Good AFTERNOON Wrabbits!
Wow
LEE: Yikes on Lu-Anns tumble. Who knew that TOES getting caught in pant legs could cause so much trouble. Thank goodness Lu-Ann didn’t hit her head on something sharp on the way down. Glad she was able to get medical help so quickly. Give her a BIG GENTLE HUG FROM ME! :emoticon 0115 inlove::emoticon 0100 smile:
Thanks for the West Side Story video…..always loved that movie and song!
DAVE: You’re “Handsome” not ‘Pretty’! Ha ha

Back from dentist. Didn’t get a Crown…BUT… did get a Root Canal and temporary filling. Works for me and it was all “painless“. The root-canal was needed because the nerve was right where the huge filling was and if not done now it would be needed very soon and the dentist would have had to do everything all over. He showed me the x-ray and I agreed.

Lawnman Eddie was here, somthe season has started! Joy, Joy!

Lee: Hope your project is moving along on schedule.

That’s all I have for you good people. Enjoy your day. It’s beautiful here.

Somehow the words "mild fracture" seems like an oxymoron, Lee. Glad LuAnn was able to get treated so quickly and hope the brace does its job.
Masters coverage ran over which is why the Billy Joel concert didn't begin at the scheduled time. I wonder if vcrs compensate for delays or if they begin taping at the originally scheduled time and shut off on schedule as well. If they begin
taping at the scheduled time, you probably have several or more minutes of 60 Minutes and are missing several minutes of the Billy Joel concert. Good idea to retape it. Like Dave, I knew most of the songs, but unlike him, I found that I did not know all of the words.
Not sure if Lee's largesse is the reason, but Rita has indicated that she wants us to take an overnight trip to CT to visit the Mohegan Indian tribe. Let's see how long it takes me to burn through those ill gotten gains.;-)

Lee, Glad Lu-Ann is not injured any worse than she was. Thanks for the video, I vaguely remember the song but I do remember 3 or 4 of the others.

Dave. if you want to be purty go ahead and be purty.
Our grass has been cut 3 times K2. I could take 2 or 3 days to cut ours but I couldn't do the edging or trimming. I need to find someone to trim the bushes
Bill, the only song I know the words to is twinkle twinkle little star but only the first two lines. That is about all of the words to songs that I can remember.
It is 75 now and s upposed to get up to 81 or 82 but then drop tomorrow. I'm going to sit outside in the sun for a while then get a cup of coffee while Fay gets her hair cut.
enjoy the rest of the da y

I’ve passed along all of your good wishes. We both appreciate them more than you realize. Fortunately she doesn’t seem to have a great deal of pain. More like discomfort. And bruising. We’ve had the brace off so she can ice the wrist. The brace is hard like a cast and moulded to her. It does up with a “knob and wire” gizmo like some shoes. It resembles this…

Tomorrow is another day. While we assemble the gazebo the ladies will be doing coffee.
Have a good evening friends.

Good evening. It has been a long day but will be in bed in a bit.

Monday at the Dr I requested a referral to a Dermatologist and this morning got a call from them and have an appt tomorrow afternoon. So I will be busy tomorrow. The place is one I had gone to before but since it has been a few years I have to refill some paperwork.

That is a nice looking brace. Glad it can come off for icing.

All have a good night.

Good evening, not quite sure where the week went, but since tomorrow is Friday it's pretty much over now.

Lee, sending my good wishes to LuAnn as well, taking a tumble at our age is a scarey prospect. Glad the damage was not any worse than it was!
I can always be an Old Gal Contractor no need to change up the name. :emoticon 0100 smile:

Kathie, smart move on letting the young folks carry up the patio furniture!

Bill, good luck on the casino trip, hopefully since it's been a while since your last visit there they will be gentle on you & let you take home a few extra shillings in your pocket.

Mike, I don't miss having to cut, trim & weed wack every week or sometimes every 5 days when we get a lot of rain. I do my sister's with her electric mower but I do the front yard one week & the back yard the next. Luckily her front yard isn't huge

Dave, sure glad you were able to round up both pups & get them back home safely! That is a heart stopping event for sure when you realize they have gone missing from the yard.

Add me to the list of bunnies who got their hair cut this week, Jane cut mine for me on Tuesday. She gave me my short summer cut & it turned out really good.

