I'll have to keep Crate & Barrel in mind during our quest. Think we'll hit World Market first. Even if they don't have what I want, I know they will have "goodies" to eat that we like.:clap: Also need to go to Burlington Coat Factory for some outfits for Mallorie's birthday next week and stop at Beall's for a Halloween shirt. They're on sale this week! Also looking for a new mat to put on the lanai by the sliding door. Last one got really nasty after a while. So now you know my plans for the day. If we don't get out of here soon, nothing will get done. Oh, and I almost forgot ... BINGO tonight!!!

Hello to all---just got home from errands--and boy is it hot! We have a heat index of 100. You know you want it Gordon 
. I just want it a little cooler. PH what ship are you going on ? We hope to get a seven day in next year, but, will have to wait and see. Nothing much planned for this week end. Was suppose to watch grandson in a football game tomorrow, but, he messed the bottom of his big toe up climbing on the neighbors boat trailer. Other than that, really nothing planned. I'm sure we will grill out, so, maybe it will be a pool day. Take care everyone.

PH, the Ecstacy was the only ship in port with us, and SF beach was not crowded at all. If you get there early, you can have seats rights at the water. People seemed to be coming mostly around noon or later. I think they probably went shopping downtown first.
Janet, send some of that heat up here. Heat is on in the house, it's in the 50's, gloomy, rainy, gray, YUCK! Welcome to fall in New England.

I agree Janet,it is way too hot.......I'd gladly give Gordon and Rita some of it........we're going on the Grandeur.....little 4 nighter......love going outta Tampa and hopefully,my fav captain will be there.......
went to the mall to get a mani/pedi........ran into Laurie,BB.......I gave her my congrats!! Boy,is Addie getting big........whatta cutie too..........
stopped at the dry cleaners on the way home to pick up my "winter" curtains....I change the bedroom from whites to browns........anyway, I figured they would do a better job pressing the curtains.........I pulled up and the guy put them in my backseat,then told me I owe $52!!!!!!!!!!!
I told him he was crazy and to take the curtains out.......I didnt want them..........heck,they are only lightweight curtains from Walmart.......not like they are drapes and there are only 4 panels...........well, his wife started yelling at me and at him(in Chinese) and said they would not take them back..........and she started showing me all the curtains they cleaned and how much they cost..................Frankly Scarlett,I didnt give a damn............anyway,figured the only way outta there was to claim I didnt have enuf $$$ with me and that I would be back next Friday to get them........ LIKE HE!! I will............ $52 to clean curtains that didnt even cost that much............I'll buy new ones and iron them myself.........
They finally took them back and made sure to tell me,they have my phone number................not sure what they can do with that except call me(thank goodness for caller ID).......they dont have my name or addy............
Im not going back to pay that..........thats insane and boy,was I HOT!
and I usually have a good temper with problematic people,but thats was ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Think they can do anything to me?? They do have signs up......anything left after 90 days will be donated........they can have them as far as I am concerned..........

That was hot as you-know-where while we were out shopping. I couldn't wait to get home to the nice cool AC. Got most of what I needed. Didn't go looking for the wine rack yet though. Got most of the stuff at Burlington, which was a good thing. Then we hit Sam's and I got some books for Mallorie to go with her outfits. We also picked up Halloween candy while we were there, so we had to head home before the chocolate melted.
Not it's almost time to head for the Grill and a bite to eat before it's BINGO time!!

BB, how did you do at bingo last night..hope you won big...
I seriously need to get some stuff done around here..my niece is bringing her boyfriend from Maryland over tommorrow for a visit.. at least my sister is bringing lunch so I don't have to cook...need to go to the grocery store too..only thing in the freezer are healthy choice dinners...which I "should" be eating..but they aren't very filling...

KC - Must be the week for visitors. My nephew and his wife from NJ, plus their twin 4 year olds, are down here on vacation. For a change the family gathering will be at Kris & Gary's, so the kids can go swimming. I just have to fix some peppers, onions and mushrooms to go with the steaks. I can dso that!!
BINGO did not go well last night. So close, but no cigar all evening. Oh well ... There's always next time.
Time to put on ESPN Game Day and get in the mood for football!

Enjoyed the chili cook off.............Ive had enuf chili to last a year.......it was sooooooooooooooooo hot out,that I bought 2 beers and downed them.......
