That’s a nice surprise at the dentist Kathie. That’s the beauty of pool heat. You CAN get in the pool even if it’s a tad cooler. As long as it’s sunny! As fast as the parks workers blow and clean up the leaves in The Navy Yard they are back! This afternoon they were putting up the, um, Christmas decorations!
Hope everyone has had a wonderful day.

I have an early morning appointment, 8:30, at The Subaru dealer tomorrow. Hopefully it’s just the scheduled oil change and checkup.
See you all tomorrow.

Long day today so this will be brief. After church we hung up paper crosses around the church that people had decorated for loved ones who'd passed in preparation for All Saints Sunday. Then Pamela & I went to lunch and to the hospital to pick up another church lady who had knee surgery yesterday. By the time we left her house & Pam was taking me back to my house we decided it was dinner time, so we went out for dinner. Now I'm ready to just kick back & relax a bit.

I did pick up a microwave yesterday, it's small & I like that, but it seems very noisey. I am going to give it a week or 2 and see if I get used to it, if not it's going back & I will look for something else.

Isn't it nice to end the day with a friend and dinner Kc? I hope that microwave wasn't too heavy.
Another beautiful day again today. It got up to 74 today..hope it lasts for 6 more months, I'm a dreamer.
Did all your Subaru need was an oil change Lee. My olddest daughter after years of buying a Toyota bought a Subaro and she loves it. I slept on a bed with metal springs, it sagged a lot in the middle. Fay and Kathi are alike when it comes to dark chocolate but Fay does like milk chocolate. When one of the kids buys me chocolate it is alway dark, even our friends bring the dark chocolate here.

Just a quick check in this morning.

Fuzzbutt and I have had our morning "Whiz", and I'm feeling a bit sleepy, sooo we're heading back to bed.

Enjoy your day Bunnies!

Are you all ready for the Trick or Treaters tonight if they are allowed where you live?
A very breezy 62F on our early walk. After a high of 72F later today the rain will move in and we struggle to reach the mid 50’s tomorrow.
Hopefully your new microwave does the job Karen. Sometimes a new appliance makes different sounds that we become used to. If not, it’s nice to know you can take it back for a different model.
I head to The Subie dealer in a bit Mike. We had a Grand Caravan for 9 years and just shy of 200,000 miles. Parts start to wear out (like us!) so we needed a reliable replacement. Coming out of COVID none of the dealers had any reasonably priced stock except Subaru. The brand has a good name and so far (that sound is me knocking wood) we have been very pleased.
Mornin’ Dave. Nice to see you whiz through this morning in your way to, well, “whiz”.
With the rain in the forecast Kathie, you best try to get the leaves blown before they get wet!
OK, better feed Ava and then me. I’ll stop at Starbucks on my way to the dealer and grab a “waiting coffee”. They do have a Keurig at the dealer but they usually only have mild roast and I prefer a medium.
Have a good day everyone!

Good morning Wrabbits.

I’m at our local Sub-hospital waiting to get a blood test done for my annual physical next week!
Always something!

Karen: Sure hope the microwave quiets down for you. We had one over the stove and it ceased the loudest thing ever. I wonder if you could build a sound proof box to put around it. (If you have room on the counter!

Lee: Good luck with your cars oil change.
Hopefully the rain will end in time for the Kiddies to get their treats. We’re giving out Mini Krispy Treats!

I’ve given up on Starbucks coffee. I stop at our Tim Hortons. We have 4 of them absolutely TOO CLOSE to each other. Seems like over-kill.

Mike: Add my name to DARK CHOCOLATE!
Enjoy the Wind and warm temps today. Might be the last day until next week!

Calling my name. Be back later

I got back from The Subie dealer around 10:30. They did an oil change, replaced the cabin filter and the engine air filter, washed the vehicle and I was on my way. I like how they do a video walk around of the vehicle during the service and show you everything including the tire tread depth, wiper blades, filters, check the suspension, brakes, look for any leaks or damage under the vehicle. You can review the video and authorize any suggested service needs from the comfort of your chair in the waiting room. Kind of neat.
We got Ava down to The Navy Yard and home for our lunch. It looks like the rain will arrive around 4:00 and continue through to 8:00 “ish”. I feel bad for the little folks who look so forward to Trick or Treating.
Let’s hope you have no pesky surprises in your blood sample Kathie. I hope they don’t tell you to give up on dark chocolate and coffee! o_O
And with that it’s time for me to head down and get on the treadmill.
See you later my friends.

I ran around looking for a "SINK" for Art's bathroom project.
Stopped and had a Bloody Mary and a fantastic Hamburger at the Shamrock Inn.
Yikes it was full of kids in costumes. They must have had a 1/2 day of school in that district.
The burger hit the spot .... and I won't fool you guys......so did the Bloody Mary. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: I didn't get a chaser!

I got home and my BLOOD WORK RESULTS were on my Hospital Chart already! Unbelievable.
Thyroid looks a tad high and so does Vit B12. REALLY!!

