Mas. or Mass. - Who really gives a crap!:lol

Trying to decide what to have for lunch. I told Bert the choices are ice cream or carrot cake. I'm leaning towards the carrot cake, because you need so many portions of veggies each day. But on the other hand - strawberry ice cream has fruit, vanilla has ... vanilla beans, whatever category they fall into, and chocolate made from cocoa bean. We all know beans are good for us, right? Now I really don't know which to pick. Of course, I could have cake and ice cream and that would take care of some of those minimum daily requirements they are always talking about. Add a glass of wine and voila .... another fruit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D*mn, I'm good!:)D

Yep! Heading for the Grill around 5:30 to meet friends and then it will be off to BINGO with the gals.

So where did you finally decide to go for dinner? Got an email from Buca that they've got some kind of contest going where everybody wins. Hmmm ... might have to look into that. Also got a $10 off coupon for Harry's. Just wish it wasn't so far to go there, as it's one of our favorite places to eat.

Morning.................

We ate at Logans(steak place).....had the most yummy salad.......................romaine,grilled chicken, cranberries, hard boiled egg, walnuts, bacon(,blue cheese crumbles come on it,but I dont like them)

we were gonna use the Harrys coupon, but figured we's spend more than we should................

Dennis is cutting the grass...............this time of year,he has to cut 2x a week..................grows so fast..............

No plans yet.............still nursing my knee..............bought a brace last night.................and some Ben Gay...............

Bought more FiestaWare dishes at macys..............it was BOGO plus 15% off if you use your card........came to $40 for it all(normally each setting is $48)..............thats how we add on .....just wait for sales..........

Tea time!!

Good morning!

Your dinner sounds great, PH. While we've got Logan's all over the place, we've never gone there. Might have to give it a try one of these days.

BINGO was fun last night. I actually won! Only problem was that what I won was more for Bert than me - Lowe's gift card. I'd much rather have won one of the food gift cards. Oh well, I'm sure Bert will have no trouble finding something to buy there.

Good idea for Dennis to cut the lawn this early. It's going to be another hot one. Bert's already been out for his walk. Most days he's not up early enough to do it and ends up waiting for evening or not going at all.

Enjoy your tea. I'm gonna grab another cup of coffee.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.I would love to win a Lowes card...more so than any other store..................weird,huh??

Dont go to Logans for steak.............while they're ok,outback is better................hey,did you know the Outback on 200 is the 3rd one ever built?? and its the 1st free standing one??? and the only one which was redecorated the way it is(its beautiful)???????? When we get steaks at Outback,we ask them to cook it Pittsburgh style(grill),not flat iron it the way they normally do.........comes out sooooooooooooooooo much better(plus I tell them to hold the seasoning--too much pepper for me)

Dennis just came in for water and he is soooooooooo sweaty...........said hes glad he didnt wait any longer cuz its already so hot......................

well, guess I should hop in the shower.......

I knew that the Ocala Outback was one of the first in the chain. That was back in the days when Ocala was being claimed as one of the top spots in the country to open a restaurant due to a number of demographics - location, population, etc. I haven't seen any of the redecorated ones yet. Our recent trips to Outback have been very disappointing. Their food just isn't the same as it was originally. We've heard this from a number of people around here. I don't know if it's just our local Outback or what, but we skip going there these days.

Bet Bert's going to decide he needs to make steak tonight. I think he was hinting when he bought sweet potatoes yesterday. That's usually the tip off!

Just went outside for a minute. There's a distinct smell of GARLIC in the air. I do believe this is the weekend of the annual Garlic Festival out San's way. Do you think he might go to get some free garlic ice cream? I just can't imagine what that would taste like=huh

I LOVE garlic...........but dont think it would make good ice cream........

Our Outback is the ONLy one redone..........and it was the 1st free standing one...........but not the 1st Outback.....the first 2 were attached to other stores(like a strip mall)............we havent liked it there until one of our Carabbas waiters(who used to work at Outback) told us how to get it cooked.........BIG difference..

Just took some pork chops outta the freezer for dinner.........its the last of the meats(except hot dogs).i swore to myself.no more buying meat until I finished what we had.............

Morning Rita!!

OK, I'll see if I can remember what I said.

Yesterday we visited our money at Mohegan Sun and left them some more, so the other money wouldn't be lonesome! Seriously we had a good time, had a nice meal, and were home by 9.
We have lots of points, so we don't pay to shop or eat, which is a good thing. You can't use the points for gambling, but they do send us free slot credits, which we usually exhaust in the first half hour or so.........at least that's what happened yesterday.

We've been to the Logan's on 192 in Orlando, and it was pretty good. We don't go to the Outback very often, but we went to one in FLL before our March cruise and it was pretty good. Of course, we had a couple of drinks each, and we were with friends of ours and we were happy about going cruising the next day, so maybe that had something to do with it:)

I was glad to hear that all Bert needed to prove his military discount was his DD214, because that's all we have. 3 of the 4 couples are on a military discount, and I have printed the requirements from the RCI website, and I'll bring it along. Hey, BB, our local Lowe's and Home Depot offer a veterans discount for anyone who is a veteran.....you might want to check it out.....it's probably chain wide. Since Bert spends so much time there, it might pay for a dinner out for the two of you!

PH, hope Dennis takes it easy.....it's too hot to be mowing. We are finally having summer, so we're heading over to Kevin's in a bit for a barbecue and swim. Tomorrow night the rain returns!

Looks like we might not be going to Florida until we get back from the TA. Of course, I'm sailing with friends on the EN September 24, so we'll have to fit it in between that and the repo on October 27. Maybe I can just stay after the EN and Bill can fly down during the girls cruise, and get started on stuff. The more I think about that, the more I like it!

See you all later. Enjoy the weekend!

Rita

ok,back in from some pool time.............I conked out while on my floatie...........those darn muscle relaxer pills Im taking............

Sorry you didnt win $$$,Rita but at least you had a good time.........

I think your idea of Bill coming down while you're cruising is a good one...............My friend(who I cruise with alot) will be on the same cruise as you.........EN Sept 24th.. PLUS I have another friend who booked it............hes working towards cruise #100 by end of this year.....hes on the Mn right now and I think that is number 96 for him...........he cruises alot..........

Dennis just finished..........after the lawn,he pressured washed the driveway and curb................hes now in the pool...........I asked him what he is doing next?? hahaha I did tell him I was J/K!!
I didnt know Lowes/HD offer discounts.............I thought that was just over Memorial Day weekend..........My FIL would qualify.......

Have a craving for pizza...........but have those chops thawing...what shall I do??

I hadn't heard about a veteran's discount at Lowes or Home Depot either. I'll have to have Bert look into it. He spends way too much time at both places.

Just got back from the Grill with a couple of girl friends. Now I have to think about making dinner. I think linguine with white clam sauce works!
