Lee: Might be time to think about investing in a Generator! Those BIG ones are about $7,000- 10,000 here in the STATES. But you could get a portable one at a fraction of the cost. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Well, Mr Art is now TICKED OFF at his "Cute Bunnies" that run around the yard. They have chewed off some of his Glad plants and Coneflower plants. He was TICKED OFF enough to get in the car and go over to our ACE Hdwe and buy some RABBIT REPELLENT SPRAY. Ha Ha. Now he knows why I can't stand the Squirrels that have eaten holes in my lovely Arborvitae Shrubs. Can't wait to see if his SPRAY works. (between me and you......I doubt anything keeps those bunnies from chewing what they want.)

Out of here. I had a fun day outside. Spraying down the deck and chairs and cushions and pathway from all the POLLEN. The Fertilizer company was here and the guy had pollen all over his head and shoulders and back. I got a whisk out and brushed him off. Felt sorry for the guy. He appreciated it. Says his allergies are driving him nuts from all the pollen.

Later guys. Taking a few things over to Jill's sub sale in the morning to try and get rid of them. Slowly.........very slowly.......that basement is going to be DEATH READY one of these days! Ha Ha.

Pat have fun with the family coming to town.

Good Saturday morning Rabbits!

Before I forget to mention it to you again, a few days ago RCCL FINALLY removed the $4,000 charge from our credit card. They goofed charging us for our next April cruise instead of paying for it with our accumulated cruise credits.

Oh phooey BB, no romance novel from you describing the wild and passionate time you and Bert had after your date. Work on it. You're old, but you ain't dead yet.
1f601.png

Yes KC I will still hang out with this motley crew even if I win a million dollars. No other motley crew would have me. Hope you slept better last night.

K2, pleased to hear that you are making good use of your covered deck during this sunny & warm spell we are having. Sure hope all the pollen isn't causing you too many problems. Some peoples allergies are going ape now, and they pretty much have to stay inside.

Question Lee; Are you sure you paid your electric bill?
1f61c.png

Nothing much planned around here today. Hope to get on the treadmill for a slow stroll. Oddly, my walking is easier on that than just walking. And the reason for that is because I can balance better because of the holding bars on both sides of it.

Either today or tomorrow Kathi wants to visit the family of 6 kids. Another one of the kids is big enough now to make her cement paver that'll have her name, date and handprint on it. And she'll decorate it with colored glass of different colors.

Saturday Night Party GIF by myHQ

Let's all get out and have a FUN DAY!

I loaded the car with a 6x8 ft foyer carpet that I still totally love, but the colors are just not for me anymore. Let's hope somebody will think of it as a STEAL DEAL and buy it. I offered it to my niece for FREE and she said they'd would have to pass. You know that's just a nice way of saying: ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND....NO WAY! HA hA

Dave: Good you keep up doing the Treadmill gig. Keep it going. I just can't wait until the temps hit at least 65-68F and I can get on my bike and ride around the neighborhood and on that new stretch of paved sidewalk that was put in last year about 2 miles from here.

Karen: Hope you can get into the water with your Poolie friends. Not sure that's going to happen. I think the temps got a tad cooler over in Florida the last few days. At least they did on the Gulf coast. Art told me to tell you "GOOD for KAREN" taking on her driveway. He said with all you do it should turn out just fine! :)

Total confusion on the NEW MASKS rules from CDC and your local states rules. Michigan is one of the few states saying nothing changes until July 1. We'll see how long that lasts. I'm wearing my MASK when I want to, which is INSIDE stores and going inside to pick-up carry-outs, etc. The thought that SOON our STATE will open up to letting MORE people inside RESTAURANTS and SEATING PEOPLE CLOSER together is what bugs me. It's people like the guy across the street from me that isn't getting vaccinated that scare me. He could pass something onto a already vaccinated person and that person might just be the one who get's the Covid . Sure you don't get it as BAD, but it can still mess up your system and you
'could' have lasting things wrong with you. It's just someone I don't want to be around. Now if HE HADN'T TOLD ME that he and his wife were not getting the vaccine I would never know and most likely carry on conversation with him and her. Now I'll have to be distant. But HOW MANY OTHERS like him are their around me?? Ha Ha....yes that's the big mystery because these NON-BELIEVERS are everywhere! Let me just say.....I don't wish any of them to get sick and have to die from their way of thinking. End of my rant. Everybody has the right to do what they want.

Have a fun and safe day folks. I'm off to Jill's to try and sell a few things! It's a start in cleaning out the dang basement.

Quick good morning before I have to start getting things ready for our company. The good news is that I didn't get a phone call canceling their visit this week, but still keeping my fingers crossed. It's a beautiful day, so we will definitely be outside.

