Matthew is my son, Ruttie. The whole family was at the Santa Cruz hospital visiting him at the same time last night. We couldn't all fit in the room, so he dragged his drippers on a pole out to the reception area where they had comfortable chairs and sofas. We sat around and talked for about three hours.....nice evening. He is now bugging the doctors to let him come home early. We did some planning for a big family trip to Death Valley over the Thanksgiving weekend.....some desert time, some Sierra Mountain time, some snow time, some gambling time, some dining time.........

Nav's two youngest still did not know that they were going to Disneyland when they left here yesterday.

Everytime I have a beer with Monty I get stopped at a sobriety check point....happened again last night in San Jose....it had been ten hours since the beer, but never the less, seems I need to watch myself when with him.

OK, time to get up and at 'em Hot Stuff.....just 'cause you were drinking last night, doesn't mean you get to slack off today. So.....Art goes away on his bike trip for 5 days....you change your name to "Hot Stuff", then go to this huge anniversary party with drinking and dancing and cavorting....staying out 'til the wee hours.......what's that all about?

Not a bad influence, GM, just a coincidence that I am going to have to watch in the future...he's funny and I enjoy being around him. he does give me a lot of grief about the d@mn Golden Gate Bridge though...he had Aimee doing the same thing.....glad I sold it to him before he figured out that it is just another bridge

He's a bigger man than me....darned if I would drive 1,600 miles down Interstate 5 outnumbered by 4 females...the poor guy is going to have to do a lot of bathroom stops.....looks like he holds his own though ....no pun intended. Nav and Monty have done a great job raising their kids....they are so polite and well behaved...it was nice to spend the time with them yesterday. Come to think of it....Lauren is also very nice....must be that people on our thread do a great job with kids.

San, my husband used to tell me that I knew all of the rest stops along I95, plus all of the nicer gas station facilities off the Interstate. But I think he was glad I did!!!

I was up at 7:45 a.m. That plenty early after getting to be bed around 3:00 a.m. I'd love for you to able to come to one of these SERBIAN Gigs and see just what goes on. You'd never make it up until way past NOON!! You know they have Serbian Festivals in the California areas...........I'll let you know when you can meet up with my friend ANgelia and you two can talk politics and drink and dance ethnic dances all night long!! [/bold] That was the funnies thing I heard in a long time. ..........okay you had to have been there to really appreicate the call.

San---you know me well..........think I spent 600 of those miles in the sleeper........haha!!

Thats neat how NB and Monty are surprising the girls..........i did that once........... Last day of school,when mine were little,I "kidnapped" them right from school and headed east(I lived on the west coast of FL then).......they kept asking where we were going..........told them shopping in Tampa........were they surprised when we wound up spending the weekend at Disney!!

Well, no holiday for me...........off to work I go!

Thanks for letting me know who Matthew is San,,, I am so glad your son is doing better.. heck by the time i post this he may be getting ready to be wheeled home... Glad everyone is having a good holiday.. PH glad you made it home safe and sound,, sorry you have to work and it is a shame we don;t live closer i would see you today as I am heading out to BN to use a gift certificate i got for my B day from a parent... Think i may have to spend some money today I have this itch to spend not sure why.. gota big wedding coming up need to buy a dress ctually 2 dresses, want to buy a new purse.. and while we have a perfectly good TV that has lasted 10 years and still looks perfect i really want one of those plasma TVs and they have some really good deals right now..... plus richard would love me even more ESPN game plan and new TV!!!!) I was planning on lunging all day today but my ousekeeper called and said she would be here today even though it was a holiday... I am both happy she is coming but also wish it were not on my day off.....well kids are getting up... gotta run....

Cute remark SAN........about Mike's gourds!! You know when those "Gourds" dry up and you shake them the seeds inside make a really nice sound!! And to think you guys wondered all your lives what happened to all those 'tadpoles' that don't make it up stream! Hee Hee!!

I've got a "BRUNCH" at a couples house 4 miles straight down the road from us to go to in awhile. I'm sure there will be a "general review" of the 50th party there since the 2 people who the party was held for will be at the Brunch too!! Maybe they had some of those pictures developed from the cameras that were laying around the tables. Whoever thought that idea up to put "throw away" cameras on tables at receptions should get a medal!! I love using someone elses camera to take pictures and then just leaving it around for THEM to pay for the development.