Happy Halloween Wrabbits. Not exactly "our" holiday! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

From some “reliable” source or another Kathie…
Bloody Marys are actually healthy cocktails. In addition to electrolytes, sodium, potassium, and Vitamin C, tomatoes also contain lycopene, which is high in antioxidants.
Bottoms up!

Lee, I don't think I ever had a bloody mary. I used to like vodka collins but the meds I'm taking have fouled up my tastebuds and don't like it any more. I like t he idea of a video check on the cars.
K2, I usually check my chart after a blood test, don't know too much more after I read it.
Are you still in bed Dave? All that whizzing around can were you out.
I hope you didn't overdo it yesterday Kc.
Trick or treat pretty soon, We have loads of candy. I hope it doesn't rain and we will be left with a lot of it. Do you remember before covid, the malls had entertainment and treats for the kids. There is a small mall close by that is part of a large shopping district here.
Don't eat all the candy;, especially the dark chocolate.

Trick /Treat kids were slim this year.... as in most years.
We had more Jr High kids than tiny youngsters. The BIG KIDS were SO POLITE I even told them they were and to keep up the good work. I told them "Good for you coming out and getting some candy". "It's expensive"! They laughed and said Thank you!

It was such a mild (but Windy) evening that even Artie came and sat with me. I made us both a "Old Fashion" to sip on while we waited for the kiddies to come. All in all a good Halloween. I don't think we'll be doing it again, unless it's as warm as it was tonight. Just not enough kids to sit out there!

Dave: Did you catch up on your sleep?

We need to go and get our Flu and Covid shots. I'm toying with the idea NOT to get the Covid one. I'll ask the Pharmacists what she thinks!!

Good night for now.
We had ALL the windows open and had to close them around 10:00 pm because MR SKUNK was in the area. The wind was blowing so hard he could have been miles away and it just drifted in. It wasn't as strong as most times.
It's 61 F at 11:00 pm Thursday night. WOW..... what a treat.

Ok you hooligans, you had me looking up what officially goes into a Bloody-Mary. Hell, I've definitely got vodka on hand.

"a cocktail containing vodka, tomato juice, and other spices and flavorings including Worcestershire sauce, hot sauces, garlic, herbs, horseradish, celery, olives, pickled vegetables, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, lime juice and celery salt. Some versions of the drink, such as the "surf 'n turf" Bloody Mary, include shrimp and bacon as garnishes. In the United States, it is usually consumed in the morning or early afternoon, and is popular as a hangover cure."

DONE, with the vodka I've got and the V-8 I've got, I'm making one. :)

Our heat wave is definitely over. Yesterday in the upper 70's and only inching in to the 50's today.

What's a "Mini Crispy Treat", K2? We're guessing it's some kind of candy or cookie made with Rice Krispies.

Speaking of Trick-Or-Treat candy.......On the news yesterday experts and even nutritionists were saying to let the kids eat all they want when they get home. Even if it makes them sick. It'll be a teaching moment for them to not overindulge eating or drinking things and they'll they'll carry with them through life. Much like knowing what your limit should be on alcohol drinks. (Mine is 5.) Even the number of bacon strips you can eat before you start feeling sick. (Anything over 6 or 7 for me.)

It sounds cool, but I've never heard of a dealership or mechanic making a video of your car when it's in for service.

Holy Cow! Does it ever feel like a brisk 45F November morning on our early walk. Hmmm. That’s because it IS November. What a swing in temperature from yesterday.
We had about 90 kids last night. Hard to tell exactly because I always give the little folks next door extras. We had the same experience with very polite trick or treaters. we had no kids after about 7:10. I turned the lights out at 7:30. The wind had picked up and it was really starting to cool down.

I don’t know if this will work or not. It’s the walk around the service tech (they’re not mechanics anymore!) does which they text you. They also send an authorization and price to change, in yesterday’s case, the two filters. You can catch a glimpse of the steering wheel and seat covers they put on when you check in. I think the video is pretty neat too.
I’m not a big fan of mixed drinks. I have had a Bloody Mary but I just don’t do a lot of mixed drinks.
Best get Ava’s breakfast going. I’m off to Jim’s basement and Lu-Ann and the ladies are headed to town a little later for a coffee and a chat.
You all have a fantastic day!

BRRRR COLD… 46F.
Wind is still blowing leaves all up and down the street. Our 2 huge Maple trees out front aren’t giving up ANY of their beautiful leaves even with the strong winds.

Dave: Bloody Mary’s at some places can be like a lunch with all the stuff they put on a stick in them. The celery and bacon strip and pickle are popular. You pay more when they add shrimp. Some folks like a little clam juice in theirs, but not me.
The little squares we handed out were Rice Krispy Treats!

I think today’s dinner will be Cream of Broccoli Soup and crusty bread. Just that kind of day.

You all enjoy the day and let us know what you did.

Lee, have fun at Jim’s place.

I’m going take Art to show him a sink for his bathroom re-do!
Round or Rectangle is his choice!

