No, they're not Edocs, just regular paper ones. My guess is that the TA is holding them.....she usually gives them to me about two weeks out, which is Friday. I'll bug her in a couple of days. I should have used Rita on these next two cruises.

[size=medium]SAN: I thought you were using Rita for all your cruises lately. Next time I need to book a vacation and can't do it myself I'm going to use her. I can usually do quite well with airline tickets and hotels on my own. But GOD FORBID I ever go on a cruise I'd use her for sure. And I'd book the air through the cruise company just because of all the stuff I've read on all these boards about how much easier it is to have done this when things go wrong. Like weather or ships coming back late etc, etc.

Off to get some dinner. Hopefully......TAI FOOD!! Nice and spicey and hot !!

Thing with cruise airfare,it tends to cost a whole lot more.........if you're just flying somewhere in the US to catch a flight, you're better off booking it yourself......just go a day early................so when will you be booking this cruise??

Two weeks is so close,San.......I bet she had them for some time now..

K2, I have two cruises to burn off that I reserved over a year ago. The 2009 cruise plus any other future ones will be booked through Rita. I have no problem making air reservations.....I go in a day early and book a later flight on go home day. PH is right, most cruise air is quite expensive.

I've used this current TA for 22 years....she was very young back then and very good [because I used her to book big group cruises when I was at Xerox]. Now she's a manager of group bookings.....and we sometimes fall by the wayside. That's why I'm switching to Rita. She still hasn't told me about an itinerary change on our Sept. TransAtlantic....had to find it out for myself.....actually through Rita. It doesn't really matter....I find out things for myself.

They threw her *ss off the one she took for complaining about the seas and weather.....told her not to come back until she could take it like a man.

[size=medium]PH: I actually loved the cruise. I just didn't like how sick I was for 2 weeks after the cruise!!
The big thing I didn't like about cruising was feeling like "A Cattle Run" everytime you had to eat, get off the ship or go see a show or a tour etc, etc. And I was on a medium size ship compared to what's out there now. I was on the Radiance. Our cruise vacation that went to Barbados, St John, St Martin, ST Thomas and somewhere else it was lovely. We've flown to many of the places that the cruises go to and just stayed in one place for the week and relaxed and enjoyed the night life and city life and SUNSHINE & WATER. When I was working that's what was important for all of us when on a vacation. A time to get some good sun, food, water and relax. Just knowing I had to be back at work crunching numbers in a week or two weeks I wanted to be relaxed. Cruising to me was not relaxing in the way I wanted to relax. Now that we have Grandkids and they actually enjoy our company on vacations it's hard to not go with them while we still can. And going on a ship with little kids under 10 years old is just NOT MY IDEA of FUN.

I have nothing against people cruising..........REALLY!! Hope this doesn't get me thrown out of here!!

Were sick-sick or just had sea legs after?? I have to disagree....a cruise is very relaxing..........we rarely go to any shows and if you want ,you can eat when you want....like the commercial sayd, you can do as much as you want to do nothing at all.......Dennis and I basically veg by the pool all day except taking time out to eat..........then at night ,have a drink or two at a bar and maybe go to the casino..

But of course, to each his own and if that kind of vacation doesnt fit the bill, you do the land trips........no problem..

I was thinking more along the lines of the NCL commercials where they show people on other lines acting like robots......and they're not like that:cool:

PH: Did you see the BANNER just above this message box where they were advertising RENTING HANDBAGS. WHAT next renting "Underwear"!! I absolutely HATE spending tons of money on handbags. I'm to hard on them for one thing and there are so many knock-offs you'd have to leave the PRICE TAG on to prove you bought the right thing these days.
Just thought I'd see if you saw that on this site/

And if I had 38 cruises or more under my belt I'd most likely just hang around the pool and skip a lot of the tours, etc, etc. But we packed everything we could into one week on the ship and needed another vacation before returning to work. And we didn't have it planned that way.

Not a big deal........like you all said...........to each his own. As long as you take some time to take a break from your job and house and city it works for me.

Later.........gotta go see what's on TV tonight besides ER. :girly

Been up since 7 a.m. and went to Art's Orthopedic Surgeons office to have him look at his TOE. Needs to go in (out-patient) to have the Dr open it up and see why it's swelling and bursting every 3 weeks. Always something.

Partly Sunny w/clouds that look like they want to RAIN on us, but then it's been like this ALL WEEK. At least it's warmer today. The grass could really use some water!!

Lots of Birds out by the bird-feeders today. The Male Cardinal is just sooooooo RED and pretty.

Okay, I'm out of here to see what needs to get done around here. Art's going to bike around in this area to find some of the Geo-Caching places Jill printed out for him.

Have a fun day all.......... For you WORKERS........the WEEKEND is all but here!!

Back from my haircut. Beautician got carried away with hairspray ... My hair is so stiff and hard, I could probably hammer nails into the walls using my hair! She normally doesn't do this. I guess with all the wind and breezes we've been having, she decided to give it more spray to make sure it made home before blowing apart. Oh well ... I can always wash it in the morning.

K2 - Once upon a time I think we all did what you did on your cruise. That's what happens when you're a newbie. Now we basically set our own pace while in port and unless it's a port we've never been to before, we just wander on shore a bit and then enjoy the almost empty ship for the rest of the day. Now that's relaxing.
