San - Liked your LOL on CC. Wish I could resist posting there. But some are at least as biased as they are accusing the RCs of being.

I'm kind of tired of the xpeedork telling that guy that he's a Carnival Employee though......that's as bad as something that I would do The whole thing has sought it's own level now though......business as usual.

You hear that about other cruise lines, PQ, but it seems like it's always a nightmare getting off RCCL ships.

Sometimes RCCL doesn't have the guts to stand up to offenders, PH. If they show up with big bags, they should make them wait until the appropriate color is called.....warn 'em ahead of time......then stick it to them!

Well, I must say,RCCL has improved their disembarkation(outside of D/DP)..........now everyone is assigned a lounge complete with coffee and stuff...........when it is their turn,an employee leads them out............no more annoying announcements......

Maybe we should start a no big carry off luggage campaign,San.........

PH - RCCL almost has it right with the lounges....on the Mariner they didn't make it completely clear what theater.lounge to be in. And, like Breeze said, it gets dangerous up and down the stairs. We had to up to get down to the lounge...then when they lead us out, you had to go up the stairs and then out. For some of the older people it was difficult to go up the stairs with their carry-ons or small baggage...and the ones that had to use the elevator had problems getting caught up with the group. I think it was easier being on the same level as the departure.

Guess they have to have different decks for departures with over 3000 pax.............dont think there is enough room to have separate areas for all the groups.......at least I dont think so.....

Is this the last of the chilly mornings?? I sure hope so........it was downright nippy when I let the dogs out at 7:30..........brrrrrrrrrr............I crawled back into bed when they came back in............

Time for a quick post this morning and then I have to get to work. Aside from all the normal stuff you do to get ready to go away, I found out last night that Brian & Sara will be arriving here at the same time we get home on Monday! Aaahhhh ...: They weren't supposed to be here until Wednesday, so I figured I had all day Tuesday to straighten up, vacuum, etc. So instead, today I will be cleaning and packing at the same time.

I'm getting tired already, but I better get started. I'll be back when I need a break.

Two things about the food, Tony. We hadn't cruised on RCI since June 2007 except two 3 nighters on the Sovereign, so there were a lot of new to us items on the menu.
I'm taking some medicine that is screwing with my taste and making a number of things taste not so good. I lived mostly on one hot and one cold soup and vanilla ice cream for dinner and just a taste of an entree.

Semi OK with me as from the time I last weighed in the Dr's office in December til Feb 24, I lost 36 pounds.

I spent most of the time in the casino on the slots. I hit 2 different ones for $3600 each and various others for a few hundred here and there. Had a lot of fun and brought home $6000.
That pays for all 3 seapass accounts and the hurricane shutters for the rest of our windows.

Judy got to walk with the penguins and did a zipline, plus other tours in various cities. So, she had a successful cruise, too.

As much as cruisePRN and some others have bitched about us, do you think they would spend the money for things if they bwere invited?

San - We're off to NC as PH said. Going to see J&J for a few days and will be home on Monday evening Brian & Sara will then be here for a week with the little one who won't even come to me. I hope that's changed since last time they were here. I kept telling her that she needs to stay on grandma's good side and I'm the one who buys the presents!

Paul - You really did have good luck on that cruise! It's always nice to come home with more money than you left with.

PH - It really did feel goof to sit outside today. Didn't get much of a chance with all I was doing or supervising Bert doing (See san - It's not all women's work!P)), but it was nice whenever I got a chance. Looks like the really nice temps are ready to move in and hopefully, cold weather is over. Heard on the news last night that Ocala had 16 nights with temps below freezing. That's got to be close to a record.

Time to go warm up some leftovers and relax. Early to bed tonight as we'll be up at the crack of dawn to hit the road. Probably won't check in until Tuesday. Until then, behave yourselves, and if not, have fun!!!!

Nice that you got money out of the Casino, Paul....glad someone does. Seems like a rough place to keep a diet on track. I think the food has gotten somewhat blander anyway.....atleast I thought so last year. I may have to frequent Chop's a lot more than I'm used to.

I wasn't trying to make trouble for the RCs, PH.....just trying to keep a couple of them honest about what they get out of it.

I have absolutely no energy and feel like I could go to bed right now.............cant though..............Dennis isnt home and I have to take care of the dogs......if I let them out too early, they'll be wanting to go out too early in the morning...

San - I'm leaving you in charge of getting to the bottom of this RC thing. I agree with PH about the possibility of old email addresses being used. Heck, I only realized a couple of months ago that I had an email address on file that hasn't been used since we left Ocala. I bet a lot of other people do the same thing without realizing it.

Just finished leftovers from the lamb shanks the other night and now I'm stuffed. Bert just poured us a drink of Grand Mariner, so I'm off to enjoy it. See ya ....

Hi,

I'm fine, just been very busy, with trying to tie up all loose ends at the office and getting stuff ready for the cruise and road trip.

Clothes are ready to go in the suitcases, so that's all set. I'll be at the office this morning until early afternoon, as I am doing a destination wedding for a client in Dallas, and that has to be completed this morning. Then it's home to finish up. Weather is supposed to be crappy tomorrow morning, light rain and snow showers, but hopefully we'll be heading out of it, and not into it!

Paul, I sent the Iceland stuff off to you the other day, so you should have it soon.

PH, I'll try to help keeping himself in check on here.......it's a big job, but someone has to do it! I can probably post during the evenings, but during the day you'll be on your own I don't know if our laptop will work in the car. I'm so glad your weather is getting better, for you and for us! But, to tell the truth, even 50 would be a heat wave for us!

I'll stop by later and see if everyone is behaving!
