Thank goodness that inauguration is finally over. Boy does the Buffoon like to ramble on and on and on.

Pretty much the same speech he gave the first time he was elected.......The country is in crappy shape and ONLY HE is able to fix it.

K2; You mentioned that your wanted to see Melania's outfit. I'm in no way up to date on what is fashionable, but that hat of hers looked like she should be driving a gondola around the Venice canals.

Another cold start to the day. A couple of degrees below zero. But wait boys & girls, tomorrow at this time it'll be 12 below zero.

Ya'll have a good day no matter what the temperature or who the President is.

How's about that Ohio State/Notre Dame football game? I liked the way it ended. The one bright spot in an otherwise lousy day.

Dave: I agree with you totally on Melania's HAT. Reminds me of Pizza Hut Logo!

And she wore it ALL DAY and into the early evening events. Finally took it off for the "BALLS"! I did like her dress for the Balls. Other than that the village idiot proved himself totally "out of touch" with all his signing and rambling. He's a "Performer" not a President in my eyes. It's all about HIM.
And that Bill he signed, that still has to get approved, about changing the name of
Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America is about the craziest thing I've ever heard of.:eek:

You all have a good day. And for heaven's sake STAY INSIDE and be warm.

Karen, I hope you and your family are all right. I won't bug you anymore, but know that we do care about you and miss you in the Hutch. :emoticon 0115 inlove:

And the good news is, it'll get up to freezing by Sunday. The bad news is that it's 12 below zero right now. Plus there's snow accumulated in northern Florida, and even New Orleans. A winter to remember.

Wish I could just stay home today, but I've got a doctor's appointment to have my prostate, bladder and urethra all checked out. The worst part is having to do an enema prior to my visit. Which I've got to get accomplished before 7 AM.

Pretty much all the schools are closed because of the cold.

Our local Mini-Mart had to shut down their drive-through because it's door kept freezing shut.

And that's about it for news from here.

Another wet start to the morning. AccuWeather says it’s 41F but feels like 33F. At home it’s -2F and feels like -17F.
I can’t believe the pictures of snow in the south that I’m seeing. Coupled with the extreme cold that is reported just about everywhere. This truly seems to be a once in a lifetime weather event.
”Keep your friends close and your enemas closer” Dave. I sure hope they are able to get your plumbing sorted out.
I do hope that Fay’s tests are routine Mike. It’s nice to have helping hands around to get to appointments.
I’m going to go out on a limb and guess any biking Art is doing is on his indoor rollers Kathie.
I will sign off but not before I add that I hope all is well with you Karen and your family.
Please folks, with the extreme cold, bundle up if you have to go out and use extra care if you are out and about.

Snow in New Orleans and
Destin, Fl amount other places.
It’s too cold to snow here.
Like Lee posted it’s -17 degrees up here. Brrr cold. I just don’t ever remember it being this cold.

I went outside to put peanuts in the feeder for the Blue Jays. On the way back inside my thumb started to stick to the medal door handle.

Mike: Hope all is good with Fay. That’s a lot of big time X-rays.

So I read that the village idiot rolled back the Medicare & Medicaid drug prices Pres Biden initiated. Hard to believe this is allowed. I wonder if that includes Insulin prices.

Okay Wrabbits I’m out of here. Time to do some bill paying over here.

STAY WARM.

DAVE: Hope you did good at the doctors appt.

Linda went home about 15 minutes ago, sort of quiet now. It is supposed to warm up t his week end.
We are quiet a bit colder than you Dave, generally we are pretty close temp wise. Ihope all your test went okay.
I hope the blue jays enjoyed the peanuts K2.
Aren't you glad you are in Fl Lee.?

We miss The Jays and squirrels at The Navy Yard Kathie. But with the temperatures I don’t think we’d be down there Kathie.
Yes Mike, as cool as it has been in FL we are glad we’re here. There was a video of a fellow using his leaf blower to blow the snow off his pool enclosure. The screens aren’t built to support that weight.
Sleep tight everyone.

How the weather forecasters like to put a happy spin on their forecasts.

