Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good morning everyone.
Great, not only do we worry about Karen, our Kathie went missing yesterday too.
Yesterday’s 41F was balmy compared to this morning’s “nippy” 39F Mike.
I have decided that if I can’t say anything nice about The US President I simply shouldn’t say anything. Which should take one topic off my table for the next four years.
Many of the vehicles with tags from the north and west have that same two tone paint job Dave. It seems nobody is arriving in Florida without signs of driving through brined or salted roads.
We hope that, not only the bride we saw, but all of the other wedding parties have been able to make the best of their special day over the past cold, wet week.
Have a good Friday everyone.

Perhaps this should be “House of Blue Skies”. Thank you Florida.
And thank you Kathie for popping by.

I guess it is a little too cold to ice skate on lake Erie Dave. If my memory is holding true, we use to sled ride no matter how cold but we weren't that far north. It did get below or near below zero. I don't think fairfield uses any salt on the road but in t he early spring t he roads look grey. Do you remember when coal cinders were used// I meant to say, we aren't as cold here as you.
Sorry for the newly weds Lee, maybe they will have nicer weather later on. I think you asked about Fay, she had check ups for her breast cancer and heart failure. All is well.
Its past time for my coffee, join me any one.

That’s good to hear about Fay Mike. Thank you.
I may join you in a late cup of coffee.
G’nite everyone.

I spoke with KC last evening. Always a joy hearing her happy cheery voice.

She asked me to say HI from her to all of you. Said that she'd pop on when things quiet down for her.

Between her sisters and her church she's been busier than a one armed paper hanger. She's volunteered, and been volunteered for more jobs at the church. But she really likes doing it and really loves the people that attend her church. So she's crunched for time.

I just hope that she doesn't burn out with all the things she needs to do now.

It was good talking to her.

Remember me mentioning all the ice now on Lake Erie? On the news yesterday there was a story about a freighter that was stuck in the ice. And the Coast Guard needed to send out an ice-breaker to get it loose.

Mike; Happy to hear the good news about Fay's check-ups. Can't remember the use of coal cinders on snowy or icy roads. Which makes me wonder if it made vehicles black?

I hate to be a dummy Lee, although I can be very good at it, but what is that in the picture you posted?

Glad to hear from you yesterday, K2. It's unlike you to disappear for very long.

A bit warmer today. Although it's starting off at 10 degrees. But still not making it up to freezing by the end of the day.

It’s 5:06 am on Sat.
I’ve been BINDGE watching
“Doc Martin” series. It’s addictive as all get out.
Simple English type chatter, so you need yo
Have the Sub Titles on.
I’ll be watching the dun come up if I don’t go to bed after this post. Ha Ha

DAVE: I’m so glad you talked to Karen. She does stretch herself thin at times.
We all miss her when she doesn’t write something in the

HUTCH JOURNAL!
Hope your “eyes” are doing better for you. Take care! :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Okay I’m out of here and going to make my way to bed.

What a dandy start to this Saturday morning! Weather aside (34F) for now of course.
I’m so glad all is well with Karen. I know Dave, that you let her know we all worry about her and indeed each other. That is a picture of the water tower outside of The House of Blues at Disney Springs. I was waiting for my Sweetie and thought that the weathered building, palm tree and bright blue sky made for a neat photo.
So that was you I passed in the hall of the hutch at 5:16 Kathie. I was just getting up as you were headed to bed. Lu-Ann and I loved Doc Martin. A wonderful cast of quirky characters and story lines.
Our friends who are cast members (all Disney employees are cast members) sent a note and asked if we’d like to pop over the The Magic Kingdom to see the 8:00 pm fireworks last evening. They are allowed to pass in up to three people AND they get free parking. We managed to ride a couple of the old non thrill rides before we found a spot on Main Street to watch the spectacular lights, music and fireworks. A fun evening for sure.

A very nice picture Lee, glad you posted it. It's strange to see people in their jackets while in Florida but that happened to us one year, had to go all the way down to Key West. before it got warm. That was nice of your friends to take you to the fire works, the free parking was the icing on the cake. I think we saw the lights and fireworks the last time we were at Disney.
Glad you talked to Kc Dave, I sure wish I had her energy. I don't know about the vehicles turning black but the top of the snow was black after a day. We had some coal mines in and near Wheeling, everything was heated with coal so there would be a lot of free cinders and we had a lot of hills. I have an auger with a 4 inch bit Dave. When I lived in S Eastern Ohio, I heard some of the teenagers would spin their cars on the ice on the ponds. I always thought it was pick em up truck.
It got up into the 40s today, I bet the mail deliveriers appreciated that. Michael and I saw one doing his route in shorts and it was down in the 30s or 40s. It will be in the 30s S and M then in the mid to upper 40s after that.
I'm sitting here watching Pirates of the Carribbean. I think I saw it before but can't remember.

