Sorry I didn't post earlier. I am sooo traumatized from the collision. I'm not sure I could ever go in the CL again after looking out the window there and practically being able to hand a drink to someone on one of the Legend's balconies! I probably could have told you their eye color too! I can't sleep. I'm having flashbacks. I heard the only cure for this condition is to book another cruise. Hasn't happened yet, so I don't know how long I will remain like this. And to top it off, RCCL didn't even give us a free drink outside of what we had in the CL! I was looking for some ambulance chasing lawyers as we got off the ship, but didn't see any.
I did learn something new on this cruise. We all know alpha, alpha, alpha is a medical emergency and that bravo, bravo, bravo is fire. We learned that echo, echo, echo means sh*t ... We've just been hit by a Carnival ship!!! LOL
Seriously though, it was kind of scary watching the Legend keep getting closer and knowing it was going to hit our ship. Wasn't a hard hit, but you knew we had been hit. The Legend came out the worst with all the scrapes and broken glass. I do have to say the crew did everything the way they are supposed to and within a couple of minutes people were starting to laugh about it. Except for the people who were waiting in the pouring rain to reboard the ship that is. They couldn't get on because the gangway wasn't sitting right and they were afraid we'd get hit again.
Aside from "the incident", we had a great time. In KW Bert finally talked me into going to that museum that's painted red. It was a waste, but we did see some very interesting sculptures around that building, including one of a group of naked women frolicking!:spyglass: In Cozumel just got some Z-pac and had lunch at 1/2 Senor Frogs. I agree, Rita, it was no fun to shop with salespeople breathing down your throat. We just kept walking. We didn't bother getting off the ship in Belize. They were calling for a 40% chance of rain and after the storm the day before, we decided there was nothing we wanted to do anyway. We went to the CL every night. It was hardly used and would only have about 6 couples when we were there. The diamond event was held in the VC each night. Being we were alone, we didn't need to go there, so we stuck to the CL. We met a guy and his mother there every evening. He says he knows you, PH, and was on the last SV cruise with you. Again I agree with you, Rita, about the guy in Schooner Bar. I told the bartender there last night that I thought he was terrible and he agreed with me. Funny thing happened though ... The later you stayed at the SB, the better he started to sound!!! LOL We did early seating for dinner. One of the couples at our table lives in On top of the World. I invited them to drop by the Florida threat.
OK, have I bored you enough yet? All in all, it was a wonderful cruise and we would love to have had you and Dennis with us, PH. Aside from the fact that I had to get my own glass of wine a little while ago, the news about Paul made our trip seem so trivial. Talk about a reality check! Poor Judy ... I feel so bad for her.
Better get off here, so Bert can use the computer. K&G are coming for pizza tonight. Some things just NEVER change!
