I don't know if they have reciprocal levels on the Carnival family, but I'll find out. I know if you have a cruise on any one of their lines, they consider you a past passenger on all of them, but I don't know if they will transfer say your "gold" status from one line to another.
Tony, e-mail sent to you, you old b******. Saved more bucks, good for youl.
We're heading out to dinner with Kevin, Jamie and their kids. Don't know yet where we are headed, but it doesn't matter.
Talked with C & A today and was told they are sending a report every month to the powers that be with all the names of the people who are expressing their dissatisfaction with the inability to combine coupons, next cruise obc, and diamond discounts. The rep I spoke to said she had over 700 names last month who were unhappy with the new policies, and most of them were platinum and diamond members (make sense, because platinum, diamond and diamond plus are the ones most affected by the new policies.) I'm hoping the powers that be realize that they are aggravating their most loyal guests, and do something about it. I know that many people complained when Bank of America raised the free cruise from 125, 000 points to 250,000, and they were able to get the free cruise reduced to 125,000 (but it's for the least expensive outside cabin instead of $2500 towards whatever cabin you wanted). Not a total win for the consumer, but at least not a total loss, IMHO. So, next time you have a reason to talk to C & A, you might want to express your opinion and even give them your name. Of course, after today, I probably will never see another D+ upgrade!!!!!!
Talk with you all later.
Rita (Started this before dinner, finished it after dinner....had shrimp scampi, YUMMY)
