Good morning. Another pretty day in the Sunshine State.

Rita - Glad Keven is home and working on getting everything under control. I guess it takes some tweeking to get the numbers where they should be.

We're planning to kit Kevin's too, if it's not too hot. I'd also love to eat at that place we went to where you and Bert had the lobster clubs. Unfortunately, we leave too early to really enjoy lunch there. Oh well ...

We're just planning to go to Senor Frog's 1/2 right at the pier. That's about all we've done lately. Have a couple of beers, nachos, listen to the music and people watch. Cheap afternoon, plus you never lose sight of the ship! Last time we were there, the biggest entertainment was watching them get a gal drunk as a skunk back on the ship. I never laughed so much in my life!!

Kris & Gary get back from their cruise today. Guess I should be nice and give them a call. Might even be extra nice and invite them for dinner! Am I a sweetie or what? Glad San isn't around to answer that!!!

PH - Didn't see that you had posted. Glad to have been of assistance telling you all about your city. Maybe I should start something like Eddie in NY. I could be TBP!!!!

Have a great day ladies!

I'll take it but someone should have told the offense that we were playing football. Too close for comfort.

I totally agree, Gordon. And what the heck was up with Tim? An interception and a fumble ... Just wasn't his day. Then add in the unsportsmen like penalty against Florida when we were ready to get the ball back and instead it led to the Vols touchdown. I also don't think the fans got into the game like they normally do. I remember leaving the Tenn. game and not having a voice for 3 days!!! Just not the same any longer.

Good morning! Just poured my second cup of coffee, so it's time to see what's going on around here. As usual, not much! LOL

Dinner last night was really delicious, if I must say so myself. I love baked pork chops. Dessert was fresh pineapple slices from the pineapple we got at Sam's. It was so sweet and juicy.
The downside of the whole deal was that after I had already invited K&G and company for dinner, we saw our next door neighbors. They invited us out to dinner to make up for putting up with the mess while their pool went in, Had to turn down the invite and told them they didn't have to do that. Insisted that they still want to take us out another night. Guess we can do that, right? Also have an open invitation to use their pool anytime we want.

Guess I should start thinking about what to bring on the cruise next week. Didn't say pack ... just think. Speaking of the cruise, there's still 2 FS available, including the one right next door to us. Think we could "accidentally" switch to that one?:boogie: LOL

wow,,,my neighbors didnt invite us to dinner................BTW-they just put up one of those white plastic fences(not my style)on their sides..,plus they linked it onto the the existing wooden privacy fence(it runs across the back)..........UGH!!

Heard the new Disney Dream prices are insane.............balconies to Alaska start at $2500pp and the PC crossing starts at $3500!! Disney can keep on dreaming...............

Having pork chops here tonite..............was gonna grill them..............how do you bake them without drying them out?? Thats usually my problem.Im from the old school where pork has to be well done..........and I know its not that way anymore.........I still cant get over them asking in restaurants, how you would like them cooked........

Ok,found out what it is........

New Feature - Give Thanks to posters
Hi, Many users want to say Thank You to users for writing such great posts. You can now send your thanks by clicking on a Thanks button you will find below the first post of each thread. It will then show the Author your name and when you said "Thanks" to them for the great post.

I have kept this limited to the first post to keep it simple to start off with.

We still like posts to show and say 'Thank You' but this is another great option for all of our users.

This is too funny! I see where you can say thanks on the first post of all the other threads (at least the ones I checked), but there's no thanks symbol for this thread. Guess John doesn't want us thanking you, PH, for starting this thread after 4,513 replies. Darn! I would have said thanks, if it was there! Now I can't!:bawl: Oh heck, I'll say thanks anyway. LOL:clap:

I'm not feeling the love around here. Are you, PH?

Landscapers are here to pressure clean the house. Ya gotta love this crew ... They'll do anything for an extra buck! They really are hard workers.

Hi everyone

Just talked to Gordon, and he is on I -75 trying to get home at 20mph. Ugh! He is floating home in his car and asked me to send our boat up for him. Tomorrow is the first day of Fall, so, where is some cooler weather. Don't like cold, but, we are so hot this week.

About 3 1/2 weeks away from the Monarch, and getting excited. Wish it was a seven day cruise, but, can't afford it right now. Bad economy is putting a damper on our cruising!

Guess I will go check out the other boards! Take care--had pork chops for lunch today, but, I fried mine. Would like to know how to fix them in the oven without them drying out also.

If you insist, PH -

Here's how I do the pork chops - I bread them with egg and cracker meal (salt and pepper in both) and then brown them in the frying pan. If I have any, I use bacon fat to brown them for extra flavor. After browning I put them in a roasting pan. I put water into the frying pan and mix it with any drippings. I pour this mixture into the pan with the pork chops and also add about a cup more water. Bake at 350 for about an hour. Check that water remains in the pan and if needed add a bit more. Once chops are done, I make gravy from what's in the pan. Chops come out moist and very tender. That's my gang's favorite way to have them made.

If all your chops fit at the same time in frying pan, you can cook them the same way stove top. Just add some water to the pan once chops are browned. Reduce heat, cover, and let cook for about an hour, checking to make sure there's still water in the pan.

Using either method, I make my gravy for this one using leftover cracker meal from breading at the beginning. Cracker meal will thicken gravy. That's a trick my mother taught me years and years ago!

And just in case you don't know what they are (as PH didn't) cracker meal is almost the same thing as bread crumbs, only finer and made from crushed crackers. If you don't have any cracker meal, just use bread crumbs.

Give it a try, Janel. The chops are so temder this way, you can cut them with a fork!

That is some flooding up Atlanta way. Saw pictures of it earlier. And we need rain here so badly. Haven't had anything in over a week now. Plus our sprinklers haven't come on (controlled by the powers that be around here!) since we put the new landscaping in last week. Poor Bert has to keep going out and watering them every evening.
