Boy,you were all very busy talking yesterday.
Tony, you should know better......there are too many of us over here......you won't win!
AM, Tony is our NOT politically correct poster! You already figured out that he and BB need to be reminded to play nice.
Sounds like you have lots of plans for the future, so good for you. You didn't pick a very easy road, but I'm sure you'll be successful......just don't let those late nights get to you.
PQ - know what you mean about budget cuts. We're in the same boat here, and next week we'll be voting to increase taxes for the schools, police, fire, senior center, youth center, etc. Four separate tax overrides, which will pit one group against the other. They'll be lots of folks complaining about the taxes, but most of us have seen our taxes decrease the past two years (mostly due to the valuations of houses dropping). I wish they would have kept the taxes stable and kept the services. We'll have to see how the votes turn out. My sister is a teacher in Quincy (a small city just south of Boston), and has been teaching for over 15 years, but because she teaches gym and health, she might lose her job. She has one graduating from college, one entering college this September and a third following in September 2010, so she needs that job. Sometimes people are very short sighted. They want the services, but they don't want to pay for them. Our seniors don't want to pay for the schools, because they don't have kids in them, but who educated them and their children. The young parents don't want to pay for the senior center, but they'll be seniors some day. No one wants to pay the police officers and firefighter, until the need them! Some of our roads look like Bagdad during the bombing, but again, who wants to pay for it? I don't like paying taxes, but that's the price for living in a democracy. I do agree that there's lots of waste and corruption, and that should be stopped, but unless more than 20% vote in an election, what chance does that have?
Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now
BB - I too remember (sometimes) how it used to be when we were first married, and I agree that it would just take too many years to retrain someone.
K2 and Marcia, nice to see you dropping by. I'll stop over to the other place and say hello.
Everyone have a wonderful day. Temps supposed to be in the 80's today. WOOHOO! It's about time!
