Not only the crowds...but the lines that the crowds form. Plus, the heat and weather. Yikes. I remember going a couple of years ago in June when my sister visited - only time she could come - it was crowded, lines were long and the heat just made you so tired.

Playing surrogate mother to a kitten Gary brought home from work. There was a rented portable at the job site, and when they went to move it to take it away, there was the manx kitten. So...he's (we think it's a he) is here...and quite noisy. He's eaten twice, and seems very healthy...probably about 2 weeks old.

Well, he raising a fuss, so must be feeding time, again....will be back later

Thanks Marcia - Gary has a real soft heart. He check around for other kittens, and the mother but didn't see anything. He's been working there for 4-5 months, so would have seen a cat if it was friendly. When they removed the shed, they dragged it and loaded on a truck, that's when they saw the kitten in the dirt. He's doing well...I've been feeding him every 4 hours (sounds familiar) and keeping him warm and tucked into his box. We'll see what happens.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad day yesterday. Hope Doug is doing better and they catch the culprits. Hope you are feeling better.

San, PH and Ruttie - Hi...hope your weekends are going well.

K2's probably still standing in line....:lol

Well well..........you all are talking about me like I'm not only NOT HERE...BUT DEAD too!! Geez.

The ponchos weren't hot and sticky because it wasn't all that hot on Sat with all the rain and clouds on and off. There were mostly clear colored ponchos with DISNEY written on the back of them.
Lines weren't all that llong and because of Jill and Art's intense research we learned how to do FAST TRACK to get tickets to ride a favorite ride again by by-passing the long lines. Also, to go in the SINGLE lanes.

Today, Sunday, it was nice up until 2:30 pm and then the skies let loose big time. Lost power 1 time for a few seconds so far. I gotta tell you one thing when it rains here in Florida it plain old pours. Suppose to do that through the night. Monday's weather is 30% chance for showers and same on Tues. We can deal with 30% quite well.

The family is watching a video right now and all is well.

San: Art's old tennis shoes worked out just fine for him. My OLD tennis shoes are just fine for me, but my feet swelled up at the ankles like they always do when I'm walking for 12 hours around a amusement park!! DUH..........I think I did a great job keeping up with everyone for the first day.

Jill and Art said they'd see how I'll do on Monday at Animall Kingdom or Magic Kingdom. Not sure which we're going to yet. I just get in the car and follow them all around. That's the best part of this trip.............I don't have to plan anything. Just follow.

SAN: I'm with you about these kids these days saying they're NOW TRYING TO HAVE A FAMILY. We just told our parents when we actually found our ourselves. Kind of funny knowing what they're doing most evenings now!! Hee Hee.

Okay, you all can keep picking on me...........but remember PAY BACKS are hell!! [/col:Dor]

Okay, BIG THUNDERSTORMS now!
PH: You can call off the RAIN GODS anytime and I'd really be grateful. :girly

K2 - April is supposed to by our dry month...apparently the weather gods weren't listening.:lol Animal KIngdom is not very big, so you should get around fine there; but there is a lot of walking because of it's hub shape (sometimes can't get there from here). Very smart using the single lines, especially for the coaster rides. Good luck tomorrow.

PH - Okay, it's not original, but we've been calling him, Lucky; it was lucky he wasn't crushed when they removed the shed...think trash/waste container.

He's been eating fine, and I've been waking him up every 4-5 hours for feeding. He sleeps really good on this heat/cold pad we got from the chiropractor. It's like a plastic bag with these beads in gel...put in the freezer for cold, microwave for warm. I heat it up, put it in a flannel pillow case and put it in his box. We think that if we can keep him alive for a week, then we're in the clear.

It has rained all day here...deep fried a turkey for dinner and now getting ready for Big Brother. Next week should be fun at work...school's are closed, so a lot of people at the district are also taking time off. Have a good Sunday evening!
When she books the same cruise as you?? :S
Yes, when h*ll freezes over.

Sounds like an involved process to keep the little guy alive PQ. Takes a special person to want to do that.

Anyone watch Oprah the other day when she did the report on puppy mills?? That was soooooooo sad........esp the part when they showed how they euthanise(?) dogs at the shelter.......they did it first hand.........made me want to buy a farm and adopt them all................

So here you are...... Went to Macy's for a Wedding present, Costco (broke the bank), then Ruby Tuesdays for lunch and then home
and sat out on the porch swing to read and nap.....

He is right, don't mess with his dining room table. When that happens, he does get just a bit testy...... I "know".

Kris, just keep trying, that is all you can do.... Broke my heart yesterday..... Daughter in law Teresa is like you and Kc, will do anything
to save an animal. Went out there yesterday and bent down to pet one of her cats and almost lost it.... This cat had a huge "hole" in its back. Someone shot the poor thing about a week ago.... Spent 4 days at the vet, still has buck shot in the open wound, just looks awful. And yet did not seem to be in pain...... Teresa said, all they could do was see if it would close on its own. Too big to stitch. You would
need a skin graft. Watch the poor thing to see is if infection sets in. I saw the cat jump up on a porch chair and then over to a table and
did not seem in pain, but I just hurt for the poor thing. Give me a gun and tell me who did it and I'd take care of them.

back later......

Didn't watch OPra, but would have turned off the part where they were snuffing pets.

Animals seem to have an amazing ability to cure themselves Marcia...bet it will be OK. We had a farm cat when I was growing up that got attached by another animal....tore it's stomach open.....the cat kept licking the wound to heal it self. It survived.

Sure hope so Tony. Each animal they rescue, Teresa takes to the vet to spayed or neutered. Get their shots and keeps them if she can't
find them a good home.
When Mike's old horse died a few years ago, they took turns sitting in the stall with Ombre's head in their laps the last 24 hours..... They are two very special people..... The had a pregnant cat dumped at their house, nursed it, and when the kittens were old enough, they worked out a deal with the vet to fix all 6 of them, well 7 counting the mother.
