just read this about the MN...........
Yes, nightly diamond event was 5pm to 8pm. It was full every night right after 5pm (get there early) but when we went back about 7:30 after the dinner, there was only few people in there. Morning breakfast in Viking Crown Lounge was so nice and quiet, only few people at the time when we were there. They had there everything for breakfast what we usually eat, gravlox, cold cuts, cheese, rolls, bagels, fruits, pastries etc. and of course coffee, tea and some juices.

Where do they have the nightly event on MN? Viking Crown also? Guess we'll have to give it a try, especially if the prices remain so low.
We're not planning to book anything while on EN. Why bother? Since they eliminated being able to use all the benefits together, I'd rather just take it one booking at a time. Besides I'm thinking about jumping ship and trying the Carnival Dream when it comes out. Just not sure for when that would be.

Missy called a little while ago asking about MN. Seems like the Dr. is treating his staff & spouses to a 3 night in November. Might have to think about doing that one. Heck of a thing when that's the only way I get to see my daughter these days! I also was looking at Thanksgiving on MN. Rates are very reasonable with resident and senior rates. That was surprising.

I would really LOVE to a NYEs one again................but on RCCL, they are all 5 nighters............Carnival Sensation does a Thursday to Sunday one which would be perfect cuz Dennis would already have off............wouldnt be my top pick ship,but for celebrating NYEs,it would be fun,,,,

Morning, PH, and anyone else who might stop by ... Janet, Gordon, KC. It definitely is another beautiful day in the neighborhood.
Ended up going out for dinner last night. Went to Logan's Steakhouse. Do you have one in Ocala, PH? We've been seeing their commercials for 2 dinners for like $13.95 and decided to give it a try. I was really surprised how good their meatloaf was. Got home in time to watch the DWTS results show. Aside from wanting to see who was eliminated, they did a tribute to Patrick Swayze. The pro dancers danced to "She's Like the Wind" ( song he wrote with his wife in mind), "Unchained Melody" and "I Had the Time of My Life". Could not have picked 3 more perfect songs. Needless to say, by the time they were finished -

WE do have Logans............next to Applebees by the movie theater.............have eaten a few times...........never had the meatloaf........last time I had a salad with chicken,cranberries,etc and it was sooooooooo good.................

The backsplash is different shades of brown ... From beige to mottled browns. Come in sheets with shades mixed. Also doing approx. 4 inch border tiles to mix it up a bit. Got the stuff at Lowes. Tiles are ceramic and are harder to cut than most. Costing $200 to do the job. Bert was going to do it himself, but would have needed to rent machine to cut tiles so he said the heck with it and bit the bullet and hired the guy. Now you'll just have to come down and see how it looks.

He's a local guy that Bert found in the newspaper. Sorry ... I'm not going to find you a guy in the Blunder!!! We bought the materials ourselves, so the $200. is for labor.
Maybe when you and Dennis come down, we could go to Bahama Breeze. Hopefully, by then the weather will have cooled off a bit and we could eat out o the patio. With the music playing, it would (almost) feel like being on a cruise!!!
Have fun shopping. Think we might head for the Grill this afternoon for a beer once this guy is finished working. Might need it by then! I don't want to disturb the guy, so I can't even make lunch!

The backsplash looks fantastic! The guy did a super job. Can't wait until tomorrow when we can wipe it all down once the grout is dry. I'm very pleased with it and thought it was well worth the money.
Went to Joanne's to pick up some of their BOGO stuff. I can't believe they even have their Christmas stuff which only went out on display a few days ago, is already on sale.
Never made it to the Grill. Due to lightening in the area, they closed the pool area down, so the Grill had no business. Guy who runs it told them at the anenity center that he was going to close and asked them to call us, so that we didn't make a trip there for nothing. I thought that was so funny, as we were planning to go as soon as Bert got back from another trip to Lowes.
Time to call it a night and go watch Jay Leno. Talk to ya in the AM!