Choir practice tonight & you can really tell it's coming to the end of our season, we had no alto's tonight & only 5 soprano's, 2 tenors & 2 bass's. I think everyone is looking forward to summer break!
That's all from Belleview for tonight!

How's Lu-Ann doing this morning, Lee? You sure gave Hump-Day a new meaning. Humping it to the walk-in clinic, humping it to get X-rays, then yesterday morning humping it to the fracture clinic, and then humping it to the brace store. You guys sure know how to party. Hope it's a quick recovery for Lu-Ann.

K2; Thanks for noticing that I'm "Handsome". Although Mike thinks I'm "purty". :)

Bill; Weekends, especially, drive me nuts because so many regular shows run late because of sports running late. If I'm recording a show like 60 Minutes, and there some game right before it, I automatically record all the shows behind it. And that included the 11 o'clock news on Sunday so I could see the last part of the Billy Joel concert.

KC; When you mention your church and the people there, there is no doubt in my mind that it is your "Happy Place".

Other than grocery shopping we didn't do too much yesterday. This was at the larger grocery store. What caught my attention this trip was the dozens and dozens of brands of salad dressings. And the dozens of different flavors. Sorry, I'm sticking with my favorite, 1,000 Island.

Today, my thinking hasn't gone any further that getting on the stationary bike, and then a breakfast of crust-less chicken pot pie. (With added chicken and rice.)

Good morning.
To this point today Lu-Ann is still sleeping so I’m hoping that her wrist isn’t / hasn’t been giving her trouble overnight.
I’m sure The Lord told Noah it would eventually stop raining too but right now it looks like our 9:00 am gazebo raisin’ could be delayed a tad.
My little battery mower only allows me to do either the front or back lawn at a time Karen. Yesterday the back had grown so quick n thick I had to recharge it for the last two strips. Even without all of the voices, a group in song is still a beautiful choir.
With all of the technology out there I’ve often wondered why PVR’s don’t know enough to adjust for over runs by the previous program. I know I’ve mentioned before Dave but we are in awe of the selection of just about everything in a US grocery store.
Everyone have a fantastic Friday.

Good Morning Wrabbits.
Finally Friday GIF by Winnie Sun
Sure did sneek up FAST this week!
Karen: I’m a ALTO …and you really do need at least (1) in each section to make the practice time work. We have another month of rehearsals and then we’re done for the Summer. Most of it is for the concert on Memorial Weekend. we do throw in some refiew of the Easter songs right now too. YES, our Easter is very late this year 1st Sunday of May.

Lucky you to have a sister who can not only cut your hair, but do a good job of it too! SHORTER CUT in Florida must work for a lot of gals.

Dave:
I try and do BIG grocery shopping from the list on Fri, Sat or Sunday because you get 4x’s 5e fuel points and these days every ten cents off a gallon is helpful. I haven’t done a big shopping in a while and won’t have as many points by the end of the month. I’ve been trying to use up what’s in the freezer and in the cupboards For a change. Mostly buying fresh veggies.
When I went to get a prescription filled last night I picked up a 32 ounce bottle of Half & Half for coffee and the price went up $.30 cents. Crazy hike if you ask me on a small bottle like that. A gallon of milk was much cheaper.
Lee: Hope Lu-Ann’s hand will not give her too much grief. With PK it’s not something she needed to have happen.
It woukd be nice if the Fracture climic and the Brace clinic were in the same bldg.
Now about cutting that grass with one charge for the front and one foe the back. Do you have a EXTRA CHARGER handy or are those kind of things overly expensive to have 2 of?

Rained here so,etime through the night and is TOTALLY DREARY and GLOOMY outside. Sure looks like it might rain again soon.

Mike ask your lawn person if he knows of someone who can cut and clean up your flower beds. Don’t be trying to do that yourself.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!

