Finally dried up enough to get the weeds mowed. Glad thats done. Went to see "The Dark Knight" today with mini-loaf #2. GREAT movie. I can see why there is such talk about Oscar nominations for Heath Ledger. He played his part FANTABULOUSLY!

Congrats to Lovebug! ! ! =hug =hug
We are the Champions, we are the Champions !!!!!!! The noise you guys heard was me yelling and screaming. She finally hit a home run :jump :jump OMG I had tears rolling down my face. The boys came flying out of the dugout, the parents/crowd went nuts. What a kodak moment. It was so exciting.

Then, they had to put her in as pitcher for the last 2 innings. Little League rule, a kid can only pitch so many pitches in a day. Since they had 2 games yesterday, and 2 today they were running out of players.

OMG, she pitched a no hitter. Then the next inning, she struck out the first two, then assisted in the ground out for the third out.

She was awesome tonight. As of today, this is it for her baseball till the Spring time. No more listening(reading) to me brag. I dont think she will get involved in the house fall ball season. We were going to sponsor her team but after seeing how the Nationals and these tournaments are run, Fall ball is just a glorified babysitting service.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm not surprised, but I'm overjoyed for Lovebug, her family and her fans (read, you and Warren)!!

Good morning, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs, from central Joisey where it's a delightful 69 degrees.

Crazy as it may sound, I'm already looking into things to do in San Francisco, besides eating! We're not going to rent a car because there's enough to do right around the Wharf. Colleen and Meghan Anne have never been there, so a cable car trip is mandatory. And of course, they have to see Lombard Street!

We enjoyed the cable car museum, but I suspect they would be bored with that.

I think they'll both get a kick out of the sea lions, as long as they can stand the "aroma." ;)

And then, of course, there's shopping!!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a nice & safe day! :thumb :thumb

Good morning, Ducks, Ducklings and Dits. Yet another week closer! :thumb

Sis - in addition to what you've mentioned, don't forget the lovely boat ride to Sausalito, as well going to Ghirardelli Square and the Cannery. A trip around Golden Gate Park is beautiful, too. San Francisco offers sooooooooooooooooo much!

Mama Duck is off to the dentist this morning, instead of Wednesday, to have a tooth extracted. Pucci is coming with me (I have a wonderful doctor and a wonderful dentist - both enlightened as to the benefits of Pucci companionship! :grin ). Please keep your fingers crossed that this will be an easy extraction instead of some of the...ahem...not-so-easy ones I've had in the past.

Quack Quack to all the Ducks, Ducklings and DIT's. All this talk of San Fran and the seafood has me yearing to go! Judi - I saw that episode of the Pallea throwdown. I never tried that stuff before but I'm not a fan of foods that look like Gumbo. It was interesting though how it was made.

Congrats to Lovebug's winning the championship. WTG! I know you are thrilled for her Suer.

Corky - where are you going this week? Beltera, Grand Victoria or Argosy? I had some stay free hotel passes for Beltera that I just tossed. Had I known I would have sent them to you. Good Luck and have a great time.

Judi - we are also already thinking and dreaming about what we want to do in San Fran. I just hope that there is enough time to do everything that we want to do. Hey, we don't have to sleep do we? :lol

iluvcruzin - We are leaving tomorrow at 5:30 pm and are going to Horseshoe Casino Hotel (used to be Caesars Indiana ), we'll spend the night there and have dinner at Jack Binions Steak House, gamble, swim, etc. And then on Wed. I think we are doing a Wine Tour and then head over to French Lick and stay at the French Lick Springs Hotel, where we will gamble, swim, etc. On Thurs afternoon we are taking a Historic Train Ride and then we'll come home sometime Thurs evening. One friend just turned 50, and another is getting married in Sept., so this is just a quick little get together and get away for us.

I've been to Belterra and really like it there, plus it is a really nice drive from where I live in South Central Ky. Is that the closest casino to you?

Thanks for the good wishes and for thinking of me. :)

Thanks, Duckies. The extraction was probably the easiest I can ever remember. Now it remains to be seen how I feel AFTER the Carbocaine wears off. Filled a prescription for a painkiller, if needed. Pucci was sitting on my lap during the extraction, and when my Dentist left the room for a few minutes for the packing and sutures to settle in, Pucci sat up, looked at me and gave me a kiss. :loveya

Now I think I'll relax a bit before going back to work. OK - shoot me for being lazy! :(

Shipmaven - that is great news, and I wish you a speedy recovery. And you deserve to be lazy, no one should have to go back to work after having a tooth extracted, and this includes you. Relax. :)

Tobyn / Judi - What is this about FF miles? :help

Mama Duck, I think you deserve to be a little bit lazy and pamper yourself until your mouth feels better. Tell Nurse Pucci he needs an extra ear scratch for being so sweet to you. Bandit and Cocoa send QUOOFS and I'll send a get well QUACK!

Happy Tuesday DDD's. I am so sore today. Our yoga class turned into a palates class and she whipped our tail feathers. I had to come home last night and take 4 ibuprofens and go to bed. What a sissy!! ::eek:

Shipmaven - I hope you are well today. :)

Have a fun trip Corky! The closest one to me is Argosy in Lawrenceburg IN (I live real close to where Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio meet) but Belterra is an easy ride away. I haven't been to French Lick in years. As a kid we went there when the Sheraton owned it. I stayed in the Timeshares on the property there with a friend a few years back. I love the old hotel and all the history around it.

Hope your mouth feels better now Mary Ann.
