With marshmallows? Askin’ for a friend. ;)
Very kind of Pamela to help you with your microwave problems. Good things happen to good people.
No marshmallows so I used whip cream instead :) I consider myself fully blessed with wonderful friends both online & here in Belleview!
My computer was being wonky earlier so I was saving as I went and I see a few things were repeated & out of order, oh well, better than losing a whole post with the click of a finger.

MIKE: Thinking of you and hope you feel better soon. Glad you told us it wasn’t a medical issue. I’m thinking it has something to do with your eyes or computer. Take care!

Karen: Good for you getting a microwave to use for now.
Who knows it might turn out to be a real winner!

Oh lucky you Mike. It looks like you're the unlucky Bunny to get the worst of winter weather today. Let us know how much snow you got. The worst of winter weather is that damn ice. Either on the roads or where we're trying to walk. If I can find it, I'm going to give that Mountain-Greene Coffee a try. Hope to see you again sooner than later.

KC; I'm betting that this old used microwave your friend gave you will probably work right and last you for years. A child-lock on a microwave door? Never heard of such a thing.

From your pictures K2, you've got lots of cold but very little snow. Except for the roads, around here everything has been covered in 2 to 3 inches of snow in recent days. And will stay that way for at least another week. Congratulations on the Lion's win.

Sitting in a warm spa under sunshine, drinking wine. Yes Lee, you are sure slipping easily into the Florida vacationer life style.

A mill around sharply day for us. Kathi cancelled her appointment for a perm today. The lady was nice enough to let her know yesterday that she has a bad cold.

Good morning.
Thanks for the heads up Mike. You know we’d worry and miss you if you suddenly stopped popping by.
Seems that your Lions were the only really top team to put a “W” on the board over the weekend Kathie. I tried looking on our doorbell camera to see how much, if any, snow we have. At home of course. There’s none here. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I just figured Karen you had posted things twice, as the Irish would say, “to be sure to be sure”.
Slipping into the Florida life style seems to come easy after all the years we’ve been spending a few weeks here Dave. Very nice of the hair lady to let Kathi know she has a cold. Besides, how would the driving have been today?
Ava and I saw our first armadillo on our early walk this morning. She looks at it then at me with a “what the heck is that?” Look on her face.
Time to get a move on. We have breakfast reservations at 9:20.
You all have a great day and if you have slick conditions don’t go out unless you absolutely have to.

Christmas Eve Scene GIF
It's that time of year again! "Merry Christmas EVE.
(Orthodox Christmas Eve that is)
NO presents, just a lot of church time. Some families do wait until Jan 7th to open their presents, but most do it on Dec 25th.

Prayers needed for Mark's brother, DAVE. He's have heart surgery today. Seems he had chest pains on the way to work the other day. Came home, yes the MAN DIDN'T go to a doctor or hospital, and by morning they were worse and he went to the hospital. Never had heart issues. I guess he has some blockages and they'll be working on that today.

Lee: I know by now you're eating that YUMMY breakfast you guys get every year. Pace yourself!

MIKE: Thinking of you buddy.

Karen: So how's the microwave doing today? Is it the size you were looking at? Hope your temps get back in the more normal range. Don't want to disappoint your Canadian guests! :canada:

DAVE: Is it tomorrow (Tues) that you go to the Dr's. If so, hope it's all good news for you.

Out of here for now. Need to warm up my coffee.

For sure we’ll keep Mark’s Dave in our thoughts and prayers Kathie. Fingers crossed he (Dave) is up and about soon.
Christmas trees and palm trees. There’s two things that don’t often appear in the same sentence. The Poly and Grand Floridian still had their decorations up. Maybe for Orthodox Christmas?
How’s the weather “up north” today? There’s two things weather service here sent out wind and cold warnings. I guess it really is all about what you’re used to.
Take care.

Good evening, started out bright & sunny this morning but very windy, ended with rain & gloomy grey skies. Oh well, at least it did NOT snow!

Kathie, will keep Mark's brother in my prayers! And Merry Christmas Eve to you. Not sure if you saw the livestream from St. Mary's on Sunday, but it was working pretty good this week.

Mike, hopefully your absence will be brief & not due to anything to serious!

Lee, how was breakfast this morning other than "expensive?

Dave, that was nice of the lady to give Kathi a heads up about being sick, not everyone would be so considerate! Sending good thoughts for your Dr. visit tomorrow!

