I was recently aboard MSC Meraviglia for a visit shortly after she arrived to begin year-round cruises from New York City’s, Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. The ship is fittingly big for the ‘Big Apple’ at 171,598 gross tons, 1,036 feet long and 213 feet tall. She features 20 decks, with a guest capacity of 5,714. Cruise Addicts will have 2224 cabins to choose from within 10 unique stateroom categories ranging from an interior to an ultra luxurious suite. You will also find 20 bars and 12 restaurants to enjoy.
Things To Love Aboard MSC Meraviglia
This visit gave me an up-close look at some of the wonderful features and amenities guests can expect when taking a cruise aboard this amazing ship. Here are six awesome things I think you will love aboard MSC Meraviglia.
Galleria Meraviglia
This beautiful interior promenade is lined with restaurants, shops and bars and stretches’ more than 315 feet long. It features an impressive LED sky-dome screen and helps set the mood be it day or night. You may forget your on a ship as you take a seat to sample some Sushi and or have a drink with it’s cafe’ culture ambiance. You will often find performers putting on dazzling shows filled with dancing, colorful costumes and more day and night on the promenade.
I enjoyed this promenade area and found it also made navigating the ship easier. It was also a fun hub of activity for dining, having a cup of coffee, and enjoying entertainment. Many of the ship’s most popular restaurants and bars are also conveniently located here.
Virtual Games, Bowling and More
It may be hard to decide what to do first when you see all of the choices of fun activities located mid-ship on Deck 16. You can choose to ride and F1 Race Car simulator, enjoy a game of Bowling, play Arcade games and a Sportsplex for some hoops. Don’t forget the 4D Cinema that provides for fun the whole family. We love the array of different activities here to choose from. I know our family will be choosing to bowl some games and enjoy the 4D Cinema.
HOLA! Tacos and Cantina
You won’t have to wait until Taco Tuesday to eat your favorite mexican food. This fast-casual street food dining concept offers a selection of Latin American and Mexican-inspired dishes and drinks to be shared. We really like the friendly atmosphere and convient location off the promenade. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. You can choose from an array of dishes from blue corn tacos and nachos, authentic beef empanadas and tasty tamales through to tortilla soup or vegetarian tacos.
Their signature salsa bar offers a choice of six home-made salsa and large selection of spicy sauces as well as a fresh guacamole. Guests are able to choose between having their guacamole made for them or taking the interactive meal to the next level, and making the guacamole themselves at their table.
Polar Aquapark
The Polar Aquapark aboard MSC Meraviglia is one of the most exciting waterparks at sea. It features three twisting slides, a ‘Himalayan Bridge’ and a range of pools. It features fun and exciting activities. We love how the whole family can enjoy this wonderful area with it’s wide range of choices and easy to navigate layout.
You will find slides for all ages and levels of exhilaration. Each have their own height requirement’s of course but, don’t worry their is plenty of fun available for kids of all ages here.
The MSC Yacht Club

The Carousel Lounge
The Carousel Lounge is a 10,000 square-foot custom-built, multi-million-dollar lounge which can accommodate up to 400 guests. During my visit, I was able to watch the HOUSE OF HOUDINI show performed here. The state-of-the art venue brought me closer than ever to the spectacular display of acrobatic flair and artistic finesse featured during the performance. The cutting-edge sound, lighting, and special effects made this an unforgettable and intimate entertainment experience, I won’t soon forget.
The HOUSE OF HOUDINI Show
HOUSE OF HOUDINI is a celebration of some of the most imaginative and wonderous illusions and magic of the world’s greatest Harry Houdini.
The show features contemporary music choices, elaborate costumes, amazing props and an international cast of performers who sing, dance and spring into life across one of the most technically advanced theatres in the world—the MSC Carousel Lounge.
