Glad to hear your documents arrived.

I also wonder how things went downhill so quickly. I was saying to Bill today how last year at this time we were getting ready for Marcia & Carl's stay with us before the TA.............seems like just yesterday.

Hope Carl can keep going, but he will probably have to stay in assisted living. I don't know how he'll cope without Marcia driving him everywhere.

I'm just happy she's not in any pain.......my mom was on morphine drip the last few days of her life, and at least I know she was not in any more pain or fear.......So very sad.

BB, you better get on here, your big brother is picking on us...

I'm here Rita. Better late than never, right? We were out of here by 8 this morning to head up to say good-bye to Missy, Jimmy & the boys. I don't know how I did it, but I managed not to cry until I got in the car.

After that we drove up to Laurie & Ron's house. They took us to see the brand new house they are buying. It's really nice, but there's nothing and no one around them. They sure don't have to worrk about the neighbors complaining! They should close in about 2 weeks. Can we say one heck of a house warming party?:clap:

I've been seeing pictures of those fires out your way, San. Not a great time to be in California.

And what's this about Bill & Bert not listening and being comforted with all the blah, blah, blah. That's BS. Rita & I whack them on the side of the head to get their attention. It works every time. Right Rita?

And for the record, Bert's Peter Pan comment was not about the curls. It was about the length that the beautician cut my hair. She got a bit (well, more than a bit) carried away this time. Guess we shouldn't have started talking about politics. I think it was her way to get back at me! Might have to find a new place to go to.

I too can't believe how quickly Marcia has gone down hill. She's always been so full of life. Thanks goodness she isn't feeling any pain. I feel so bad for Carl. Marcia has always been his rock. Definitely not a good or happy time for those of us who know and love Marcia.

When Carl called me this morning, he was really broken up when talking about Marcia's predicament. I don't know how long he will last without her.....they always had a cruise to look forward to......and now, all that is gone......seems like, in a blink of an eye.

It's so heartbreaking to know what Marcia is going through. I too believe Carl won't last much longer if he doesn't have Marcia. They are so devoted to each other.

Going to visit with friends this afternoon. I promised them I would mix up special cocktail this afternoon. Just hope I remember how to make it!!

Nice quiet day here. Never got to go to my friend's house today. We'll do it tomorrow afternoon instead.

Keeping an eye on the tropics. We're heading for NC on Thursday and due to come back on Monday. I hope Ana & Bill don't mess us up. And I am talking about the tropical storm (soon to be a hurricane) and not the Bill we all know & love.

Hi,

Florida weather here in MA recently.....temps in the 90's and hot! Can't complain, as this is the first time we've had summer this year, and it will be over soon and fall will be here.

Hope Ana and Bill don't bother you, BB, but looks like Bill may miss FL and head either out to see or towards the eastern seaboard above FL. Sure hope it doesn't impact our flight out on Sunday the 30th, but it's too far out to worry.

Has anyone watched "There goes the Neighborhood". It's such a stupid show, but I can't not watch.........pits neighbor against neighbor. Prize to the last neighbor standing is 250,000. I can't imagine these people will be able to live side by side when this is over.

I can't stand reality TV, but lately that's all I've been watching. Great American Road Race is such a knock off the TAR, but you find yourselves rooting for some to win and others to lose. What an exciting life I lead!

Off to the office in a bit to finish up my Oct repo group. Then I really hve to think about organizing stuff for London and the TA. Thank heavens the luggage restrictions don't apply to international travel.

By now, PH should be heading home, if she's not there already. Time to get the laundry done, PH, and get back to the REAL world. You do need to take the time to tell us how your MN trip was this time. I'm sure great.

Rita - I wouldn't worry too much about hurricane Bill at this point. Looks like we're going to have dodged a bullet on that one.

I have been watching the weather in the panhandle closely today though. Missy, Jimmy and the boys left for Texas last evening. Missy called around 10 to let me know they were stopping in Tallahassee for the night due to the storm ahead of them. I know they're back on the road again this morning (I check on what's happening with my children on Facebook, as a lurker!) and are planning to drive straight through to San Antonio. I think they're nuts, as Jimmy's company is paying for hotels.

Don't work too hard today, Rita. Don't want to wear yourself out at the beginning of the week!

