BB - I'll join you...having a glass of red wine will hopefully make me feel better...here's to the CA Happy Hour. -D-D Yes...it's crunch time and of course principals can't figure out why the person they hire today can't start on Monday. Not like they had all last month to hire for the position. And to add to the mix...all contractor/vendor employees come through our office for badging...so we have to keep up with their level II background check and do all the processing. Sure you don't want to come back

Still waiting for the shore excursions to open up for October...the canopy tour we want to do is only available through the cruise line.

K2 - no walking this week? You're doing better than me...I need to get my gazelle back up and running.

Hi. Been busy with Joseph all day......we brought him back to Gilroy....he helped me wash the truck and other chores. Went for a walk with Angeline and Trousers this afternoon....but it was hot. matthew came for dinner and to pick up Joseph.

I have another back appointment with the Chiro this morning and then need to stop at the bank, grocery, etc.......

PQ, how are those kitties doing. Our one TV station has a segment on Wed. morning called, "It's raining cats and dogs".. They care so cute. They had two little gray kittens this morning....... If I were there, I would have come home with both of them.

Good morning! It's going to be a busy day around here. Time to start cleaning and getting ready for company. I'd much rather be getting ready for a cruise.

PQ - It never failed that at our school some new hire would change their mind the Friday before teachers were to report. Boy, did that get the principal scrambling! Hired a teacher from DC one year only to find out after the first marking period that she did not keep or record a single grade! The first day of school her parents sent her a dozen roses. When she got fired, the dead roses were still sitting on her desk! I felt so sorry for the kids in her class.
Try not to work too hard. I know ... easier said than done.

San - Sorry I didn't stick around to share a drink with you last night. By the time you posted, I was sound asleep.

Hi there:

Went to breakfast with Mike and Jerry this morning up in San Jose. Matthew also joined us as he was on his way up to the Lick Observatory up on Mount Hamilton. Stopped in Gilroy on the way home to get a haircut and fuel for the GMC ($4.139 at Chevron....cheapest in town).

no, that price is for regular.....Premium is $4.439.

San - That's really funny that Chevron is the cheapest by you. It's just the opposite here. Most of the Chevron stations are owned by the same guy and their prices are the highest. While most other stations are around $3.80, I saw one Chevron station yesterday that is at $3.99 for regular gas. Hess is about the cheapest we have. I noticed that gas was a lot cheaper in Leesburg yesterday. Too bad Bert filled up before we headed in that direction!

It's still hot as h*ll here. Heat index is 99!: Thank goodness for AC.

I read AARP mag today.......good story about that cruise ship that sank in the Antartic and how they were recused........

I always notice gas is more in the Orlando area,BB...dont know why......you guys are closer to the port...

During "normal" times, Chevron is the most expensive around here.......but during the current price hikes, I think they are gouging the independents so that they have to charge more than the big guns.

What's AARP? Do you have to be OLD to subscribe to that?

[large]Hey gang........it's LATE LATE LATE........and I'm sooo tired. Read all about what Art and I were up to today!!

We also were in the basement dragging ITEMS........actually more JUNK than ITEMS if you ask me up for the Garage Sale. I doubt that I'll be ready to open up the garage door on Thursday, but it's going on Friday and Sat too so it'll be just fine.
