I thought that it was only me that had the problem with C-A yesterday.......I was all over this computer looking for where I had screwed up with loading "phorum"!

K2, Nancy and I aren't planning on staying at Costanoas, we just went up there to check it out and have dinner. Matthew and patti, Angeline and Anthony too, usded it as a little weekend getaway.......They don't need parents along. Do you really sleep with your door wall open? We lock up the house when sleeping.....leave some upstairs windows open though. bOB's the guy that does the real work around here...not John:p [Wish he'd stop by more often]

BB, I think you treat people too nicely....plus, you feed them too well.....no wonder people come and stay too long. That would have been nice if you could have booked the TransAtlantic with us.

So, what's the wether like in Ocala, PH? .......little on the mild side?

Yeah Marcia.....hair appointment vs seeing us!!!!

Off to catch the last of the evening news. Not much good reporting today at all.
The Mayor of Detroit brought his wife with him today to the court room for his hearing. She wore these TIGHT ASS white pants and white top and has dyed her hair half golden blonde. Looked awful!! He must have needed someone on his side since he's been coming to court just with his lawyers lately. I just wish the man would resign. Really making Detroit look worse than it already is. Wonder if that's possible?? =huh[/size]

K-2.... Living as close as you do to Detroit,I'd never leave any door or walls open.... We leave our bedroom windows open cause you need a ladder to get to them.
And what's with the being tired from the cruise and the long flight. We get off the ship in Boston... all we need is a short bus trip to the airport. Boy is she gonna be lost in Boston.......... She will be looking for Paul Revere..... or his horse...

[size=medium]I need to clarify something about our doorwall being left open. Art got up from the COUCH and closed the sliding doorwall in the kitchen to avoid the harsh smelling burning wood. It had to be wet wood. It was gross. It wasn't left open after we went to bed. :)
[size=large]We lock our doors. We have windows that open to a certain place and then they lock in place and can still have the alarm set on them. It's usually the Kitchen window and the large bathroom window that we leave open for a cross wind. We always have our bedroom window open when it's nice and cool out. It has a different alarm on it and we just deactivate it. If they get us they get us.
And you don't have to live close to Detroit to have someone break into your house. We got broken into in our first home and it was around 6 to 7 pm.while we were out. We think it was the people who were renting the house across the street at the time. Hope that clears up the Open door and window subject. (tu)

I'm out of here for now to go and water my plants. The sun is finally set and it's a little cooler out there. Art's biking as usual on Tuesday nights.

No, not at all, I was just saying that this Miscellaneous thread is the equivilent of the Foataway Lounge. I remember when we were first banished to the Floataway Lounge way back.......we were the first and only thread there for a while. I also vividly remember Hcat getting us banished from another board because she didn't like our non cruising conversation. She should have minded her own business and not read it.....but nooo...had to be self righteous about it.

went to Walmart tonite to get a cell phone car charger(didnt have any).........FIL called and told me to stop by for chips and salsa and wine................just got home...................

I'm Olympic'd out for tonight. Good swimming tonight. Those little Chinese girls did a great job on the tumbles on the mat.

Happy Hump Day to you all.

Getting my haircut at 10:30 a.m. .............can't wait!! :girly Then a re-check at the Eye Doctor at 3:00 pm. It's just a mile away, so that at least I won't be caught up in traffic. I have walked past that medical bldg a few weeks ago. But at 3 pm it would be way too hot to try that again.

Good morning!

No cake baked around here yet. Company doesn't come until tomorrow, so I still have time to decide. With the AC on, it doesn't bother me to bake a cake at this time of the year. I won't be heating up the kitchen cooking as the veggies will all be done on the grill and the ham just needs to be warmed up.

K2 - I've gotten addicted to the Olympics too. Those Chinese girls were very good, but I have to agree with what they were saying on TV - There's no way those girls were at least 16 as required. They couldn't be a day over 14! With the other things that have come out about how the Chinese have fudged things (fireworks and the little girl singing), I don't put anything past them!

San - So when are you inviting us over for some beer cake?

Geesh, What is this two word posts.

I'm still trying to find when Heather and her Father are hitting Ohio, where they are staying and for how long. May be arrive one day, have two full days here, and then Byron has to fly home on the 24th to go back to his teaching job on the 25th. I mean, what is the hurry.....

PH, if you stay at The Inn, give the doggies a tummy rub if they are still around.......... Carl just shut the doors and windows and turned the A/C back on. Humidity is going back up........