Kathie - I hope you sell all that you're bringing to Jill's house. I hate garage sales and was glad we really didn't have anything to sell at the last one. People want you to practically give things away here and no matter how cheaply you price something, they want it cheaper.

Dave - That's great that Kathi is going to the grandkid house to make another one of those stepping stones. Great memories. If they keep having more kinds, you'll be making stepping stones forever!!!
I'll have to think on that romance novel!

Well, let me run and get to work. Depending on when they leave, I'll try to get back. We're going to a wine tasting tonight here in Bellalago. Great company from Tampa brings the wines and the Grille chef is preparing the tastings to go with the wines. We always end up buying a couple of bottles. This time they are featuring California wines, so should be interesting.

Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone!! :)

From "The Sterile Cuckoo" staring a young Liza Minelli.
Yesterday was just frustrating with the electric situation. They were replacing the
equipment in the green hydro boxes but kept cutting power as they added to and rerouted the grid.
Now, the good news, if you can call it that, was that the lab redid my blood work and everything was where it should be. If not better. Kinds makes me question my confidence in the lab though.

We always end up buying a couple of bottles.
Only a couple of bottles Momma Bunny? Enjoy the event!
Funny how things are so different when we are separated by a mile Kathie. Here, we're still in "lockdown" even though Ontario has been tracking downwards in cases for the past week. No patios, gatherings, golf and "stay home". Ya, there's one we all adhere to. We went to the Navy Yard with the pups this morning to see how many other people were not staying at home. :p In fairness MI is tracking at about 2200 cases over the past week and we're at 2600. Have fun at the garage sale. Don't accept any "funny money".
Now, here I thought that the nuclear plant in OHIya had burst Dave. Nope, it was you and Kathi beaming after RCI refunded your $4K that sent a glow into the sky. That must warm the kids hearts to see their hand prints in your garden!

I can balance better because of the holding bar
I guess I really don't have to say anything about that line buddy! It must be so because I never saw you on the floor at The Schooner Bar.
How did The Poolie Birthday go Karen? Great news about Scooter too!
A couple of non exertion chores to do so I best run. Well, walk quickly!
You all have a great day and whatever you do please stay safe.

Back from Jill's sub sale. What a FLOP. Just TOO NICE outside for people to be riding around looking at garage sales. Didn't sell a thing. Brought it all back home. Come next trash day it will be out there. I might still try and sell that darn rug that I really like that is dated! Ha Ha.

It's HOT HOT HOT outside, but I love it.
I stopped at a flower nursery on the way home, and I must have been the only one with a MASK on walking around. Oh well, I really could care less. Bought 6 things to put in the big flower pots on the front porch. It's has a overhang and they should do well at night even if I have to pull them back to the corners. I just want to get them planted and done with.

And let me tell you PLANTS are NOT CHEAP this year.  But at least there are NO LINES to get gas around here. Ha Ha.

Lee: I liked the Sat Morning Song. And I even figured out who the GAL was in the video. WOW, now that was DECADES upon DECADES ago!

I must say that everyone is in a big hurry to stop wearing Masks, not to get vaccinated and to eat and drink at bars and restaurants like this Covid just WENT AWAY. Ha Ha. WRONG. You watch the entire country is going to SPIKE again by Mid-July. I heard that Greece is letting in Tourist if they have their Covid Vaccination CARDS with them. I bet those will be a HOT number on the Black-Market! LOL How is Greece going to check to see if Sally Smith's card is REAL. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Quick check in from Belleview...internet has been kicking me off line all day...I think they were in ka-hoots with your hydro company Lee!

Dave, that is great news the Royal finally gave you guys a refund on your over charged cruise!

Kathie, bummer that you didn't sell anything at Jill's yard sale..I have been trying to give away a nice rug myself...everybody say's they want it...but nobody will show up to get it!

Lee, loved that song...now I need to go track down the movie...glad to hear you passed your blood work the 2nd time around...see...studying does pay off!

Pat, hope you had a great visit with Laurie & co...I'm positive they did not leave for home hungry!

Didn't do much of anything today...and pretty much planing the same for tomorrow...

I just don't understand why the CDC recommendation on mask wearing is so complicated to so many people. It's NOT complicated. If you are fully vaccinated you no longer need to wear masks outside or inside. Unless your State mandates otherwise. You still can if you want to though. Not complicated in my book.

But every news channel mentions how complicated it is to the public. Who are they talking to, the dummies?

I'm with you BB and K2, I'm still going to wear mine in certain circumstances.

