing the same thing tomorrow.....then afterwards, M&P are having a BBQ.

Just bought some more Watsonville strawberries........they are almost as good as the ones from Plant City,FL.......hahah

Just picked up a rack of ribs.the Shrine Club was selling them...........will have them for dinner.............tomorrow might just go to Ruby Tuesday.............its BOGO dinners tomorrow................

Happy Fifth of July....hahahah

Went to the gym.......now Dennis is doing some pressure washing outside...................its nice to have him home for a whole weekend................

Think I'll go outside and keep him company............

Good morning.

Had a really nice fourth of July in Watsonville. Lots of illegal fireworks over there....we were surrounded by them....hispanic people seem to go all out on the fourth and spend mucho bucks on fireworks.

Hi,

We had a nice 4th and 5th! Spent both days at the son and DIL house. Big party yesterday, little party today. Pool still COLD! Lots of friends, food and fireworks.

Glad the holiday is over, but more glad weather has improved considerably. Warm and sunny two days in a row........weatherman says pattern has changed, summer is here. (What do they know, they right less than half the time).

Bill is still trying to find a suitable time to head to Florida and take care of his mother's house and other things. Airfare is high, so he might have to wait until August. Between his schedule and Kevin's, it's hard to find a good time for this. I will not be going, as I'll have to have babysitting duties that Bill normally has......that's OK, the kids are no problem, and it's probably too hot and humid in Florida.

You're right.......it is way hot and humid here..............just had a thunder storm...................

I have a dr appt this afternoon.........why does it seem I am always going to one dr or another??????????? Jeez!!

Did you notice though, that both BB and Rita are management......and you and I are just peons. Something's not right here.

Hi ya'll! It's been a busy couple of days and this is the first chance I've had to post. I've stopped by a couple of times since J&J left, but every single time I was ready to post, the phone rang or the doorbell rang. It was getting very frustrating. Hopefully, I'll make it through this post with no interruptions.

I spotted those titles yesterday. Chief housekeeper, huh? That means I get to order people to clean. I like that idea. Now, if I could just get someone here this morning to clean, I'd be a happy camper. I wonder where Bert went. I could put him to work!:lol

We had a fun weekend with J&J. As usual, the time went way too fast. By the time they left Sunday morning, I was so exhausted from the hours we were keeping ... late to bed & early to rise. Just can't do that like in the old days!:cool:

Oh crap ... There goes the phone AGAIN!!!

I posted a while ago..........hit submit and all he!! broke loose.............darn puter...................tried everything I could think of...............called Cox and thru the automated system, they got me back online.................had to disconnect modem,then router................replug them in and finally got back online...............how annoying...............

any,I did say I was glad to see BB back and glad she had fun.................would be nice to have someone cleaning for you,wouldnt it????????

No plans for today...............maybe go to Publix....................Dennis left jacksonville a while ago to head to the port in Savannah(good thing he got that TWIC card--haha)...........he'll bring back that load and head back to GA for the am...........busy,busy.....but thats good.(tu)

Well, hopefully this one will take...........if not,I wont be back for awhile cuz my puter will be in a million pieces as I throw it out the window......
