And to the rest of the DDD's, I know I've been a bit silent. I'm still steamed about my e-mail problems, and I've been very tired (for whatever reason?) after the tooth extraction even though I haven't taken any pain meds since that first day. Good morning Ducks and DITS.....into final packing mode here for our Alaska Recon cruise. Maw, you and Paw have a safe trip to KC and we will see you Saturday in Seattle!
I have the bulk of our packing done. Tonight will be the finishing touches and then take the bags to DD's house so they can go in her van. Then Leatherneck and I will ride my commuter van into work tomorrow and take a taxi after work to our Pack and Fly hotel near Reagan airport...we'll meet up there with DD Jenny then head out to dinner then make an early night of it for an early morning flight. I am so excited!

First - safe travels to our reconnaissance team Maw, Paw, JanPep, Nieciez & Leatherneck. May your travels to and fro be safe, quick and painless, and thank you for scoping the area out for us. Keep a good eye out now and Report back as you can!
Well, as you can see, I am back home safe and sound from my travels to the casino's. Didn't win any big amounts, but from Tues afternoon to last night I spent a total of $75 dollars and that counts for drinks, room service, and food. Our hotel rooms were comped. I took $200 cash and brought home $125...now I've stashed that for our beach trip next month. I'll use that to buy all of our fresh seafood as it comes to the island every morning. Yummo!!
I'm headed back to work today, I was going to take off, but I think I will move it back out to next Friday where is was originally, as that is my and Den's anniversary, maybe, weather permitting we'll go have a picnic like we used to in the past.

Happy Saturday Morning DDD's!!! Only one year left....Yee-haw!!! =sailor
Suer - Thank you, I did have a great time. The French Lick Resort is absolutely stunning, as is the West Baden hotel, which we toured. You can just imagine the people strolling around in both hotels over a 100 years ago. The West Baden is the true ugly duckling to a beautiful swan story. All along the curved walls, the hotel is a circle versus a squared off box, but anyway, all along the walls, are pictures of the restoration. The West Baden set empty for 60 years and it was a horrible, horrible mess. There are no signs of that now....it is stunning and the furniture is beautiful. It is quite elegant to say the least.
Our weather today is beautiful...60 degrees right now....we have the windows open on the first floor and it feels wonderful. Lucky for us with this weather as we are going on a picnic today with my family, can't wait to see everyone.
I wish all DDD's a fantabulous day today!!

Mal is starting work on the window replacement this weekend. The humidity is low, so he wants to get some prep work done.
My Niece finally told her Husband about Alaska....Monday was their anniversary, so she told him then. They went over my Sister's that evening, and he was grinning from ear to ear! Every time we've gone, he's talked with Mal about it and said it was someplace he's always wanted to go. I don't know about anyone else, but one of my favorite things is taking people to a place that I really love. I can still remember the warm fuzzies I had when we went to Bermuda with bOB and Sheryl. She loved it just as much as I do...and not just the Swizzle Inn part!!!! :lol :lol

One of my dear Ducky friends has taken me to task for being MIA - I've simply been busy, and today went to see Nunsense way on the other side of Phoenix (Arizona Broadway Theatre). Love their performances. It's dinner theatre, so the performances are preceded by lunch or dinner depending upon whether it's a matinee or evening show.
Looks like the DDD's have had lots of fun comings and goings lately. And in just a few days, it will be ONE YEAR TO DUCK DAY!!!!

We are being sorta, kinda, lazy today. We are going to an Indian restaurant for lunch, it is a buffet, so I think I will come home and take a nap afterwards on my couch on our screened-in back porch - since the weather has cooled off enough to be able to do that, that is.