The new microwave is working fine so far, it's an older Kenmore model, 1100 watts I believe which is bigger than I need but the price was to good to pass up. The turntable is making some noise & a google search said it's probably the turntable motor, which according to YouTube is easy to replace. What's NOT easy is finding the right motor for it, so far no luck finding one compatible with the model I have. Guess I will just keep my fingers crossed that maybe it just needs to "warm up" after not being used for a while. In the old days we didn't even have those turntables so I don't think I'll ditch the microwave just because it quits turning

Checking in to see if Kathie has any news about Dave.

How was breakfast Karen? Tonga Toast (foreground) and Macadamia Pancakes with a press pot of Kona coffee hit the spot! It covered breakfast, lunch and we had a very light dinner of Boar’s Head turkey on a small Hawaiian roll. That kind of made it reasonably priced. Hope you can find the right motor for the microwave! I also hope, in light of the temps here, you have a good supply of hot chocolate and whipped cream.
See you all in the morning.

Just lost a nice post. Forgot to SIGN IN FIRST.

UPDATE: Mark’s brother Dave had 2 Stents out in today during surgery. Mark said he was doing good. No other heart issues were found.
He’s lucky he didn’t have a stroke after waiting so many hours to get checked out at the hospital.

Moral of the story is IF YOU HURT DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT OR SAY SOMETHING.

Thanks for your concern & prayers everyone!

Lee: The breakfast looked yummy. And nice that you had some for lunch too!
How’s Ava doing in her new neighborhood?
We’ll be below freezing for the next 2 weeks according to the weather guys up here, but little to no big snow! Whew!

Karen: I worry about you messing with that Microwave motor. Those things have radiation or some kind of Rays that can’t be good if you get exposed to them. To, just little old me worrying about my Hutch-mate! Be careful. :emoticon 0152 heart:

Fr Dave: Hope your Dr’s appt hies smoothly.

Off to church on Tues morning for Serbian Orthodox Christmas.

LEE: This was just posted by our local weatherman!

From Channel 4:
It is cold tonight, but the coldest feel this week will come on Thursday morning with wind chills from 5 to 10 below zero.

Now that should make you appreciate your temps big time! Hs ha.

Merry Christmas, K2! And all the other Orthodox believers. Hope you have a cushioned seat at church. :) If not take a small pillow.

Hope that Mike is doing OK. From the weather reports I've seen for his neck of the woods, it's possible he's gotten eight to 10 inches of snow.

In Massillon yesterday all the schools were closed because we got a bit more snow. Totaling 5-6 inches on the ground now. Lawn guy came out again and plowed the driveway and shoveled the walk to the front porch.

Today it'll only be in the lower 20's but no new snow expected.

Good thing since I have the doctor's appointment to get the catheter out. (My money says they'll be putting it back in early in the afternoon. And maybe I'll find out what plan "B" will be.)

So far so good on your microwave, KC. The first microwave we had didn't have a turntable either. I don't think you can buy one like that today.

Why are you Canadians picking on that nice young lad Justin Trudeau, Lee? He says he going to quit being Prime Minister. It's hard to believe that he's had that position for 9 years. Rots-a-ruck on replacing him.

40F on our morning walk with wind chill right around freezing. Residents getting ready for work were bundled up like Eskimos!
A very Merry Christmas to you Kathie. I’ll have to play the video with sound once Lu-Ann is up. We ate our breakfast at The Poly. Lu-Ann left about 1/2 pancake. Stuff like that never tastes the same reheated. Then we walked. A lot. Well over 11000 steps. Ava has no problems adapting to her winter community. I’m sure, from the way she confidently walk around, she remembers it.
I hope everything works out at the doctor’s Dave. Although I sense that you are expecting Plan B will come into play. I personally like Justin Trudeau and what he’s tried to do for Canada as a whole. But there’s a lot of people that only seem to look at the small picture and what he’s done for them personally. I do have concerns with the leader of the Conservative Party but suspect he will be our next Prime Minister.
I was surprised that microwave motors seemed so reasonably priced Karen. I saw a couple at appliance parts stores around $70. Like Kathie said, just be careful if you’re mucking about with the parts.
I do send out a good morning to you Mike. Hope you’re reading along every now and again as you enjoy a coffee.
A good day for indoor activities. Lu-Ann would like to go to Bealls (how you folks get “Bells“ out of that is beyond us) and maybe Marshall’s. I’ll drive.
Have a good day everyone.