Splain something to me Lee; You keep using the word "hydro" concerning your electric service. Do you get your electricity from some generators at a dam on some river? Hydro always makes me think of water.

KC; Since you are planning not much of anything today, go with that idea and just relax, recharge your batteries, and have some wine as you read a book.

Did you go back into hibernation, Bill?

As for me today; Oh I have a whole list of things on my to-do list. But if I just decide to go back to bed, then that's a royal flush. (No cards please.

Won’t need to water the plants today. It’s been raining since around 5:00 am.
Our electricity provider is Hydro One. Renamed from Ontario Hydro Dave. Back in the day (I’m never sure what day they mean) Ontario’s electricity came primarily from generators near Niagara Falls and a water and coal fired plant on the shore of Lake Ontario. So, there ya have it. I hope the sound of The Royal Flush didn’t wake you.

Sorry the yard sale was such a bust Kathie. Oh well, time with family is a good thing.
I like your schedule for yesterday and today Karen. How’s the kittie kids doing?
How was your visit Pat? I sure hope that there were no last minute phone calls.
Rumour has it I’m going to the garden centre at Home Depot and Lowe’s to help look for a pot. Yes, everything is locked down but garden centres are open at 25% capacity. And we must wear masks and socially distance and blah, blah, blah…
Could the confusion around the CDC’s mask statement simply be how does the average working squid at any business know who has been fully vaccinated and who hasn’t? Back in the day (see above) adulterers had a scarlet “A” written on their foreheads. With advances in inks I think an “FV” (fully vaccinated) on people’s foreheads that can be seen with UV lights or glasses would do the trick! That could be applied when you get the second shot. Yes , I’m kidding. I much prefer the chip in the neck like our pet’s have…
OK, enough from north of the border.
You fine folks all have a fantastic Sunday!

Happy Sunday morning, everyone!

Lee - Looking for pots at the garden center sounds like a lot of fun. I really do enjoy checking out the garden center and I think Home Depot has better plants than Lowes. At least right here they do. Actually, I'd rather go to a place near where M&J live right now. They have the best nursery and will even put together a mixed pot of plants for you. Great customer service, for sure.
Love the toilet reminder. Better and more to the point than "Be a sweetie and put down the seatie"!

Dave - You want complicated when it comes to wearing a mask or not, imagine throwing in the Florida theme parks. They are enough to make a grown man crazy as each one is slightly different as to when and where you need to wear a mask. Whick rides you need to wear a mask and which you don't. I'm just glad we don't go to any of the theme parks now except Gatorland, which is all outside.

We had a good time with our company yesterday, but it was rather strange when it came to what to talk about. All the kids talked about what teachers they like and which they dislike, plus talking about their friends. Most of that talking was directed to their parents and we were clueless as to who was who. They left here around 5 which gave us time to get ready for the wine tasting at 6. The wines were very good and ended up buying 2 bottles from them that we'll save as "private stock" for a nice dinner. I wasn't crazy about the food this time, even though it was prepared by the chef from the Grille. I dislike scallops, which was one course and there was a chicken patty on a roll with mushroom slices that really didn't move me that much. Dessert was a chocolate bomb with delicious melt in your mouth cream inside. Brought half of that home for later. Wine tasting was over at 7:15. Too early to call it a night, so we went over to the Grille for another drink before heading home.

Just getting ready now to head back to the Grille for the brunch to continue my birthday week celebration. The chef promised to sing happy birthday to me in his best Elvis impersonation. This should be good!! Beyond the brunch, the rest of the day is wide open, so who knows where that may lead.

Have a great day, everyone. Stay safe and do something fun with or without the mask!! :)

Pat, sorry the visit yesterday was a bit off...sounds like brunch today was good....nice of your friends to treat you to Mimosa's...I still have the bottle of Sparkling wine my brother sent me...I think I am going to try making a Bellini with it...

Dave, so which did you end up doing tackle the honey do list or go back to bed?

Kathie, hope all is well with you today....hope yesterdays adventures didn't wear you out to much....

Now I think I will retreat to the porch again for happy hour...my sister Barb isn't to happy with me right now, because I told her it was to cold to come swimming today...

Good Afternoon Wrabbits.

Lee: We got about 10 mins of rain around 6a.m. Yes, I happen to be up to see it happen. After that NOTHING. The sun is out in full force now at 3:00 pm. The POLLEN is still going crazy. We figured out where it was coming from. The Willow Tree & OUR LOVELY BLUE SPRUCE TREES in the backyard. I guess this year was a BUMPER CORP of new cones on the Spruce trees and when the bud POPS OPEN it shoots out this POLLEN DUST. And when the WIND blows we get pollen from the Willow next door and our Spruce trees. It was another day of GREEN/YELLOW on everything all around the house, yard, etc. CRAZY.

