How do I get myself into things? A friend just called and wants me to join a Bunco group. I am totally clueless as to what the he!! Bunco is beyond it being 12 people at 3 tables and it's a dice game. You have to anti up to get in the game and it's a themed gathering. Give me a break!! I got out of it this time, but I know she's going to be calling next month. Wonder what excuse I can come up with next time! By the way, PH - You were my excuse this time. I told her we have to head your way as we already made plans to have dinner with you! Am I going to rot you-know-where for telling that lie?

hahaha.I used to be in a Bunco group..........you meet once a month at someones house(everyone has one turn a year).........you prepare some goodies for them.............anyway,its a dice game.......you have to roll to get certain numbers................you play 4 at a table(3 tables set up) and after each round,some of you move so everyone eventually sits with everyone.............you have a partner too........kinda hard to explain..................I quit after a year or so cuz I got tired of it............its a montly commitment.........had fun,but after awhile,it got old........for me at least................

You could always substitute and see if you want to commit to it..............

That's what I told the gal. If they needed me to substitute and I was available, I'd do it. Apparently it's mostly people who don't live here in Bellalago either. Not sure why I'd even want to be included. Oh well, time will tell.

Man, I am stuffed! Just finished peppers, onion & sausage sandwiches, pasta salad and corn on the cob. Now it's time to hunker down to watch some football. Hey, Gordon - I'm actually going to cheer for FSU tonight!!! I want them to be ranked higher when we kick their butts come November!

Just finished playing some Wii with Matt................Dennis is in bed.getting up at 2am.........

No football for me............gonna watch Anthony Bourdain at 10.......hes doing ethnic food in the suburbs of NYC..............now thats good stuff!!

Morning! Happy Tuesday to those of us who don't have to go to work today. Sorry to those who do.

Checked my programing guide and saw that AB's program was a new one, so I recorded it. Thanks anyway for answering, even if it was too late. LOL

That was an exciting football game last night. It was a much better game than we expected, but then again, when the Noles & Canes get going, anything can happen. Stayed up was too late watching it though.

I think today is a good day to go shopping. Think I'll hit Michael's for a new autumn wreath for the front door. I'd also like to get over to World Market to see if they've gotten in Bert's favorite gingersnap cookies yet.

Funny how the kids have their favorite meals, isn't it? Missy's is sauerbraten. Brian's is meatloaf. Don't know if Laurie has one. Gary & Kris' is whatever they don't have to buy or cook! LOL

Speaking of G&K, they leave on the Carnival Freedom this weekend. I think it's for 8 nights. Don't ask me where the cruise is to, as I never bothered to ask. I'm thinking eastern Caribbean.

Home again................had a yummy veggie burrito........so fresh........

Now he's enjoying some pool time before he heads back to NY where it will be only 59 degrees this week!

He needs to soak up as much heat as possible with those temps. I hated this time of the year up north. Labor Day = the end of summer. So glad it's not that way down here.

Got to watch AB's eating fest in NY. Some of that stuff was gross! I did know about the "real" Mexican food. Back when we still had the plaza, the Mexican restaurant made the real stuff too. Always amazed me with the kind of meat they would put in tacos. They sure were good though.

Waiting for Bert to get back from Lowes so we can go to Michaels. I think he's buying shelves to display his trains on the wall of the computer room. Back in Ocala the computer room was my Gator room. Here he claimed the computer room for a mix of his goodies. I ended up with a book shelf in the den for my Gator stuff. Bummer!!! I am also slowly claiming the lanai. One half Gator and one half tropics.

Can you believe it's been 4 years already since we sold that house? Absolutely amazing. Funny part is that just yesterday while messing with the computer, I opened up the Dot Photo site where I put up the pictures of the house. There's even one of the Gator room!!

Went to Michaels. Just couldn't justify spending $60. for a wreath that will be up for about 2 months. Went over to Joannes and got a 40% off wreath plus a 40% off thingie that I'm going to hot glue to the wreath. So for $30. I got something similar to the ones at Michaels for half the price! Was I good or what?

By the way - Is Hobby Lobby still open on 200? Bert wants to stop there when we come up this weekend. What are you and Dennis up to on Sunday? That looks like the day we'll be up in your neck of the woods.

Time to put the corn on. Having hot dogs with onion sauce tonight.