It was minus 12 degrees here yesterday morning with a windchill of minus 25 degrees. On the local news yesterday they said, "It's going to warm up. We'll soon get up to freezing". What they didn't mention is that it won't happen till the weekend. Right now it's 12 degrees, so I guess that we are suppose to think of it as a 24 degree jump in temperature.

I learned something new about Florida yesterday, KC. I forget what news network it was, but they said the entire State of Florida only has 9 snowplows. I'd bet that Massillon has that many.

By the sounds of it Lee, you could have made a few bucks down there in the Panhandle if only you'd have packed your snow-blower.

Don't put your tongue on the flagpole, K2!

Sadly Mike, my prostate test didn't go well yesterday. And for the 3rd time when the catheter was removed I was unable to urinate on my own. So that thing is back in. And now I've got surgery in a couple of weeks. (It's not every day that a camera is shoved up my flutter-valve and a different camera is sent up my ding-a-ling.)

There's a big long name for that surgery, but most people know it as the "Roto-Rooter" surgery. They pretty much cut a wider canal through the prostate for the urine to travel through it easier. A one night hospital stay.

Do I know how to party, or what?

And now for the bird poop story. It was nutsy cold yesterday, but most of the day the sun was out.

When we got back from the doctor's office visit yesterday afternoon, when we pulled in the drive we both noticed lots and lots of small spots on the front porch and the walkway to the driveway. So when we got out of the car we went to see what these spots were.

It turned out to be gobs of bird-poop. What the heck is that all about???

We THINK we figured it out.

Kathi had mentioned early that when she checked on the mail earlier in the day that a bunch of birds flew away when she opened up the front door, a couple of times.

Below freezing temperatures, but the sun warmed up the cement porch and sidewalk, and the birds were just sitting on the cement to stay warm.

Sitting and shi##ing. :)

I'll have to ask Kathi if she took a picture.

A balmy 41F here this morning. On a warmer morning I’d add the palms are swaying in the breeze. Nope, this morning they’re blowin’ in the wind.
Not the news we were hoping for from your adventure yesterday Dave. But only you, my friend, could put somewhat of a humorous spin on recounting the visit. Let’s all hope this procedure rectifies everything. Crazy that even the birds are trying to find any way to stay warm.
You all enjoy the day as best as you can. See you later.

Dave, are you sure you are in Massillon, that sounds like N Dakota. Nice of you to warm up the cement for the birds. I hope the surgery takes care of the problem.
Lee, I never considered 41 degrees balmy, nippy maybe.
It is warming up a little, up to 17 now.

We were at The Grand Floridian for breakfast. With the rain we didn’t spend any time wandering the grounds. We saw a bride who, or whose parents, had likely spent THOUSANDS of dollars for a dream Disney wedding. It was overcast and raining. It was cold for the style of gown she was wearing. We felt so bad for her, her family and the whole wedding party. You could see the disappointment on her face. Lu-Ann and I had a day with weather like this 44 1/2 years ago. But that was almost to be expected in late October in Ontario. On the bright side people told us it was good luck to have rain on your wedding day. Well, through the years, we sure have been lucky.
On another note I can’t seem to get Chuck Berry’s “My Ding-a-Ling“ out of my mind. Wonder why that is Dave?
Have a good evening everyone.

Compared to yesterday, I've got hardly anything to gab about this morning.

Hi there KC!

That Grand Floridian sounds lie a giant place, Lee. (Which means expensive.) It sucks for those newlyweds to have the one day they wanted to be nice, be a disappointment for them in the weather department. But it may actually make it more memorable.

K2; It seems like the Buffoon wakes up every morning and makes a list of things to do he knows will irritate people. And is very good at it.

How's your white/grey car doing Mike? If like around here, most cars will be that color to a degree from all the salt they use on the roads. And most streets look like they've been painted that color too.

Thanks to our recent cold spell, 80% of Lake Erie is now ice covered. STILL not a good time, Bubba, to get on there with your pick-em-up truck to show off to your girlfriend. :)
