WOW,

I miss one day (had my eye appointment, had the eyes dilated and couldn't see anything until late last night) and serious innuendos and potty mouth talking being done by the resident male species:D

PH, I have friends in Brooksville.....one of our friends who lived in Rockland many years ago, moved to Brooksville, told another friend and that friend moved there. I think Paul lives near Brooksville, too, but I'm not sure. Is Weeki Wachee part of Brooksville?

I sent an email to AG last night about the proposed changes to the age in specialty restaurants. I do believe they are forcing us loyal RCI's into CEL.......which is OK, as I've enjoyed my CEL cruises, and were treated splendidly aboard the last one. If they want to limit it to 5:30-7, or just to a few nights during the cruise, IMHO that's OK, but I don't want to dine with the little darlings. Every parent think their child is well behaved and wouldn't cause any problems, but that's not the point. I know the e-mail bombardment he got with the changes to the Diamond benefits influenced their thinking, so maybe if we do the same, this issue would get looked at again. I know they are trying to be family friendly, but how about those who are not travelling with their families? Apparently we don't count for much.

I do love the idea of not having to bring lifejackets to the muster drill, or at least, not having to wear them to the drill..........it's an accident waiting to happen, and besides, it so hot during those drills! At least Princess has you bring your lifejacket to a public space, bar, lounge, theater, etc., and it's climate controlled.
They show you how to wear the jacket, and then you walk to the muster station for a short time before the drill is over.......you're standing at the muster station for about 3-5 minutes. We've had quite a few drills on RCI where our muster station has been Chops, and I love those! It depends upon your stateroom, so IU'll have to try and remember which rooms we had for those drills and book those rooms again:D

off to get an inspection sticker for my car, then to the office.....another wonderfully exciting day here in Massachusetts!

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Hi Rita! Glad to see you stop by.

I was just reading that thread about possible changes RCCL is considering. I agree 100% with your comments about young children in the specialty restaurants. I LOVE parents who tell you how well behaved their little darlings are. They never say NO to their child, as God forbid, you damage their self esteem. Once went to a Ruth Chris Steakhouse with J&J and son & DIL. There was a family there with a baby about 6 months old who cried throughout the entire meal. Parents totally ignored the crying while enjoying their meal. Unfortunately, that ruined everyone else's meal. They left shortly before we were ready to leave. Waiters stopped at each table to tell us how sorry they were for this disturbance. That was bull crap for a dinner that cost about $400. Someone should have stepped up and told these people to take the child out of the room as he/she was disturbing the rest of the diners. No one had big ones enough to do that. Guess they didn't want to hurt the parents' self esteem either! Also didn't want to lose future $$$$ from that customer.

I like that no life jacket idea, especially here in Florida. I've seen too many people faint or get sick standing in that hot weather for almost a half hour packed in like sardines. I've been playing the "inside muster station" game for a while now. I think I have it figured out and will test it once again on our next cruise. I've seen a pattern the last 3 cruises.

Better get a move on. I haven't done a darn thing yet this morning. Bert's off to the hearing aid place for his weekly adjustment. I should make it look like I've done something while he's been gone. :girly

Hi all..............

I know on the MJ,you dont have to bring your lifejacket with you now................besides the heat in FL, one can trip on the stairs...........on our last MA cruise(with BB ),some man fell and hit his head after muster........we didnt even get outta the channel before we had to pull over and let him and his family off..........that was so sad.......

I know on the MN, the cabins closest to the mid elevators go to Boleros for muster...........

I crack up with the comments about How well behaved little Johnny is...............I dont care if he doesnt say a word.......its the fact,he is there.............

Sorry to rant on.........Im sounding like GB :p and I dont mean our former president............clue--todays emails we have been sharing

Paul lives near Brooksville,Rita but it is an entirely different town....................

Hey everyone,
=docdance

Got our docs today for our TA. I'm having an argument with RCI about the wording in the document booklet. It states that to qualify for a military rate, you must have a BLUE ID card. However, on their website, you need a DD214. Resolutions tellls me the book is wrong, don't even bring it, but I'm afraid some overzealous check in rep will try and deny boarding to three couples in my group who have the military discount (and who are definitely qualified for it). No one wants to put in writing that the policy is NOT a BLUE ID card, just a DD214. They tell me to print the info off the website and bring it with me.
I'll do that, but I still have concerns about it!

I certainly didn't intend to start WW3 with my e-mail.......everyone play nice.

Sure does look like the reason for allowing the ankle biters into the SR is MONEY! I agree that we have difficulty getting reservations in the SR, and when we go, a lot of the tables are empty. If they keep the tables to one couple per evening, that's their problem. If you have a 6 reservation, you could also use that table at 8:30, IMHO.

I would love the muster drills indoors and without the life jackets. We always seem to be on the sunny side of the ship in FLA......funny, but when we go out of Boston in the fall,, we are always inside. Something wrong with that picture......and we usually take the same room, regardless of the cruise.

Raining again here.....off to see the Indians tomorrow(to visit my money:D

Good luck tomorrow, Rita. Win a bundle.

Bert has gotten a military discount on RC. Just had to bring his DD214 and show it at checkin. Piece of cake. Carnival you have to fax them a copy in advance, but not on RC.

Time to call it a night. Things sure have quieted down, haven't they?

Sorry about your sore knee. Only goes to show you the old saying about "no pain ... no gain" is true. I much prefer "no exercise ... no pain!":lol

I'm so excited today after hearing and reading the news from yesterday. It's wonderful to know my old home state is back to being the # 1 MOST CORRUPT STATE in the country! WOW!!! There for a while Illinois had taken over the top spot, but thank goodness NJ and it's politicians stepped up and reclaimed the top position. It definitely is an honor they deserve... NOT! Things there never change. Over 40 years ago Bert was on a federal grand jury that convicted the mayors of 2 of the largest cities in NJ as well as many others. Did they learn anything? Noooo! Think I'll go burn my Jersey City Born & Raised shirt in protest!!!!!:)D

Yeah, I miss NJ like I'd miss a festering, oozing sore! I think the best part of the whole thing is that they were dealing in human kidneys from Israel and phony Gucci & Prada bags. What the h*ll was that all about?=huh
Think I'm gonna stop telling people I'm from Joisey. Now if I could just broaden my Rs a bit, I could say I'm from Mass.!!! Nobody's corrupt up there, are they, Rita?:lol