Because the yard was so wet from last night‘s storm and the winds are so gusty today the guys decided to put off the gazebo until next week.
I have no idea where I’d fall in the various sections of a choir. I’m pretty sure I’m not a soprano and equally sure I’m not in the bass section. Although I have always thought that there is something fishy about why it’s spelled “bass” like the fish but pronounced “base“ like the ball.
This is an older clip of “Choir, Choir, Choir” singing ABBA’s Dancing Queen. The group was started by a couple of guys to bring music and song to everyone. It is 100% audience participation and just goes to show you that a group of voices raised in song can sound like a choir.
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0MgG7-jWyc

My mower takes two batteries Kathie. Do have two chargers but only the two batteries for the mower. I also have three smaller batteries for my drill, weed whacker and blower but they don’t last nearly long enough in the mower. The brace store is conveniently located right across the road from the hospital.
Time for me to either hang the new dining room light or hit the treadmill.

Lee, very glad Lu-Ann isn't in a lot of pain, but ever a small discomfort can be aggravating. I guess I am being an emotional old man, but the joy of the group singing Dancing Queen almos brought tears to my eyes; My younger daughter loves ABBA and has at least one of t heir records.. Dancing Queen is a great song to dance to. Thank you so much for posting it. I will have to send it to my daughter, I am sure she will enjoy and sing along with it. Maybe your a baritone. The brace looks a little like the brace I wore for my carpul tunnel.

K2, I have asked the lawn man if he does work like that and he doesn't. For small jobs I can get a high school student to do the some work. Fay and I went over her shopping list last night for the 4x fuel points. We do that every Thursday evening.
It won't be in t he 80s again for a while. It sure was nice while it lasted. I think I can hang on for 8 days.
Kc, I don't do anything around the house any more but I never did like cutting the lawn. I didn't mind doing the back hedges where it didn't matter if they werent cut straight and the edging but I didn;t like cutting the lawn, even with a rather large lawn mower.

Well, the SUN finally came out! BUT it's WINDY as all get out and basically COLD out there. 57

I've been working on sorting out a thousand pieces of papers that are stuck into the slots of the Phone/Address book. It's older than dirt and it's just time to SLOWLY work on transferring numbers to the new book I've had for at least 8 years just sitting in the drawer waiting for it's turn! Ha Ha.
What a pain in the butt job. And not too mention emotional at times. I had a entrance card from the last time we were at Pat & Bert's place. They gave you a card so you could get into the gate! Hard to look at their names on the card, but I just can't keep things like that much more. Also, had a piece of paper with my late Brother George's handwriting on it with some phone numbers he wrote down for me years and years ago. Held it in my hands for awhile and then just had to toss it into the throw away pile. Amazing how things like that can TRIGGER you emotions.

I've been talking with my car dealer and I think I'll be trading in the Corsair for a new one sometime next week. Just not sure which color to get this time around. White again or maybe a RED one. The dealership will write off the last 2 payments and there are some nice rebates right now. One came out on Monday that's good for 2 weeks only for an additional $750 off. Every little bit helps. It's amazing how much more VEHICLES have gone UP in price in just 2 years.

Lee: That's one nice song you posted. Yup, a bunch of voices and it sounds like they practiced for months!
MIKE..... I know how much you and Fay loved your dance times together with your friends. Tap your toes to the video and keep the memories alive.

By the way LEE.......good decision by the OGC group to delay the build job. The WIND would drive you all crazy as it blew away your hard work.

Good evening, I think summer has arrived in Florida! It was in the low 90's today & will be all weekend, I see some pool time coming up in the very near future!

Kathie, good luck with the new ride shopping! Personally I'd go for the Red car, always liked & wanted a shiny red car but the closest I ever got was my burgandy mustang convertible. I AM lucky that Jane doesn't mind cutting my hair does a good job with it too!

Lee, hoping that LuAnn continues to heal quickly & as pain free as possible! Great music video you posted, I did notice a few people with glasses of "adult" beverage which always seems to help one get in the "spirit" of singing.

Mike, I've never really minded cutting my grass & once I got the battery powered mower it was really easy to take care of. But it's nice to reach the age where if you don't like or want to do something you don't HAVE to do it.

Dave, you would be right in thinking I've found my Happy Place, the people are some of the kindest & friendliest I've ever met. It's not a perfect church, but if someone asks you how you are, they really do care & will try their best to help if you are having a problem.