I just got done renewing Art's License Tab online. Amazing how much they made you do to get the TAB sent to you in the mail. It was worth the extra effort to avoid making a appointment for the Secretary of States office.

I got my pots planted yesterday for the front porch.
Art planted our POTATO Plants in the garden. Time will tell if we get more than last year.
My green onions are pushing up in the big pots I planted them in. I love chopped green onions with scrambled eggs!
Made a Lemon-Blueberry Loaf. One for us and one for our friends (Marie & George) whose daughter is now in Hospice.

I need to PAY BiLLS once I get off of this site. Seems that's all I do lately. LOL

Lee: It does seem strange that the Garden Centers are open and not much of anything else. Is Home Depot & Lowes open too? What abut Costco? Just doesn't make much sense to have all those HUGE places open and not a Beauty Shop that is more likely to be more careful than those other places.
Good to know your TESTs came back okay the 2nd time around.

To the rest of you nice folks........hope you continue to stay safe and have a good rest of the day and WEEK.

Bill/Rita: Have you 2 given up on us?? How is RITA doing these days? When do you MOVE? Come on you can handle letting us in on some of these things!! :)

Later..........

Well Kathie that’s the stupid part about the “controls” we are supposed to be under. Those controls include a “stay at home” order. So why is anything other than grocery and drug stores open? Lowe’s and Home Depot are curbside pickup only. Their garden centres can open at 25% capacity for in person shopping. There was a huge line at both which we decided not to join. Costco is open but can only sell pharmacy and food. All the other aisles are blocked off with palettes. Wallymart is open and the same rules apply. You can’t even buy a danged greeting card! Pollen is crazy here too. Just what somebody with seasonal allergies needs to go with the whole heart thing.
That’s a good way to know which of the kittie kids is eating what Karen. No luck with pot shopping. I should have gone to the cannabis store (which is also “essential“ and open). I could have scored “pot” there no problem. ;)
It sounds like brunch today more than made up for last night’s outing Pat. I was reading the revised facial covering policies for Mouse World. Nope, don’t get it at all.
Time to let our pups out in the yard. Ava is a little sun bunny who loves to spend time in the yard. Never good when I’m wanting to pee when she’s done.
Be good folks!

Went Krogering a little while ago. We should be good for awhile. Yes, I wore my mask and so did everyone else. Kroger's STILL has you wearing MASKS to get into the store! Love that policy big time. It wasn't very crowded at 7:45 p.m. I planned it that way. Best thing I bought was some Yogurt for myself!! :) Also, remembered to buy a book of stamps at the service desk. I don't like the LITTLE FLAG stamps, but I just wasn't going to go to the post office for the fancy ones that are BIGGER and give you more bang for your$.55 cents. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Lee: You'll be happy to know I have a re-check appointment at the Cardiologists at 9:15 a.m. She's most likely going to tell me that my Echocardiogram test 3 weeks ago was just FINE. I think my whole issue with feeling dizzy 3 weeks ago was a INTER-EAR imbalance. The day after my last appt I never had another issue with being dizzy. I guess she must have scared the "dizzy's out of my head". :emoticon 0122 itwasntme::emoticon 0136 giggle: Anyways, I'll dump another Co-pay and let her tell me to come back if I need to. A nice start to this Monday, it is Monday isn’t it?, morning.
On tap for the day is a trip to pick up my glasses, a Doctor phone call mid day, and the ongoing stop at the market. Trying to eat fresh and healthy seems to mean more stops at the grocery. And of course walking the pups.
I hope all goes well for you at the cardiologists today Kathie. I’m not in the programme until after I meet the nurse and doctor on May 26. I can take the online sessions now though.

YIPPEE! We get another taste of summer during this week. (Along with all the pollen.) Most of it will be sunny, and by the weekend temperatures in the mid to upper 80's.

Thanks Lee for your explanation of Hydro. Now just don't tell me that your water supplier company is called Volt Technologies.

Now that's something I've never had, K2. Chopped green onions mixed with eggs. Sounds interesting. Although I must admit that I usually order or make my eggs sunny-side-up. But once in a blue moon I'll order a big fat omelet.

Yup, Dr is NOT IN YET and there are patients here that had earlier appts waiting before me! Good thing I’m in a HEART DR’s office. Ha ha. Trying to ignore my aggravation level right now.

Lee; Every time I post something I think about Tony or one of you “boys” ripping on me for what I said. Some times I change the wording other times I just go with it.
Dave: Hope your stitches came out nice and clean. Now make sure to put a towel over your pillow case in case the little buggers drain. Hate to see you stain a nice pillow case.

