Nancy and I went up to the big city this afternoon [San Jose]....we don't belong up there anymore....just too crowded and too cityee! Anyway, it was 105 in San Jose, 108 in the Almaden Valley, but down to 95 in Gilroy. A/C is running.

Finally getting a chance to stop by and say hi to my favorite people. I've had everything ready for our company for hours. I got a call a half hour ago that they're still only at the Florida welcoming center. Jeesh ... That's like 3 hours away! By the time they get here it'll be about 8 o'clock. Hellava hour to arrive and then still expect dinner. I'd have told them to grab a bite on the way here, but I already have all the veggies preped and ready to go on the grill. Once again, I told Bert he's going to owe me big time after this visit!

PH - Can I sneak into your suitcase tomorrow? I am so over this company coming. Have a great cruise and party hardy for your birthday.:)-D

Took Angeline and nancy up to Berkley to walk around [Angeline's idea]....had an excellent lunch up there and it was a very enjoyable day. 'cept when I started home and hit commuter traffic all the way from Oakland down to Fremont in the East Bay....used the carpool lanes, but they were stop and go also.

PH - Company didn't get here until 8. Go read my rant on CC to find out how I feel about their visit.

San - Sounds like a fun time was had by all. Don't you hate that expression? It used to drive me nuts to read that in the community affairs column in the paper.

Guess I better grit my teeth, paste on a phony smile and see what my company is doing.:cool:

Three weeks from tomorrow morning and we're out of here marcia. Still no word on tickets.

I'd say something to K2, but she hasn't shown up on here yet.

No volunteers for the cruise list?

Who invited them? NO ONE!!! They invited themselves like they always do. I already told Bert that next time we WILL have previous plans for the dates they want to come.

I got a e-mail from Patti and she gave me her Home Address. She said her fellow teachers got her entire classroom ready for her and even put Goodie Bags and name tags on each desk for the kids. Richard was so grateful when he walked into her room. It's good to know that the other teachers and staff care that much about Patti to do that for her. Hope her surgery went well this morning.

I almost got lost on the off trails walking this morning. Had to ask a Mountain biker which way to turn at the fork in the path. Yikes............I really put on a lot of extra walking by NOT STAYING on the MAIN TRAIL. That'll teach me not to do that again. [/large]

Sorry that the GermGuests are not getting any better for you BB. The trouble with them staying there is that you have no place to go to get away from them, I guess....hang in there.

Not sure what American's luggage policy is, K2, but we're flying First/Business, so we get the normal 2 bags each for free.

Yep, I too hope the surgery today went well for Patti. That's really nice that the fellow teachers all pitched in and helped her with her classroom preparation......figured that they would.

I guess PH is already aboard Sovereign and ready to go. her cruise count must be racking up quickly.

Marcia, did you see Roland's eMail on meeting up for dinner on Sunday?

[size=medium]The CAMPERS just called and said they made it up just fine and slept good last night. It's sunny and going to be a great day for them in Canada. Eric again told me that I should have come.He said I could have just used BUG SPRAY to keep the Mosquitos away! The kid was full of excitement in his voice.
Art said that Jill brought some kind of huge netted eating area type tent and they put it around the campsites wooden table. So they can eat without flies or mosquitos eating at their legs. Classy!! Looks like a fantastic day here in Detroit/Metro area today.

Have a fun weekend all. SAN: The Wall Street Journal had a chart with all the airlines and what the extra charges were for everything from water to luggage and how many pieces were free.......not too many. The smaller airlines, JetBlue, Southwest were still free. Suppose they don't want to shake things up and lose any clients.
I looked for the paper, but it must have gotten thrown in the trash. And I don't do going through trash well at all.!! (td)[/size]

AOL had those charts for luggage charges also, K2. Doesn't matter, I'll pay the extra charge if I have to. I think the airlines are nuts.....I think that they should raise fares so that they don't lose huge chunks of money. A couple of airlines need to go out of business first though.....like the ones that are in bankruptcy for the second or third time.

:X:X:X:X That about sums up how I feel about our company. As far as I'm concerned, they can't leave soon enough. I keep working my a$$ off around here and they think they're at a freakin resort! They come and go as they please with no regard for us. As I was preparing dinner tonight, they announced that they were tired from their day of sightseeing and needed to take a nap. I had to turn everything off or dinner would have been ruined.

Now they're out on the deck playing some stupid game. They can't understand why we didn't want to play, so they went ahead and played themselves. The only time they come looking for us is when they want Bert or I to get them something else to drink!

Speaking of something to drink, I think that's what I'm going to get for myself and go watch the Olympics.

You and Bert should just move out until Monday.....go stay at that famous Inn at cocoa beach......but don't tell them where you are.:D

Really inconsiderate bastards, aren't they......I remember them from the last time they visited you.

too. I'm sure he feels bad about them being so inconsiderate.

Sure hope our 23 year old Phelps can handle all the press he's going to be getting. He could barely make
it up the stands to hug his Mom and Sisters from all the camera people around him. UNREAL what this

You must be having a good weekend, K2......you haven't been stuck on here much, so you must be doing things that are interesting to you.

Went to Mimi's in Gilroy last night.......just as we were finishing dinner, Matthew, Patti and Joseph came in......so we sat and talked with them untill they were finished dinner. They had been shopping at the Gilroy Outlets.....which are huge down here.

I just looked at the calendar, and guess what. Four doctor appointments again this week. $$$$$$ Carl to foot doctor Monday, Wed. & Friday - the back doc. and then Thursday Carl has a regular doctor appointment.