Okay, I'm out of here for today.............The bay window doorwall verticals that I replaced yesterday really look good. I'm beginning to feel like KC with all these handy-man jobs I've done while Art has been biking. He comes home tomorrow!! SO MUCH FOR MY VACATION!! Hee Hee

Ruttie: If I had a cleaning person.......she could show up on my BIRTHDAY if she wanted too!! I think now that I've got this place looking nice and clean from all my hard work this past week , it might be a good time to get a cleaning person to come in every 2 weeks!! I hate dusting and vacuuming!! Glad to see you're feeling better after that last chemo treatment. Keep up the good work. And I hope you've FRIED ever trace of the dirty BUG out of your system!!

San, I think you've got it right. I couldn't get on CC tonight, but had no problem here. I am so happy to hear that Matt will be going home on Tuesday. That is such wonderful news. We really need to hear good news right now.

I worked about 4 hours this afternoon and got a lot of work done. I wanted to stay another hour, but had to eat something.

PH, how was work today? Were you busy? There were hardly any cars on the streets here.

Worked on the house in Hollister today....finished repairing all the termite damage. The house closes Escrow on Friday. Now the owner wants us to go to Corning [200 miles] and build a deck and a garage. Not doing it though...too far from home and too d@mn hot.

I tried CC, GM, but could not get on....so they haven't fixed a d@mn thing. This one works fine for me.....just gotta get Kc back over here.

Wonder what Marcia is doing.......Nav's in Disneyland. BB's a totally lost cause. [Roll eyes]

PH, we gotta have a reunion in YVR sometime, Nav would be there and I think it is time that Hot Stuff took that cheap Alaska Cruise that we are on. You could easily switch to our crusie if that happens [big toothy grin]

Good Morning GM and PH!!

I got on here ESPECIALLY early to say hello to PH and KC and GM and they've come and gone already!!

I miss my smiley faces.......need to fine the sheet that has the codes on them for this board!! All I can do is this one......... or this one!!

SAN: Don't over do it with all this extra work on your friends house.

Got 4 shrubs cut down to the stumps yesterday. The were "Burning Bushes" that had gotten out of control, so I got my neighbors big tree trimmer thingy and cut off all the branches. Art was kind enough to dig 2 of the stumps out. Today I'll go and try and find 4-5 new bushes of someking to plant in that area. Just need something really SLOW growing that I don't have to be trimming every 4 months and that still lets the CABLE PERSON get to the access box!! You couldn't even see the box before, yet alone get close to it.

My body is telling me that is really didn't appreciate all the EXCESS WORK yesterday. I'm stiff and sore in the arms and hands. Also, have a nice size blister on my palm from cutting 2 other trees on the side of the house. It was worth it though..........they look great right now!!

Hope we have another nice day here today. I'd like to do somemore outside work!!

Hope Matt is feeling good enough to come home. Hope he doesn't RUSH IT either. He's getting much more med's by being in the hospital than he could ever get at home. IV meds work sooooo much faster and better than pills you have to swallow.

MARCIA: How are you and Carl doing over at Lake George??? Bet you're having trouble getting the computer to work or you'd be on here already!! Miss you.

The USA newspaper from this weekend had a article in it about NEW ENGLAND and visiting in the Fall for Fall Colors. I haven't read it yet, but it showed 4 different sections and ways to tour it. I'll have to look it over and see if this still is a possibilty.

Our crazy friends who just bought a small dog so it could fit under the seat in a plane in one of those carriers are going to go to Turkey for 2 weeks in October..........I just didn't have the guts to ask if the DOG was going too, but I bet it is. People like that are nuts.............or just have too much money to blow on paying for a dog to go on the plane. The dog has already gone to Calif this year on a plane!! NUTS!!!

As far as CC, if they do not get it fixed the members will leave and then the traffic goes down. From there the sponsors will pull out and then they will be left with zilch. Being in that busines,s I have seen this happen way too many times.

Not my issue though... I would just hate to see a good site go away like that. Just being a concerned member.

Hi All--- Tried to get on CC just now and couldn't. So what else is new!!!

Loam is all spread and the grass seed applied and rolled. Now the watering begins!! No rain in the forecast for at least another week so the sprinkler will get a workout.

Heard the people from New Orleans don't want to go to the cruise ships so that idea is on hold!! Carnival said they would refurbish the ships afterwards.

K2-- Was it you looking for a new vacuum cleaner?? In the latest issue of Consumers Report that came today, Oct issue, there is an article rating vacuums.

Been busy sewing shorts for the cruise. Can't believe it's only 5 weeks from tomorrow.

Hope everyone is okay. Darlene-- good cartoon.. Our gas here ranges from $2.99--$3.25 near the highway.