Pat: I see M&J are going to love the subdivisions pool. They all looked like they were enjoying it the other day!
Getting close to your BIRTHDAY. Sure hope everyone remembers. Not like you didn’t throw out a few hints. Ha ha!

45 mins and still waiting. Hmmm

Karen so does your sister get to go into the pool tonight?
It’s going to be NICE and in the 70’+ s ALL WEEK HERE in PURE MICHIGAN. FINALLY.

Good morning! It's a beautiful day here with temps in the mid 80s. Next week the 90s return to Florida along with a better chance of rain and t-storms. I guess we can't have everything we want all the time!

Kathie - I can tell you what a bellini is, as it's my favorite. It's just like a mimosa, except instead of orange juice, it contains peach juice or nectar. Nice & sweet and goes down so easily. I like to use prosecco as it is more mellow.
Glad you finally figured out where all the pollen was coming from. We constantly have something starting to bloom, so there's almost always some kind of pollen in the air.

Dave - I bet it will feel good to have those stitches removed from your neck. So tell us, now that you're getting some nice warm weather, have you broken out the shorts yet?

Lee - Glad that you can at least do the online classes right now. May 26th will be here before you know it. That's a lot of running around for you to do today. Just make sure you take it slow.

Karen - So did you finish off the bellinis? Looks like a good day to head to the pool area.

M&J surprised us by stopping off yesterday afternoon. I didn't realize they were at the pool here and didn't have the computer on most of the time they were there, so when the sliding door opened, Bert & I were very surprised and glad to see them. They helped to solve a big problem we had around here and that was how to consume all the leftovers in the refrigerator! They sure did do a number on everything that was in there.
Now I have a problem - Do I make something for dinner tonight or do we go out in keeping with my birthday week schedule. I think I will go with making something, because tomorrow we're going out for lunch at one of our favorite places for Creole food at Harry's. I already know what I plan to order ... gumbo and then crawfish etouffee followed by my birthday piece of key lime pie. Of course, it will all be washed down with a glass or 2 of wine. How times have changed. Years ago when we would eat there I would always get a Hurricane with a 151 floater on top to drink. Now that's just too sweet for me, so I stick with wine instead. Tuesdays there are Happy Hour all day, so all drinks are on specials. Talk about a win/win!!!

That's about all I've got for right now. I know Bert wants to make a stop at the library to return some books, but other than that, there's not much planned for the day. Might take a quick swing by where M&J are building their house to see if they've started the pre-build work. Jimmy checked yesterday and their house has now gone up $35,000 since they signed contracts. Crazy, huh? Same thing happened when we built this house and then the housing market crashed. It has taken this long for prices to recover. Only problem with selling right now is the question of where the heck to go and what other areas also have prices going up so rapidly. Guess we'll stay put right here for now!!

Time to grab another cup of coffee before we start any trips out and about. Have a great day, everyone. Do all the things Lee said to do!! :)

WOW.....it's really really nice outside. Came inside to get some water.
I stopped on the way home from the Doc's earlier and tried to buy Art a new WATCHBAND, but that wasn't happening. You have to order them ONLINE and paying shipping for a $11 watchband wasn't doing it for me. So I found the same kind he had before, a Casco black watch with date, year, month, time , light and alarm if you need it and a "stop-watch" feature. All for $19.99. I told Art it was far less stress paying for a new one than to have to pay shipping on a watch band. He actually said he liked it better than his previous watch that was all scratched up from falling off his bike! HA ha. He didn't agree with that at all. Said it was from all his hard work he does! Okay.........I'll give him that one this time.

By the way the Doctor was late in getting to the office because "HER SCHEDULE" said she started at 10:00 a.m. since she had to do rounds earlier at the hospital. She said the staff needs to get their act together on who is where and when! I laughed since they have 4 offices!
If she wasn't so nice I'd be ticked off, but she's a good gal.

Okay, OUTSIDE I GO. I bought a 3ft x 5ft new American FLAG today while getting Art's watch. I have this thing about making sure my FLAG is not worn or ragged when flying high on the pole out front. I should get a Canadian Flag and fly it right below. After all Art's parents were born in Canada and we have some MIGHTY GOOD EXTENDED FAMILY living across the River! Hee Hee.

Lee: I went through the Starbucks drive-thru (only way you can get coffee around this area) And I tried the NEW Strawberry Fluff Frap. It was like a Strawberry Shake with a "hint" of coffee. If you didn't know there was suppose to be coffee in it you wouldn't have tasted it. Totally a desert type drink.
