Enjoying the quiet before the storm. Bert's already off filling up propane tank for the grill and gas cans in case we need to use the generator. We've already got a tropical wind warning for this evening. You'd never know there's a storm brewing. It's a beautiful sunny morning around here. Somehow I think that will change as the day wears on.

Marcia, I got a map of london at barnes and Noble yesterday, so now I know where you are staying. Looks like there are no Underground Stations close by though. May have to cab it. Now I just need to find where R is staying and I'l be all set.

I said that I would try it if they gave me a free preinaugural on it......I ain't paying for it.....which means, considering the way RCCL now is, that I won't be getting the chance. There are more and more posts about how RCCL is less considerate of pax and C&A than they used to be.

I'm really seriously thinking of changing the last two cruises on my list to Celebrity. I think that the Solstice class are going to be much nicer than FRs and GNs. I just need to get over the fact that there is no CL on CEL......but, you know, we didn't really miss it on Infinity. The CLs are becoming zoos anyway. This upcoming TransAtlantic is a make or break for me. If they do make changes to captain's Club.....that will seal it for me.

Good morning! Figured I better do a quick check in while I have a chance. Looks like our storm is just going to be a rain maker. Thank goodness! Lots of dark clouds, but no rain here just yet. I think that's going to change shortly though.

CC's all screwed up again, so I'll post here what I tried to post there -



We're getting a good bit of wind around here right now. That just started. Up until this point we've only had light rain, but I don't think that's going to last. Fay isn't nearly as strong as expected.

Kris & Gary were going to come over here for one of 2 reasons ... First - Kris doesn't like to be home alone during severe storms. Second (and the one we think is the main one!) - We've got lots of food!!! Kris is at work and got soaked going into the office. Now I'm going to keep her updated as the weather gets a bit worse.

Not sure this will even post, so I'm making this short.

Hi all...........

had a bunch of rain earlier................now some wind and clouds..........gonna rain later and tomorrow....schools closed both days.........

Dennis just left for Key largo.............gonna take 75 down(west coast) so hopefully,it wont be too bad..

Matt just called.........hes in Vegas with a bunch of friends........about 20 of them......went for a bachelor party.....says it is way too hot.......its about 30 degrees hotter than here right now!

Boy, things are starting to get interesting around here - tornado warnings, severe t-storms & weather radio going off over and over. Tornado warning was just for the Vero Beach area. Good thing Bill & Rita are up this way and not down there.

Kris just called and the first thing she asked was what are we having for dinner. They closed her office and are't sure they will be open tomorrow. Gary got sent home over an hour ago.

Can you believe that there are some idiots going surfing?

You Florida people please take care of yourselves through this "FAY" storm. It might as well be a hurricane the way she keeps coming and going according to the weather stations. Not a pretty picture.

The windsufer guy just doesn't have any BRAINS........and now his body is all banged up because of it. IDIOT!!

I hate to say this.......but it's just a perfect day here today. Started out 58 degrees and cloudy and now it's 74 and just sunny and nice.

I'm off to make a fresh pot of coffee. Just for me .........Art's biking tonight!!

I got to see Camping pictures that Jill sent to me.........They really looked like they had fun. I might have to break down next year and go along. I just have to share this story with you about Eric on the beach. He goes up to this girl who looked like she was 12 years old and just starts talking to her and playing and follows her back to her huge TRAILER w/ a extention on it. Then back to the beach. Sister Ashley comes over to check things out and he looks at her and says.....are you all sitting down.........."Ashley, CAN WE HAVE SOME PRIVACY WE'RE TALKING"!! UNREAL KID.
Of course she runs back to tell Mom & Papa what he said. And Art said he almost fell over laughing!! Out of the mouth of babes!! Too funny.

Good Morning all, Oh, that's right, it's evening, so I can go get a drink. I've given up on when, where or if Heather and Byron are coming..... Byron called last night looking for Acme Travel. That is an old joke between him and me. I'm the one in the family that "plans" trips..... When he called last night, they were still west of Denver and still planning to spend two days in Greensburg and Heather plans to be in New York to see her brother on Friday..... Duh....... We may not see Heather at all, and maybe wave to Byron as his plane heads out of Dayton. I've given up trying to figure their trip out.

Hope all of you in Florida are still safe.

BB, I knew why your kids were coming to your house........ Do you remember where you were when your kids all came and emptied your freezer.... And what ship and who was with you..... I do?

PH, I saw the idiot that flew into the building and no, not on a plane.

San, I did get my Euro's and Pounds.....

The reason I like the CL is for early morning coffee/latte and muffins and then a quiet place to sit down during the day.......

Marcia - I well remember the where and with who during that hurricane a few years ago. I did luck out tonight and they never came over. I guess they know there's no lobster, king crab or filet mignon in the freezer! I really do need a nice quiet evening. If only the weather radio complies!
