What a boring day today has turned out to be! Nothing going on and no one around to hang out with. Bert's been fiddling with an electron microscope (I think that's what he called it). Now he's off to get pizza. I would have liked to go out this evening, but he said he's tired. Oh well ...

Sounds like a fun night last night, San. They did an outside movie here last week. All you could get was coke and popcorn. They made it more for the kids with a PG movie. I understand that all of 12 people even showed up to watch the movie. What a waste! Aside from at the Grill they don't allow alcohol anywhere else on their common areas so they never draw a crowd.

So what is "skyping", PH? That's a new term for me.

Skype is a site that lets you talk via phone or webcam................we talked with the webcams...............so cool to see each other............

Goofing off day around here too. Just had hot dogs & corn on the cob for lunch. The corn is so good this year! Can't remember when we've eaten so much of it this early in the season. Making cornish hens for dinner later.

Do you realize I almost mentioned weather and now just talked about food. San's head is going to be rotating!!! Sort of like this -:)P) :lol

Uh oh ... I see he's here! Hi San!!!:wave Got anything enlightening to add to this conversation?

Nope, moving kind of slow today. Looking forward to vacation in a little over two weeks.

So, Are cornish game hens made out of the corn that you are talking about? I'm guessing that they would taste a little corny.

HI,

Now my turn to talk about cooking..baked potatoes in the oven, along with chicken cutlets and corn on the cob boiling on the stove. Can't you just see someone's eye's rolling:cool::cool::cool:.

Got home around 9 last night. We were able to get on the nonstop flight Aruba to Boston, so we didn't have to change in JFK. Best part was Jet Blue didn't charge us to change, although they usually charge $40 to change on the day of flight......somehow we missed that! Laundry was done and things are getting back to normal......or as normal as they get around here. Have to work this entire week, boss has a group on the NCL Spirit........so I'm stuck in the office.

Weather is gorgeous here....temps in the high 70's lots of sunshine. After having temps of over 90, these temps feel wonderful.

Hey Rita - Welcome home! I bet those 70s feel great after the temps in Aruba. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Glad you're taking it easy, San. After all, at your age you have to take things slowly when you have a big trip coming up. I'm jealous that you're heading north again. I wonder if we'll ever make it to Alaska.:S

Went down the Grill for about an hour this afternoon. It sure has changed there. Used to be that you'd always run into someone you knew. That doesn't happen any longer. For various reasons a lot of people won't go there anymore. The guy who runs it has driven off most of the "regulars". He just doesn't get it!

PH - Got anything booked for the Monarch? I'm looking for another cruise on her after the great time we had 2 weeks ago. I have signatures blocked on here and on CC, so I can't tell if you've got anything listed.

Dinner smells soooo good cooking. I'm starting to get very hungry. Buzzer is going off, so I guess it's time to put the veggies in the oven.

Sure wish you were coming on the FR with us in Oct....instead of the Sept one...................

Watched the last Tonite show earlier.....i cracked up with the Jay walking............Omigosh-how funny!! Stupid people.......think most of them were from CA,dont you??

Ice Road Truckers start in about 15 mins!!

Darn! I forgot Ice Road Truckers starts tonight. Bert's watching some animal show on Discovery.

I too am sorry we're not doing Freedom with you. Unfortunately, we're with K&G for which I'm not happy. Might have to do MTD or late seating just so we're not stuck with them at dinner. They're not my favorite people these days, as I'm sure you've guessed by now.:X

Time to get off here for the night. I'm tired, so I'll probably go to bed early for a change. See ya tomorrow.

You should had recorded IRTs.this year they are in Alaska! and if you think last years road was bad,you have to see this one!! Only 2 guys from before are on it.........Hugh(the Polar Bear) and ????--the guy with all the kids and he had heart trouble last year.............I forget his name...............anyway,it was good............

Then i watched(on the same channel) a show called Expedition Africa...............follows 4 people who follow the same route Stanley(Livingston,I presume guy) ...........I only watched some of it cuz I went to bed,but I'll watch the rest later.............

Sorry there is trouble in paradise with the family,BB.................You dont have to say much here cuz of the roving reporters that might show up..

Good morning! Been up for hours, but this is the first chance I've had to post. Day started off with lawn people starting to mow at 7:55!::eek: Are they out of their minds?

I checked and they showed that episode of IRT again during the night. I recorded it then. May get ot watch it later today. Then I'll DVR the new episodes, so I won't miss any again.

Planning to stay up tonight and at least watch some of the Tonight Show. It will seem so strange not to have Jay Leno on. I'm not a big fan of Conan O'Brien, but I'll check it out anyway. Beats watching Letterman!

Alex is the other guy from the original IRT. I heard that one of the original young guys is going to be on the show also......didn't see one of them last night though.

My old buddy hugh is going into the hospital for heart surgery tomorrow. I'm trying to figure out if I would be welcome visiting him in the hospital.......not sure that I would be.
