Hermine is supposed to bring rain here by Thursday a.m. We hope the forecasters are correct. It's so dry we had a field fire the other day that barely got knocked down before catching a few of acres of corn on fire. That would have been disastrous for the farmer and smoked us out of our home.

It was a high of 89 in Akron today. This afternoon, a short thunderstorm came through while I was playing golf. Cooled things down to 77 with humidity.

We made it to 90 yesterday. All the rain storms went west and north of us -- didn't get a drop of water. Everything is burning up.