Good Sunday morning, Bunnies! Hope it's a good one for all of you.

We hit freezing today. Problem is, it happened around 1 AM. And by the end of the day it'll be 10 degrees cooler. But about a zero chance of any rain or snow today.

At least we get some NFL football to watch today. YIPPEE!

There's the 3 PM Commander's/Eagles game. I'll probably watch some of it, but I don't really care who wins it.

But I AM rooting for the Buffalo-Bills in the Bills/Chief's game at 6:30. (Although my Arizona granddaughter is a die-hard Chiefs fan.) And the Bill's are the underdogs. Chief's are favored to win by 2 points.

Thanks for explaining what that picture was, Lee. Yes, it is a "neat" photo. Disney does a fine job with everything including their fireworks.

K2; You went back to bed yesterday morning around 5 AM??? Gee, I can't imagine why. :) Don't think I've ever heard of that "Doc Martin" TV show.

With a 4 inch bit, you could probably do some ice fishing, Mike.

Nothing much planned for today. Kathi does want to drop off our plastic bottles at the recycling dumpsters, about a 1/2 mile away.

A quick good morning.
It was nice enough to sit by the pool in the sun yesterday afternoon for a bit. Even if we did still have heavier shirts on!
We like the Pirates of the Caribbean movies too Mike. We also enjoy the ride of the same name in The Magic Kingdom. They have added a likeness of Captain Jack Sparrow in some of the sets in the ride. Your mail carrier must have thought they worked for UPS! Aren’t they known for wearing shorts in all kinds of weather?
I’ll be pulling for The Bills this evening too Dave. Do I sense a slight wager between you and your daughter. She does know that you are “The Master”, doesn‘t she? Yes, Disney sure does things right in everything they do.
Speaking of which, we got an unexpected invitation to go to The Animal Kingdom this morning. We‘re not thrill ride people but Art looking forward to the safari, A Bug’s Life and just wandering through the park. Our friends are so generous with their time and passing us in. I best get my butt in gear! We pick them up in about 45 minutes.
Hi to the rest. Back later but all of you have a wonderful Saturday.

Bless Happy Sunday GIF by GIPHY Studios 2021

SUNNY and BRIGHT here in Michigan today. Still 29F, but that's like a Heat-Wave compared to last week.

Lee/Lu-Ann: Great picture for sure. (except for the Down Jackets) Nice to have generous friends to invite you to Disney. Enjoy!
Have you found that restaurants and groceries are more expensive this year than they were last year on your trip? Just wondering.

Dave: We'll be cheering for the Kansas Chiefs. I cheer for them because we have friends that live in Kansas City and our choir once toured their stadium when it was first opened! Ha Ha. Now isn't that a great REASON to CHEER for Kansas. Yup!

I went big grocery shopping yesterday and spent $153 and my coupon savings were $49 bucks. I think of Kathi's son and having to feed all those children and what their grocery bill must be. CRAZY comes to mind.

Dave: Doc Martin is addictive. I have Comcast and get to stream all the SERIES, and there are tons, by going to ON DEMAND. Not sure how you would get to see the series, but you'd have to start from Season 1, to get the best of how the story line goes. You could spend 12 hours of the day or more watching this series. Ha Ha.

Wondering how Rita is doing in Florida. I might have to send her a message and ask her! I just hope she's not DRIVING AROUND too much. She has a tendency to crash into other cars! YIKES.

Mike: Do you have a favorite Football team you'll be rooting for today? Wishing you and Fay a pleasant Sunday.

I filled up my Pill container for this week. That gizmo is the best thing I ever bought for pill control.

Waiting for a few Bananas to get a tad more ripe and I'll be making Art a Banana Nut Bread. The man loves his sweets. And lucky for him he doesn't gain weight from eating it all.

I have a nephew that had Stage 3 Colon cancer surgery and is now home. He'll have to have Chemo and Radiation once he heals. He hates doctors and hospitals and I just hope he listens to the doctors orders.

Then I have a niece in Chicago area that just had emergency Gallbladder surgery on Monday and might come home on Monday. Seems like my family members are not taking very good care of themselves. Wishing them well.
Always Something!

Out of here for now. Enjoy your day folks.

And with that, we’re home. A dandy morning at Animal Kingdom. We did the safari ride and the stage production of Lion King. Simply amazing! We only waited about 20 minutes at each attraction. Both were almost 30 minutes long. A good return on wait times. At 8:15 the wait time for Pandora was 140 minutes!
I hope your niece and nephew do OK after their surgeries Kathie.
Grocery prices are out of control here too. Especially when we have to convert the cost to CDN dollars. We average $800 CDN a month at home. We’re already at $1071 CDN here this month plus we have eaten out a lot more than home. Lu-Ann’s Grampie always said “if you didn’t have to eat you’d be rich”. The old fella was on to something.
I may dangle my feet in the pool. After 13,000+ steps already today they deserve it.
:)