Hi all............Back home and on my 2nd load of laundry.............had to return Dennis' rental too..............now Im ready to crash..............

Had a nice time............the staff really made me feel special............the guest relations desk(staff and officers) all signed a bday card for me and wrote little expressions.......not just their names..........they also decorated my cabin with all the streamers and other bday stuff............got a bottle of wine from the LA..bottle of champagne from the GSM........had the piano guy play Happy Bday to me at the P/D party..............they are one very special staff/crew on that ship...............Oh yea, the pool band sang HB to me at sailaway...............nice to be spoiled.................now back to the real world..........Thanks to you guys(BB,Rita and San) for the bday wishes too..........those are special as well............

I imagine it was hard saying bye to Missy and family,BB.................so when is that trip out west gonna be????

I like the Road Trip show too,Riat....can you believe how spoiled the Coonts(?) kids were last week when they lost????????? Little brats.....

I agree San........I imagine Carl wont last much longer without Marcia(this is all sucha shocker).........you hear about couples like that all the time...............poor guy........and I wonder about Aunt Wily..........bet she never thought she would outlive Marcia..

I just was looking to see the last time she posted on CC.......it was July 4th,but she was on again Aug 1st(but no post).........AUG 1st!! and now its only 16 days later and one very observation I made..........she joined CC AUGUST 17,2001............exactly 8 years ago today.........

Im gonna miss her.........

Regarding Marcia's join date.

WOW........PH........that's about the spookiest thing ever about Marcia joining CC the same date she passed away.
I truely am going to miss all the "Squirrel pictures" and jokes she use to e-mail to me. This was just WAY TOO FAST.
So very sad.

It is probably a blessing that it was all fast................better than suffering with cancer for months or even years........saw my mom deal with that and it is no quality of life........Marcia was spared all that and for that,she was very lucky.

Hey BB--forgot to tell you,I looked for your message and it wasnt there.........even the book was gone!! Now who the heck would check out a book like that on a cruise??? Must had been pretty bored.......haha

Rita------how about Road trip last night?? I was really hoping the losers would had stayed(I wont say much ,in case you havent watched it),but they were very gracious.............at first I wasnt rooting for the New Yawkers,but saw a different side last night and I like them......

San-to get to the captains table,just go straight to the middle of the dining room...........hahahah (PS--got an invite this weekend,but we didnt bring formal clothes,so had to decline)........Figures....thats about the 4th time,that has happened............Had our formal dinner at Senor Frogs instead..hahah

Morning! I was rudely awakened shortly after 7 by guys working on the pool next door. They're putting bricks around the inside rim of the pool and have to keep using a saw to cut the bricks. Definitely didn't get my day off to a good start!

Hey, there ain't nothing wrong with doing formal night at Senor Frogs. The question is though as to whether they make "formal" balloon hats???? :scratch: Which one do you go to? ... The real one downtown or the 1/2 one at the pier? We usually go to the 1/2 one for beer and nachos.

I guess I better start thinking about our trip to NC and take care of the little details like stopping the newspaper and doing laundry. This really is an easy one to get ready for. No formal nights at J&J's house.

Time for another cup of coffee and to take a swing around the boards.

Tony, you know the answers, even though last time you tried to sneak booze on and you were sent to the naughty room for the iron in your suitcases(nice of you to iron Nancy's clothes). I was glad to see that they let you take the extension cord for your hair curlers.....wouldn't want you to have to appear in public without your curly hair.....

Hey, PH, any suggestions for getting them to upgrade the 4 of us to the RFS?
I could call C & A and suggest we would take it if offered, but I don't want to beg.... There is a guarantee suite category for only a little more than we paid, but I wouldn't like getting a JS for 4 of us. Maybe Marcia can put in a good word for me with the powers that be!

I was rudely awakened this morning, too, by the landscape guys cutting the grass here. Seems to get earlier and earlier every week. There is something to be said for being deaf......himself is still sleeping.....noise didn't bother him at all!

Off to work, hopefully won't be in the office all day, but probably until at least 3.....then off to cribbage tonight.....just this week and next week, and cribbage season will be over....not that it matters to us.....we will end up on the bottom this year. First to worst.....