The choir director tried having the tenors sing the alto part for this Sunday's song but after several less than ear pleasing run throughs he decided to just go with the 3 parts, Soprano, Tenor & Bass. If our 1 alto is there on Sunday she can cover the alto part really well as she's a strong singer. Our other alto is on a cruise till the middle of next month.
Finished up a couple more little projects in the guest room & made a cherry dump cake for the ladies mini retreat tomorrow. But since "dump cake" doesn't sound very appealing I call it my cherry cobbler cake & it's gotten rave reviews at the last 2 pot luck dinners.
Jane has officially dropped out of our Sept cruise & Barb moved her reservation over to my balcony cabin. Barb snores like a freight train so I don't see me getting a lot of sleep over the 5 nts we'll be gone. Jane will be staying at my house to take care of my Ginger & Barb's Spot kitty along with Hansel Jane's dog.

Nothing much else to report from Belleview, so have a great evening all!

Good afternoon. Well the appt to get the stitches out went well. She had no problem getting them out and then she gave me exercises, most of which I can do pretty good right now. Then I got me some lunch since I did not have a lot of time before my next appt. I got there in enough time to fill out the paperwork and found that my appt was not at the office I thought but rather one that I could not get to in time so the appt was cancelled and now I have an appt next week in Stuart. So after getting home I sent and email complaining the person I talked with yesterday never said a thing about which office just who I had seen before and set an appt with him. As much as I liked Richard next week I will ask who to ask for in the Post St Lucie office as it is so much closer.

All have a good day.

Well never did post this so doing it now.

Fantastic video of that audience sounding like a choir, Lee. Sounds like a fine choir to me. Bummer that you are getting delayed putting that gazebo together till next week. But, Mother Nature does call the shots.

Mike; Hope your younger daughter enjoys that ABBA video as much as you. Wish I could find some kid or high school-er to do some weeding around here for me.

I don't envy you one bit K2 updating that phone/address book. That's going to take you a long time even if you keep at it, a bit every day. Sucks to be you, having a chore like that. I too vote for the red car.

You are so lucky KC, being able to think that summer has arrived where you live. We are at the other end of the spectrum. Today's high temperature here will only be in the mid to upper 40's. Heck it was in the 70's on the day we had the solar eclipse.

On yesterday's news they had an interesting story about palindromes. (That's a word, phrase or number that reads the same backwards or forwards. Like madam, racecar or mom.)

At least for today and a few more, our date is a palindrome. 42024. Sunday same thing for 4-21-24, as is Monday.....

That is SO cool!

Good Saturday morning.
Not much on tap for today. I don’t think at this point anyway.

RED gets my vote too Kathie.
I must agree about “dump cake” Karen. I like your descriptive choice of words a lot more.
I thought it would be easy to find kids wanting to get paid to do weed Dave. Oh, you said “weeding”. Never mind.
I hope your daughter enjoys the ABBA tune Mike. Those fellas that started “Choir, Choir, Choir” were in Windsor while we were in FL. Had we been home I think it would have been a fun evening.
Where has your financial advisor suggested you “invest” your two bucks from The Patriots wager Bill? I can hear “Don’t spend it all in one place”. Can you even get a lottery ticket for $2 these days?
A bright 38F start to the day. It’s gonna be cold down by The River this morning.
My friends, all of you have a fantastic day.

Good morning. Only plan for today is watching NASCAR and will be cooking the ham for dinner, I hope I can get it in the oven myself but of course will have Bruce take it out.

Yesterday I tried wearing regular sandals and after 2 hours the foot was hurting again. Glad I did have my slip ins with me so I could change.

BRRR.........40F right now and bright, but NOT SUNNY. Just bright outside.
All those folks that bought "flowers" to plant are nursing them in their garages. Flower nurseries must HATE gloomy SATURDAY's. Bad for business. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Dave: I was never a PRINCE FAN, but I did like this song. I'd never be able to get in and out of a Corvette these days. So use to sliding into my SUV. Even a Sedan would seem too low.

Love that you all like the RED color for a new vehicle, but I think I've CROSSED that off of the list. It might just be another boring WHITE car. When you think about it the only time I pay attention to the color of the car is when I'm looking for it in the PARKING LOT! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: When you're sitting in the car driving you really can't see the color outside.

Lee: Love the "Funky" light fixture. It goes well with the other new fixture you put up.

Karen: I need to send you a pair of my EAR PLUGS for your cruise. Art snores and if I didn't have them I'd NEVER get any sleep. Remind me if I forget!

Out of here for now. Have a fun day in spite of the HOT or COLD temps in our area.