WE both got our Flu & Covid shots today! One in each arm. They’re making these shots SO PAINLESS these days! Amazing.
I need to get a Tetanus Booster and Hepatitis shots. The Hepatitis is a 3 shot series vaccine. You get 1 shot then wait 1 month and get the next shot and then at 6 months you get the last one. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: I won’t have to get that series again in this lifetime! Ha ha.
Had to turn on the heat earlier to get the “chill” out of the house! Bring on the HIGHER GAS BILLS!
Our Choir directors Dad passed away late today. He was 96 yrs old and managed to live in his home for decades after his wife passed away. Just this past month he’s been in and out of the hospital and went into hospise 2 days ago. May he RIP.
You all enjoy the WEEKEND!
Karen: I saw you’ve been having high 85 temps. Send some of your excess heat up North. Thanks in advance!!

Just a short note, Pattie and Michael were here today and it was very enjoyable. Our Halloween sounds just like what you had lee, about 90 and about 80 degrees, mostlly younger kids but a few very polite junior hi kids. Dave, if the kids over eat who cleans up the mess??????

Good Saturday morning Bunnies.

And a cool one at that. And I'm not too keen about that. I have to keep reminding myself that recently it's been a LOT warmer than normal. Normal around this date is a high temperature in the mid 50's.

That is one cool video from your Subaru dealer, Lee. I wish all mechanics and dealerships would do that. Seeing something makes it easier to believe. Kathi has a question for you about dogs; Have you ever had any experience with a dog that has a wart? And if so what? Fuzzbutt has had a wart on her back for some time and the Vet keeps saying not to worry about it. But, she can reach it and often scratches at it.

K2; I'm surprised that those Maple trees clung on to their leaves during the high winds. The last couple of days, our high winds made it look like the leaves were coming down in bunches from the sky. The weather people said that this weekend will be our peak in color since so many blew off the trees.

Broccoli soup sounds yummy. And I'm not a soup person.

And how much candy did to test for "quality-control", Mike? :)

Hi to the rest of you!

It’s an hour later now than it will be at this time tomorrow. Yep, a hint to turn your clocks back before bed tonight. Compared to back in the day we have very few clocks to turn back. Everything seems to take care of that oven their own! Heck, while you’re at it, swap out your smoke detector batteries too.
Sorry to hear of the gentleman passing Kathie. It sounds like he did pretty well until this past little while. We get our flu shots tomorrow and our 6 month covid booster in December. I can’t believe your leaves hung on during that wind!
I see all these polite little kids Mike and wonder where some of them go so wrong as they get a bit older. I guess letting them eat all the candy is like touching a hot stove. They’ll likely only do it once.
This Subaru dealership opened just before we got our Outback Dave and have all the latest gizmos. They have a machine
that you slowly drive over / past as you enter the building. It records your license plate and checks your alignment and does an initial reading of the tire tread. That pops up on a screen behind the service reception desk. We have had warts on some of our dogs. I’m trying to recall which one of our pups we had it removed from because it was located on his head and he would scratch at it. Lu-Ann will know and I’ll let you and Kathi know.
Mornin’ Karen. Yes, sharing the warmth with your northern hutch mates would be much appreciated.
I hear Ava stirring. I think she knows it’s feeling right around freezing right now. She seems to know and isn’t eager, nor am I, to go for her early walk. It may be a short walk or a trip to the back yard.
Have a fantastic day everyone.

Lee, I had to read your it's an hour later now twice then I read the rest of the sentence, It wont make any difference to me any more. Our telephone is ringing off the hook, people wanting us to change insurance. Once I tell them my age the;y sa;y sorry I don;t qualify,, can't explain that to a computer. Did Ava enjoy her walk in the refreshing temps?
I like raw broccoli Dave but not cooked. I only tested ond small piece of candy.
K2, I have to get the rsv shot yet, will set up the appt. next week.
Fay and Michael pulled out the tomato vines yesterday, that is the latest we have kept them in t he ground. There was stilll a lot of cherry and grape tomatoes on them but t hey have lost their taste.
hello Karen.

Just checking in to say it's CHILLY here and nothing much going on.

Art was biking earlier and after I did the leaves on the side of the house and down by the street I told myself it was time to go up to the Shamrock for a GOOD HAMBURGER and a BLOODY MARY! Yes, I have no qualms about going to do that by myself.
Well, I pull into the parking lot and start to walk towards the door and another car pulls into a spot not far from my car. It was Marie & George from "up 24 Mile Rd" and their older son. I laughed and Marie said "JOIN US". Of course I would join them. We chatted and ate a yummy Hamburger and they wouldn't hear of me paying for the bill. What a fun surprise!
Good thing I wasn't there with a "date"! Ha ha. The church
gossip would have been unreal.

Michigan State Univ is losing in football right now. :emoticon 0106 crying:

Off to get a fresh cup of coffee that I just made.

Karen: What are you up to girlfriend??
