OK, BB, wouldn't want you to feel lonesome and be talking to yourself. You know what happens to people who talk to themselves.......they end up in the loony bin!!!!!!

I feel your pain......it was 9 here this morning, and the wind is blowing around 20 mph, making it about below zero wind chill. We'll be having a heat wave on Saturday and Sunday, temps going up to 40. WOOHOO, have to get out the shorts!

Your perm look great(tu) See if you can convince the weatherman to plan some warm stuff for March. I can't wait for summer!!!!!

Our NV cruise will give us 47 cruise credits, then we'll get two more for the Jewel TA, then two more for the Jewel repo and 3 nighter afterwards. Hey, why don't you join us on the 3 nighter. We used Visa points and only had to pay about $150 more to keep our same D1 balcony that we have on the repo. The date is November 6th. We'll go up to Vero afterwards for a bit (unless I sell the house before then, but with the market, who knows?) and maybe stay till Thanksgiving.

Now, hope you aren't lonesome any more;)

Hi Rita! I'm so glad you stopped by to visit. Maybe between us we can warm things up around here!!! We're having a heatwave - It's now 43!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo!! Time to break out the bathing suit and sunscreen ... NOT!!! Maybe I shouldn't tell you this, but by Saturday we'll be back in the low 70s and by middle of next week we'll be close to 80! YEAH!!!!! That's more like it.

You sure a racking up the C&A points these days. Good for you. I checked that 3 day cruise in Nov. for us it would come out to too much money to drive that far for 3 days. Comes out to something like $200/pp/day. We're using some Visa points on Freedom in Sept. with K&G. They're trying to convince us to also do a Carnival cruise with them before then. We shall see. It would depend on the ship really. I like their Spirit class best, so I'd have to see what's here in Florida when they want to book something. Time will tell.

Hi. I got back from Nevada last night. Went with Mike and Jerry to visit a friend that has a brain tumor. It was an excellent visit and we all had a good time remeniscing. Hardly any snow at all in the Sierra Nevada.....scarey.....that's where a lot of our water for the summer comes from. Stopped at Bass Pro and Cabela's .....neat guy stores.

This evening, I turn around and go back to Nevada for the weekend......John and Angelia....Angeline and Anthony are also going. Supposed to be snow in the Sierra Nevada this evening......should be pretty going over.

San - Have a fun weekend with the family. Be careful on that drive, if there's snow out there. I know I don't have to remind you about that, as you're so used to these treks you take.

Our weather is finally warming up and will be in the 70 come tomorrow. Those 70s can't get here soon enough as far as I'm concerned. Wednesday & Thursday were just too cold for this transplant!

Here's one of those "only in Florida" stories for you - Seems like down in south Florida around Ft. Lauderdale there are a lot of iguanas which hang out in the trees. People have let them lose over then years and they multiply like crazy. They don't deal well with cold weather. It causes them to go into a deep sleep. Well when they fall asleep in the trees, they lose their grip and fall onto the ground! There was a story on the news last night with pictures of all these iguanas that look like they are dead, but aren't. Once it warms up, they wake up and run back up into the trees. Like I said - Only in Florida could this happen!::eek::lol

Man, that would be fun to watch the Iguanas falling out of the trees.....bet it pisses them off when they hit the ground!

Maybe someone should start a little zoo for Iguanas down there where they can really turn up down the A/C....bet they could sell tickets to that.

Raining here now.....which means it will be snowing in the mountains. The pass that we go over is 8,200 feet [Carson Pass.....named after Kit]

It really was funny seeing those iguanas falling and then looking stiff as a carp! One of the guys on the Florida thread said his wife and coworker found one and they warmed it up with a sheet of metal placed on the car. Took a little while the thaw the sucker out and off it ran! Cold iguanas are almost as much fun as fainting goats!:)D

Never did cow tipping, but my kids have. Don't forget - I was a city gal and the only cows we ever saw were on the side of a milk carton. Bordens to be exact! Here in Florida they not only tip cows, but they collect "funny" mushrooms from the cow pastures.::eek: A small company got in heaps of trouble some time ago for putting some of those pretty mushrooms in the jars of honey they were bottling!::eek:

Isn't honey bee poop?

They have a lot of those neat sail patties in the meadows too......if you're good, you can get a couple of hundred feet out of them. Make sure they're good and dry first though.

Wonder if PH is bored yet?

A lot of groups here have fund raisers called bull poop bingo. They mark off a field in a grid and you "buy" a square. They then release the bull. If he poops in your square, you win!!! I don't think you have to take the "present" with you though.
They also have cow patty tosses, but that's at the REAL redneck events. That usually happens after people go MUDDIN in their pick-em-up trucks.
Man, do I miss city living!!!!:)D

Knowing PH she shouldn't be bored yet. I'm sure she's gotten her fair share of time in the CL and has found a favorite bartender to take good care of her.;) I don't even remember what day she'll be home. I guess we'll know when she shows up to tell us she's back and doing laundry!

Time to get a few things done before I find something on TV tonight. We're off to Emily's 6th birthday party tomorrow ... Oh joy!!!

Have fun in Nevada! See ya when you get back.

Well, in upscale, sophisticated, nose in the air, silicone boobs California, we don't have those kind of events. Ours is all wine and cheese and Rodeo Drive:D Well, actually, we do, but you have to go over into the Central Valley to find them....that's where the farmers are.

Hey, do you realize that Paul K has been aboard Mariner for 31 days and still has a bunch to go....talk about sick of the dining on board. I'da been ready to come home a week ago.

You and me both. Much as I love being on a cruise, there is no way I could have done a trip this long. Eating the same meals over and over and over ... Sending out laundry over and over and over ... Seeing the same people over and over and over ... You get the picture. Nope! I couldn't do it!
Reading their Mariner posts, I see that a lot of them have come down with colds and bronchitis. Guess that's what happens when you're breathing the same air over and over and over!

Wanted to be the first to say Welcome Home, PH! Hope you had a great time and that getting off the ship was better this time than last. Now go do the laundry!!!

She stayed aboard for another cruise, huh?

Anthony won $5,000 on a dollar slot machine in Reno on Saturday night....he put $10 in and played five per spin.....won on the second spin. He had been playing penny machines, but decided to give the dollar one a spin.....he and I were just killing time because we were waiting for the ladies to get out of the stores.......if they hadn't gone in the store, we would have left earlier and he wouldn't have won. [No, it will not change my mind on women shopping....before you ask!] They handed him 50 $100 bills.....oh yeah.....and a W2.

Wow ... Lucky Anthony! Good for him. See ... Women shopping does have its advantages.:p
So did you run into a lot of snow? It's finally warming up here with 70s and up to around 80 by Wednesday. Now this is weather I like.

I know PH flew down for this cruise. Maybe she's still waiting at the airport for her flight. Sooner or later she'll check in with those left behind.

Hey, PH, glad to see you here.

I was going to ask about Dennis and if he's got a new truck yet. If not, what's he doing these days? Also ... We're going to be up you way either tomorrow or Wednesday. You and Dennis available to go out to eat? I'm thinking Harry's! I need a fondue fix!!! Give me a call. I'll be around all morning.

San - That stinks that they're already talking about rationing water. Been there - done that. What a pain!
