Quack Quack looks like our web feet will be needed today in this area as it is raining and storming. A little housework on agenda and a lot of sitting reading and watching TV. Have a new book to start. Interesting novel but has many tricky plots so have to read very careful no speed reading in it.. Hpefully later in the weekend we will have deck time.

Nice to hear abt the girls camping experiences Coleen and Meghan. My granddaughter is having some great times with her scout group. Sometimes think her mother is having a better time. Looking forward to meeting you next year.

Enjoy yur week end all. Quack, Quack

Ahoy Duck Crew! Our web feet were put to good use the past few days, but I can't complain. We dropped over 56 degrees in one day from the 110 degree temps earlier this week. Wild weather.

JK - delighted you had such a wonderful time in my old home town.

Colleen & Meghan - sounds like you had a great time camping, even if YOU had to get your web feet wet.

Everybody - have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend. It should be a quiet one for Pucci and me - I'll be working.

Good morning to all DDDITs from central Joisey where it is yet another glorious day!

We're going to my Sister's for a Family picnic this afternoon. Tomorrow is a chill-out day. DD and DGD are in the local parade tomorrow, but I suspect we'll miss it.....it's more of a walk down the street than a parade for them. They certainly don't march or even stay in line!!! I HATE to get up early on a day off! =sleep

Hope everyone has a Wonderful & Safe day!

Good morning, Duck Crew. The unknown object for the last few days is up in the sky again. Nothing special going on here - I may take a photo of MY planting prowess - basil. Planted the little seeds two weeks ago today and have been watching them grow. They're doing better than watching paint dry! ;)

No parades or anything. Most of my friends are out of town.

Enjoy the holiday weekend! <img src=http://katiejeffreys.com/ducky/graphics/cool%20duck.jpg>

We watched the Cubs blow another lead in the ninth and lose in extra innings. Also caught the end og the Indy race. Looks like a nice day out with a strange glowing orb in the sky . . . .

Morning Quacks.

No UFO this morning. We got much need duckie weather last night. It was threatening rain during the day but we still sent our water company on a b2b2b2b cruise for the annuals and new grass seed. Now if they will only grow.

Good afternoon Duckmates! Been busy around here with our new foster doggie Cisco. If I end up being another foster flunky and he stays with us then SK wants to name him Juan Moe.

It has finally stopped raining here so hopefully I can go and get the rest of my plants today and finish
the pots for the front porch. They say no rain until Friday and I hope they are right. I bet they are wrong
though since I got my car washed last night :D

Hope everyone has a QUACKING good day!!

QUACK QUACK Duck Crew. No weather for ducks here today - beautiful day with moderate temps.

I'll be going to PT this afternoon - at least it's aquatherapy (maybe I should bring ducky wings?) and not grueling contortions!

Have a great day - I've been checking San Francisco hotels, and it's still too early for anything.

Shipmaven - good luck on your PT. I hope everything is going well with that.

JK - Cute doggie.

Good morning Duck Crew. I had an interesting sighting on my way to the commuter lot this morning. I do live out "in the country" but this has never happened before. See lots of deer, foxes, raccoons etc but today I had an encounter with a coyote. I was driving down Rt 20 through the Wilderness Battlefield National Park and one ran across the road right in front of me...thankfully it was running VERY fast and I didn't hit it with my new car =eek Anyway, I knew VA had an increasing coyote population (almost 30% increase each year) but this was my first sighting.

Not much on the agenda today...working in town today instead of home :( Tomorrow I'll be off most of the day to take Leatherneck to Walter Reed for another procedure...this time they will remove polyps and possibly do more banding if needed. Other then that, not much happening.

Janice, Cisco is a keeper and a cutie ;) Did I tell you my SIL Chris adopted a female Sheppard mix and named her Faith. I haven't met her yet but I hear she is a real sweetie.

That's about all new here....hope everyone's day is just ducky.

So......
One day while I was working in my office, this duck just
comes waddlin' in. He looks around for a while and then
jumps onto my desk and asks me, "Hey, do you got any duck
food?"

I said, "No, now get outa here." So he jumps back onto the
floor and waddles out of my office.

The next day the same duck comes back, looks around, and
jumps on my desk. "Hey, do you have any duck food?" he asks
again.

"No, now get outa here or I'll nail your feet to the floor."

"Oh, okay," he says and waddles out.

But the next day the duck comes waddling in and jumps on my
desk and asks, "You got any nails?"

"No," I answered.

"Good! You got any duck food?"
